Review:

Grid Mania is a Puzzle game where you are moving various colored balls to match with the squares they’re passing over. However, these balls can’t generally be moved on their own – each move affects a whole row or column, so when you make a move you need to keep the entire board in mind. It’s a simple concept, but it can make for some difficult gameplay to wrap your head around.

For those who enjoy a good puzzle, you’ll find a lot of content here – not only does the game have 170 different levels, it also has randomly-generated levels as well.

For me personally, I have to say that the gameplay didn’t really “click”, but what really soured me on the experience was the presentation. While the game looks clean and that works well enough for the gameplay, the entire presentation feels anesthetic and cold, making the game feel a bit depressing on top of the difficult puzzles.

For those who enjoy touch puzzles, Grid Mania might suit their fancy, but for me, the difficult puzzles and the cold presentation just left me wanting.

tl;dr – Grid Mania is a puzzle game where you move rows or columns of colored balls until all of them are in their proper locations. There’s a lot of content here, but the experience is marred by the difficult challenge level and the cold, anesthetic presentation.
