Review:

Pure Mini Golf and Pool Puzzles Bundle, released on Nintendo Switch in 2023, is a Compilation of the two named games, with the former being a simple Mini-Golf game, and the latter being a simple Puzzle game with a Pool theme.

I have separately reviewed both of these games. Here is what I thought of both of the games in this collection:

GameGenre# of PlayersScore
Pure Mini GolfSports (Mini-Golf)1-4 Competitive (Local Alternating)B
tl;drPure Mini Golf is a simple, almost zen-like experience that takes Mini-Golf to its basics with a relaxing presentation and engaging gameplay, all for a low price of $4. I wish there were more content, and I want better control over the camera, but overall this is a delightful, relaxing game at a great price – I definitely recommend it.
Pool PuzzlesPuzzle1D-
tl;drPool Puzzles is a sliding-block Puzzle game with a Pool motif. The Puzzle gameplay is decent enough, albeit completely unoriginal. However, it’s trapped in a package that’s poorly put-together and inexplicably refuses to let players play the game in docked mode, even though the game doesn’t make any use of the touchscreen. If you’re looking for a budget Puzzle game, you have plenty of better options than this.

In short, this is a really lopsided package. On the one hand, Pure Mini Golf is a delight, a simple, relaxing game that delivers on its premise beautifully. On the other hand, Pool Puzzles is a bog-standard Puzzle game made worse by a sloppy release on Nintendo Switch that refuses to let players play in docked mode for absolutely no reason.

Okay, but perhaps this is at least a good value, then? Well, separately, these games sell for a total of $7.50, and this bundle sells for $6. That does represent some savings, but it’s not exactly a killer deal. When looking at sales, all three of these games regularly go on sale at the bare minimum price of $2, with that sale price also being what this bundle was launched at. So on the bright side, if you can catch this bundle on sale, it’ll be like buying Pure Mini Golf and getting another game tossed in for free.

That is pretty much the only situation where I would recommend buying Pure Mini Golf and Pool Puzzles Bundle. Only one of these two games is really worth getting, and the only reason I would recommend anyone to get this package is if it was on sale for $2, because then you’re not spending a penny more to get the bad game. However, if you do happen to see it on sale and don’t already have Pure Mini Golf, I would recommend this package.

tl;dr – Pure Mini Golf and Pool Puzzles Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games. Of the two, only Pure Mini Golf is worth getting, with Pool Puzzles being pretty terrible. However, if you see this bundle on sale for $2, I suppose go ahead and get it – Pure Mini Golf is definitely worth it, and you’re not paying a penny more for the extra game tossed into the mix.
