Review:

Castle of Heart + Jet Kave Adventure Bundle, released on Nintendo Switch in 2023, is a Compilation containing the two named games, released separately on Nintendo Switch in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

I have separately reviewed these games. Here is what I thought of each of the games in this collection:

tl;dr Castle of Heart is an Action-Platformer where players take the role of a knight seeking vengeance on the wizard who turned him to stone. This game’s presentation is decent, but neither the platforming or combat are enjoyable, resulting in a game that is just a tedious slog to play.
Jet Kave Adventure	Platformer	1	B
tl;dr Jet Kave Adventure is a Platformer that has players taking the role of a caveman with a jet pack. Beautiful visuals, great level design, and solid Platforming all make this a superb entry in the genre, though I wish the framerates were better and I could do without the hang gliding levels. Despite those issues, I do recommend this game to Platforming fans – it’s a pretty good take on the genre.

Yeah, this is one of those bundles where I feel like one half of the bundle is definitely better than the other. And to make things more unusual, Jet Kave Adventure is a relatively family-friendly title, while Castle of Heart… well, isn’t. As such, I don’t really think that this makes for a good pairing, even if both games are Platformers.

Still, maybe the pricing can save this bundle? Well, not at the standard price, I’m sorry to say. At $30, this will only save you $5 off the cost of buying the two games separately, and $10 more than buying Jet Kave Adventure on its own, which is definitely the more preferable option. However, if we look at sale prices, it makes for a different story, with this bundle dropping regularly to $3 and even going as low as the rock-bottom $2, and at that price it’s like buying Jet Kave Adventure on its own and getting a free copy of Castle of Heart. And at that price, well, why not?

Still, that’s a specific situation. Most of the time, I think Castle of Heart + Jet Kave Adventure Bundle is simply just not worth getting, since half of this bundle is just not at all good. However, if you’re considering getting Jet Kave Adventure on sale, it just might be worth it to pick this up instead and get Castle of Heart thrown into the mix as well, since it’ll only set you back at most $1. Is Castle of Heart worth $1, though? Hm… well, that’s a tough call…

tl;dr – Castle of Heart + Jet Kave Adventure Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games, each a different type of Platformer. However, of the two only Jet Kave Adventure is really worth bothering with. To its credit, when this bundle goes on sale it may be worth picking up despite this, since it won’t cost much more than Jet Kave Adventure on its own, possibly even the same price. However, I definitely don’t recommend you to get this at full price.
