Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Bundle, released on Nintendo Switch in 2022, is a Compilation containing a pair of RPGs set many years before any of the Star Wars films.

I have separately reviewed these games. Here is what I thought of both of the games in this collection:

GameGenre# of PlayersScore
Star Wars: Knights of the Old RepublicRPG1B
tl;drStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a solid port of the classic RPG. Both the graphics and the gameplay have aged poorly in some areas, but much of what made this game great nearly two decades ago still remains intact. While it’s far from perfect, this is still a superb RPG and a great exploration of the Star Wars universe.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith LordsRPG1B-
tl;drStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II is a decent port of the classic RPG. Both the graphics and the gameplay have aged poorly in some areas, but much of what made this game great nearly two decades ago still remains intact. This game isn’t quite as good as its predecessor, but it’s a solid follow-up, and one that fans of the first game should definitely play too.

In short, these are both solid RPGs, with the first game being particularly good. These games have both aged somewhat, but they are still must-play games for Star Wars and Western-style RPG fans.

And with that, I have to talk about value, and simply put, this bundle’s standard $30 price does not save players a single cent over buying the games separately. In fact, its price technically costs a penny more than buying the games separately. At the very least you’ll be saving a few bucks over the separate games if you get this bundle on sale, but it’s disappointing that players weren’t given more of a good reason to get this bundle rather than just buying the games on their own.

So when it comes down to it, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Bundle is a solid pair of games, in a bundle that isn’t exactly a great deal. If you know you’re looking to get both of these games on Nintendo Switch and can wait for a sale, this bundle is technically the best way to go, but only by a few bucks. At any other time, you might as well just get the games on their own.

tl;dr – Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Bundle includes the highly-lauded (but somewhat dated) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. These two RPGs are great, but the bundle they’re in isn’t a very good savings. You’ll definitely want to compare them against the price of the individual games before buying.
