(Note: .cat and Fly Cat, included in this bundle, are also in Bundle Cats + Dog, along with .cat Milk and .Dog. Also, all of the games in this bundle are included in Cats Bundle, along with .cat Milk, Cats Puzzle, and Chubby Cat 2. Additionally, all of the games in this bundle are also included in 10 in 1 Games Bundle, along with .cat Milk, Bruxa, Cats Puzzle, Him & Her 3, Rafa’s World, and Scrap Bolts.)

Mega Bundle Cats, released on Nintendo Switch in 2022, is a Compilation containing three cat-themed games, each playing differently.

Here is what I thought of each of the games in this collection:

GameGenre# of PlayersScore
.CatPlatformer1D+
tl;dr.cat is a Platformer with some endearing pixel art visuals and absolutely terrible platforming gameplay, with bad mechanics and shoddy level design. Do not buy it.
Chubby CatArcade1D
tl;drChubby Cat is an Arcade-style game that’s clearly trying to copy the game Cut the Rope, but unfortunately the touchscreen controls are finicky and unreliable, and the gamepad controls are stiff and awkward. What’s more, the game’s physics aren’t working properly, making for inconsistent play. Top this all off with an absurd $10 price tag, and the result is a failed attempt at copying a mobile classic.
Fly CatArcade1F
tl;drFly Cat is a single button mobile-style Arcade game that’s clearly trying to copy Flappy Bird. And as terrible as Flappy Bird was, somehow Fly Cat manages to be worse, with more claustrophobic, stupidly difficult levels, yet without any significant amount of added variety. Don’t buy this game.

As you can tell, I didn’t think very highly of any of the games in this bundle. A bad Platformer, a terrible Cut the Rope clone, and an absolutely abysmal Flappy Bird clone are not a trio of games I would recommend to even the most enthusiastic of cat lovers.

Okay, but perhaps this bundle at the very least provides a good deal? Well, I suppose you could argue that with the combined prices of these games coming to a total of $24, getting this bundle at $20 would save you some money, if you really want to get this trio of terrible games. The problem with this argument is that all of the included games here are also found in both Cats Bundle and 10 in 1 Games Bundle, along with multiple additional games, and those bundles cost the same or less than this one does.

In short, Mega Bundle Cats isn’t just a bundle of three bad games, it is a bundle of three bad games at a bad price. Under no circumstances should you get this bundle. If you really want the terrible games included here, just get Cats Bundle or 10 in 1 Games Bundle instead. The games will be just as terrible, but at least you’ll get more of them, without spending a penny more.

tl;dr – Mega Bundle Cats includes .cat, Chubby Cat, and Fly Cat, three simple games that are all terrible, and yet this bundle makes things worse by being a terrible deal – if you’re committed to getting these awful games, there are multiple other bundles that cost the same or even less that include all three, as well as other games. As such, there is absolutely no reason you should touch this terrible package.
