Review:

Wakedas is a Puzzle game released on Nintendo 3DS in 2013. In this game, players slide rows of colored shapes on a grid to try to ensure that all colors on the grid are contiguous, aiming to do so in as few moves as possible.

The presentation here is simple, light and colorful, but there’s not a lot to it. In fact, between the bright colors and cartoony sound effects, this feels at times a bit like a mobile game.

As for the gameplay itself, there’s not really too much to say. Wakedas is extremely simple, but it makes for an okay Puzzle game, and there’s enough variety in different types of pieces that players will find this game to be a decent enough time-waster, and probably worth its $3 price tag, but not much more than that.

Look, I’ll make it easy for you. So easy, in fact, that you won’t even have to download the free demo for the game to know if you’ll like it. Just look up a video of it online. Within seconds of watching it, you’ll have a good idea what this game is about and whether or not it’s worth $3 to you. So… you’re welcome?

tl;dr – Wakedas is a Puzzle game that has players sliding colored shapes to try to make all colors contiguous, in as few moves as possible. This is a very simple Puzzle game, but it makes for a decent enough time-waster.

Grade: C+
