Review:

Dadish Collection, released on Nintendo Switch in 2024, is a Compilation containing a the original trilogy of games in the Dadish series of Platformers.

I have separately reviewed these games. Here is what I thought of all of the games in this collection:

GameGenre# of PlayersScore
DadishPlatformer1C+
tl;drDadish is a family-friendly Platformer about a dad radish on a journey to collect his errant kids. It has an adorable, colorful presentation, but everything else about the game is fairly by-the-book. Not bad, but there’s very little here to set it apart.
Dadish 2Platformer1C+
tl;drDadish 2, like the first game, is a family-friendly Platformer about a dad radish on a journey to collect his errant kids. It continues to have an adorable, colorful presentation, but everything else about the game is still fairly by-the-book. Not bad, but there’s still very little here to set it apart.
Dadish 3Platformer1C+
tl;drDadish 3, like the first two games, is a Platformer about a dad radish on a journey to collect his errant kids. It continues to have an adorable, colorful presentation, but everything else about the game is still fairly by-the-book, and even at times a bit overly-difficult. Not bad, but there’s still very little here to set it apart.

In short, all three of these games are decent Platformers with an obstacle course-style level design and an adorable presentation, but they’re also nothing truly extraordinary. They’re fine, better than average, but still nothing special.

However, whether or not the games are special is only part of the question here. The other part is, is the value special? Is this bundle a good “bang for your buck”? And to this I say… yes and no. On the one hand, this bundle’s price of $15 pretty much cuts in half the cost of getting all three games at their standard price. On the other hand, these games regularly go on sale for $2 each, and as of this writing this bundle has not yet gone on sale at all. So even though the savings over the normal price here is excellent… you can easily get all three games in this Compilation for less than half of the cost of this bundle.

I should also note that this Compilation is not a comprehensive collection of the entire Dadish series – it lacks Daily Dadish and Dadish 3D, but it is nevertheless a good way to get started with the Dadish series, if you are so inclined, apart from the issues of price.

Ultimately, that’s what Dadish Collection comes down to. The three games included here are fine, but not great, and the value this bundle provides isn’t exactly spectacular either. I don’t think these are must-have games, but if you do want them, I think your best bet is to wait for a sale and get them separately, not get this bundle.

tl;dr – Dadish Collection is a Compilation of the original trilogy of Platformers, all decent but unspectacular games. Unfortunately the value this bundle adds is a bit iffy too, as you can easily snag all three games on sale for a sum total that’s less than half the cost of this package. If you’re going to get these games, do that instead.
