Review:

Mom Hid My Game! is a puzzle game where players take the role of a young boy whose mom, in frustration with her kid constantly on his videogame, took it from him and hid it in a series of 50 different puzzles of increasing insanity.

It’ll start with simple stuff, like looking behind the books on the shelf and using a broom to get at the area under the bed, but soon enough you’ll be trying to get past a bike race in your living room and using a stick to pry open the jaws of a crocodile.

The game’s crazy logic is one of its greatest strengths and one of its biggest weaknesses. One of the best things about this game is seeing just what ridiculous lengths mom has gone to in hiding the thing in the level (and the similarly ridiculous hiding spots she chooses), but at the same time, occasionally the game’s logic just doesn’t make any sense, making it somewhat of a trial-and-error thing. Thankfully, these puzzles are rarely complex, so that’s not going to slow you down for long, and there’s a card-matching minigame you can always play if you need a hint.

That said, the puzzles available here are done fairly quickly, and the lack of difficulty means that while a small child might find this a good time-waster, most will likely find it to be a minor distraction at best.

Still, despite its lacking depth as a game, Mom Hid My Game is still a fun little oddity, and an amusing concept. It’s just not one that lasts long.

tl;dr – Mom Hid My Game is a puzzle game about a boy searching for his hidden game machine in increasingly bizarre and silly situations. It’s amusingly silly, but it’s not very deep and won’t be much more than a minor distraction.
