Review:

ZaciSa’s Last Stand is a Tower Defense game released on Wii U in 2014. This game has players setting up defenses around a planet to fend off extraterrestrial attackers. This game is entirely controlled using the Wii U gamepad’s touchscreen.

The graphics here are about as mediocre and primitive as you might expect to find in a game, with everything in the game making use of extremely simple 2D images, and your weaponry’s field of view apparently filled in by crayon. The soundtrack at least is decent, featuring a range of synthesized songs that are at least a bit catchy.

As for the gameplay… well, it works, at least. Players have multiple installations around their planet that they can turn into turrets, a variety of turrets to choose from, and then a variety of upgrades for each turret. The amount of options here is quite good. However, everything is so visually bland that it’s not really easy to see how well your defenses are working, save for the speed at which enemy life bars deplete.

There’s just not much to ZaciSa’s Last Stand, really. It’s a bland, ugly Tower Defense game. In its defense, it was released with the low price tag of $3, and in the time since its price has dropped down to $1. So if you’re looking for a Tower Defense game that’s super-cheap… well, this is it. But you get what you pay for.

tl;dr – ZaciSa’s Last Stand is a Tower Defense game that’s ugly, bland, and does little to set itself apart within the genre. However, its $1 price tag may still make it appealing for players who want a Tower Defense game that’s super-cheap. I suppose at that price, it may be worth it… but not much more than that.
