One Person Story is a Mobile-Style 1-Button Arcade game where players are pressing a button to open and close doors and other elements as a ball bounces through each level, with the goal being to try to ensure that it gets to the top safely.
Visually, One Person Story is fairly minimalist. However, while the visuals are nothing special, each level is accompanied by orchestral music and usually a pseudo-inspirational voice over. While i could do with out the eye-rolling inspirational messages, the music in this game is actually really nice, and I would say it’s the game’s best feature.
As for the gameplay itself, this is decent for what it’s worth, providing a good amount of variety and challenge, more than you might expect for a one-button game. There’s nothing here truly groundbreaking or phenomenal, but for what it aims to be, this is not bad.
One Person Story was never a game that was going to be an especially deep gameplay experience, but for the price of a few bucks, it’s a decent time-waster with excellent music. If you’re looking for a decent way to pass the time, you could do far worse.
tl;dr – One Person Story is a Mobile-Style One-Button Arcade game where you are pressing the button to open and close doors and other objects to try to get a bouncing ball to pass safely from the bottom of the screen to the top. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but there’s enough variety here to make it a decent time-waster, and the music is actually quite good.
Grade: C+
