Review:
Hoggy2 is a Puzzle-Platformer that’s a budget game and it feels like a budget game, with simplistic character designs, unimpressive graphics, and a name that couldn’t even be bothered to use the space bar. It’s a game that follows two pink ball-like characters collecting fruit to get keys to rescue their kidnapped kids. No, it doesn’t really make sense, but whatevs.
The gameplay here makes use of a gimmick where your character can swap gravity to move up or down, which can make for some decent puzzles in the game. However, this is all marred by the game’s biggest flaw – characters in this game move excruciatingly slow. This flaw saps much of the fun from the game, which otherwise might have been at least worth its budget asking price.
Hoggy2 isn’t devoid of some good puzzles for players to solve, but its characters’ slow movement speed makes it a game that’s hard to enjoy, even if you can look past its unimpressive exterior.
tl;dr – Hoggy2 is a Puzzle-Platformer that has you swapping gravity to solve its puzzles. Unfortunately, the slow character movement and the lacking presentation make it really difficult to enjoy this game.
