Review:
Battle & Crash is an isometric Car Combat game where players fight in an enclosed location with cars that can pick up various weapons.
This is one of those games where I had to struggle not to say anything negative in the opening paragraph. This game is very, very bad, to the point where I strain to think of any redeeming features it has.
First, the graphics are terrible – this game looks like it was cheaply put together, and even the menus seem to use generic fonts as if the game’s creators couldn’t be bothered to even give the front face of the game a decent presentation.
The game controls passable, with players simply using the stick to move in the desired direction and grabbing pickups. However, the gameplay is pretty mindless, and the enemy AI is dumb as rocks, making playing the game in single-player pointless… but the multiplayer mode adds them in too.
This game is also largely devoid of options. There are multiple game modes that the game’s main mode, Battle League, cycles through, but you’re not able to choose these options yourself in this mode. There’s also a Team Battle mode, which is that but with players sorted into two teams – here you can at least change your map and weapon loadout, but not the type of battles you’ll be in. Finally, there’s a Survival mode, which is a free-for-all brawl, with only the bonus items selectable.
If I was forced to say something nice about this game, I’d say how I could see young children having fun with the game’s multiplayer, but even then, if I was getting a young child a game, I’d want to get them one that’s actually, you know, good.
Battle & Crash is not a good game, by any measure. It’s playable, but that’s about as good as it gets here. It’s ugly, doesn’t play very well, and is lacking options. Don’t bother with this game.
tl;dr – Battle & Crash is an isometric Car Combat game that’s just terrible. Ugly graphics, mindless gameplay, bad AI, and a serious lack of options are some of the more notable flaws in a game that seems like it was amateurishly put together. Do not buy this game.
