Review:

Road to Ballhalla is an Arcade-Style Ball-Rolling Maze Game with Music-Rhythm elements, where you’re evading hazards that move in time with the beat of the music.

There’s… really not much to say about this one. The game is functionally fine but doesn’t do anything extraordinary here. The game doesn’t really make great use of the ball-rolling physics like games such as Super Monkey Ball do, and it doesn’t really push the music-rhythm elements in the same way that games like Crypt of the Necrodancer does. They’re there and they function, but don’t do much beyond that.

The graphics, similarly, work but don’t do anything extraordinary. The game has a clean-looking interface that does not impress graphically or have much personality. The game tries to inject personality with funny little mocking text messages, and that’s something… but it’s not much.

In the end, Road to Ballhalla is an okay ball-rolling game that doesn’t do anything especially interesting, and is largely devoid of personality. It’s fine, but forgettable.

tl;dr – Road to Ballhalla is a Ball-Rolling Maze Game with Music-Rhythm elements. It’s decent, but doesn’t do anything particularly noteworthy, and is devoid of personality.

Grade: C
