Review:

Marble Parkour, released on PC in 2020 and ported to Nintendo Switch in 2021, is an Arcade-style game where players are trying to guide a marble through an obstacle course to reach an exit.

The presentation in this game is not very good, using simple 3D visuals and a forgettable synthesized soundtrack that sounds like it was probably used because it was royalty-free. In fact, overall, this game has a pretty amateurishly-made feel to it, something that’s painfully obvious in the plain, boring menus.

The physics here are not especially good either, feeling light and not especially grounded in reality. However, despite this, the game still manages to be enjoyable thanks to some inventive level design, and use of interesting mechanics like antigravity, as well as power-ups. Having said that, not all of the level design here is great – the difficulty curve is all over the place, being too easy one moment and far too difficult the next.

There is one other major issue with this game – it is painfully short. With only 19 levels, this is a game that will be over soon after it starts, and while this is only a $5 game, and each level is comprised of multiple sections, it still doesn’t feel like you’re getting much value here.

Overall, despite how amateurish it all feels, Marble Parkour manages to be somewhat fun despite itself. It’s seriously lacking polish and the presentation is terrible, but there are enough fun ideas here to make for some good potential. Unfortunately, with only 19 levels, it’s hard to see this game measuring up to even its low $5 price tag.

tl;dr – Marble Parkour is an Arcade-style game where players try to guide their marble through obstacle courses to an exit. The game seems amateurishly made, and while there is some interesting level design here, the game’s short length doesn’t justify even the low $5 price tag.
