Review:

Xtreme Club Racing is an Arcade-style racing game that has you driving down mostly-linear downhill racing courses with Arcadey physics. There, I went a whole sentence without trashing this game. Hoo boy, is this game awful. Where do I even begin?

Well, firstly, the graphics – this game’s visuals look like they’re somewhere between PlayStation One and PlayStation 2 in quality, with ugly textures, low-polygon environments, and chugging framerates. Pair it with a disposable rock soundtrack and you have a game that bounces between something forgettable and something you’ll wish you could forget.

The gameplay here is not much better. Steering in this game is a real chore, and it honestly feels like steering a boat with how long it takes your input to actually get your vehicle to respond. Plus, on top of this, the game’s physics are terrible, with collision into scenery apparently not even affecting your car’s speed all that much. There are racing games with unrealistic physics that are still fun, sure, but there gets to be a point when you can’t really steer and it doesn’t really matter if you run into that structure in front of you where you start to wonder, “what is even the point here?”

The answer: There is none. Xtreme Club Racing is ugly, controls terribly, is devoid of fun, and I’m kinda’ glad there’s no multiplayer because there’s no temptation to subject a second person to this trash. If you’re looking for a racing game on the Nintendo Switch, get just about any other racing game. Trust me, you don’t want this one.

tl;dr – Xtreme Club Racing is an Arcade-style Racing game with absolutely terrible graphics, poor controls, and has pretty much no redeeming qualities. Do not get this horrendously awful game.
