Review:

Snap Together + Pool Together Bundle, released on Nintendo Switch in 2023, is a Compilation of the two named games, with the former being a Puzzle game, and the latter being a simple Pool game.

I have separately reviewed both of these games. Here is what I thought of both of the games in this collection:

GameGenre# of PlayersScore
Snap TogetherPuzzle1-4 Competitive (Local Split-Screen)C-
tl;drSnap Together is a Puzzle Game where players must reassemble 3D objects by manipulating each of their pieces. This gameplay is very similar to what we saw in The Shape of Things, only with worse controls, less originality, a far worse presentation, and a higher price tag. To its credit, it does have a multiplayer mode the other game lacks, but unless that feature specifically is what interests you, you’re much better off going with The Shape of Things.
Pool TogetherSports (Poolf)1-2 Competitive (Local Alternating)C-
tl;drPool Together is a simple, bare-bones game of Pool for only $5. The laid-back, minimalist presentation is nice, and the gameplay is mostly decent, but the lack of options, including a lack of multiplayer options, as well as inconsistent physics, make it hard to recommend this game over other options on the Nintendo Switch.

In short, both of these games have their issues. Snap Together is in the shadow of the far superior The Shape of Things, which does the same sort of gameplay much better, and Pool Together is a pretty bare-bones Pool game with a few issues. I can’t exactly give either of these games a glowing recommendation.

However, what about value? Sometimes that can make up for games that are a bit lacking, right? Well, separately, these games sell for $13 (with Snap Together having a pretty bloated price given what’s on offer). And in this bundle, you can get them for… $12. Not exactly a huge savings. I suppose, if we go by sale price, this bundle goes down to the bare minimum of $2, meaning it’s half what you’d pay for the games separately when they go on sale. So I suppose if you’re getting either of these games on sale, you might as well get the bundle on sale.

Or, better idea, simply don’t get Snap Together + Pool Together Bundle at all. Neither of these games is particularly great, and both compare poorly to other alternatives on the Nintendo Switch. This bundle is an okay deal if you get it on sale, but at its normal price it’s barely a savings at all. My suggestion: skip it entirely.

tl;dr – Snap Together + Pool Together Bundle is a Compilation of the two named games, a Puzzle Game and a simple Pool game. Unfortunately, neither game is particularly worthwhile, and this bundle is not a particularly good value. You are better off spending your money elsewhere.
