Review:

Binaries is a puzzle-platformer where you are directed to move two balls to their respective goals at the same time using the same controls. Move the orange ball right, and the blue ball moves too, make one jump and they both jump, you get the idea.

It’s a pretty straightforward concept, and it works well enough here, thanks in part to a decent minimalist presentation, game design that streamlines things and keeps you playing, and little text comments throughout that maintain a dry sense of humor as you play.

Binaries isn’t anything truly extraordinary in any sense, but if you’re looking for a decent, minimalist puzzle-platforming game, this does that job well enough.

tl;dr – Binaries is a puzzle-platformer that has you moving two balls through a maze at the same time. It’s minimalist, streamlined, and does a competent job of what it sets out to do, even if it’s not ambitious in any way.

Grade: C+
