Wandersong is a Puzzle-Platformer that puts you in the role of a bard looking to save the world with his song. This plays out as a musical journey that’s surprisingly charming.

The game’s writing here is clever without being very pointed, making this a good “suitable for youngsters, but enjoyable for adults” title. Likewise, the game’s puzzles, which center around a multicolored wheel that represents the different notes the bard can sing, are fairly simple but still manage to find ways to be clever every now and then… though you will find yourself doing a fair amount of “Simon Says” with them.

The game’s visuals are really rudimentary, with characters looking like simple paper cutouts. It’s not going to impress anyone, but it is at the very least a distinct and endearing style. However, the game’s music fittingly is quite wonderful, and helps bring everything together as just a lovely overall experience.

While no individual part of Wandersong necessarily excels in any significant way, all together these notes find a harmony that’s absolutely charming, and players looking for a pleasant, relaxing musical journey, or a good game for youngsters or casual players, will find Wandersong to be an excellent choice.

tl;dr – Wandersong is a Puzzle-Platformer that has players in the role of a bard looking to save the world by singing different musical notes to solve puzzles. The game doesn’t do anything truly groundbreaking, but in every part of its design it is ridiculously charming, and it should make for a great experience for younger players, casuals, and those just looking to enjoy a lighthearted musical adventure.
