Review:
Blind Postman is a character-based Puzzle game released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2021. This game has players controlling a stylized depiction of a postman in an abstract world, with players sliding across the screen until they bump into something that stops them. Knowing this, they must collect all of the letters in each level and get to the exit.
The presentation here is simple, but still a bit striking, with the entire game using minimalistic 3D with geometric shapes and a simple color scheme. Imagine something like Tron and you have a basic idea, though this is nowhere near as complex as that. These visuals are backed by a somber piano solo that I’m not quite sure if it fits this game, but it is at least somewhat memorable.
The gameplay, though? Pretty forgettable. I’ve played countless games that play exactly like this one, many of them better thought-out than this one is. If you’ve ever played Slayaway Camp, you’ve already played something like this but better.
Still, I suppose if you want something similar to that, but less violent, and that only costs $4, Blind Postman will probably suffice. This is a decent enough character-based Puzzle game. It’s just not an especially original one.
tl;dr – Blind Postman is a character-based Puzzle game that has players sliding around the game’s levels until something stops them. This style of Puzzle game is a dime a dozen, but I suppose this one plays decent enough, and the $4 price tag isn’t bad. Just don’t expect anything especially noteworthy of extraordinary about this game.
