The Bovke Protective Clear Case is a dockable Case for Nintendo Switch 2. It is purportedly made from polycarbonate and TPU, is translucent, and the part designed to cover the main body of the console feels like firm plastic, while separate covers for each of the Joy-Con 2 controllers feel more rubbery and flexible.

The case fits the Nintendo Switch 2 quite snugly, and it doesn’t block any of the ports or features of the Nintendo Switch 2. Unlike many other dockable cases, this one doesn’t cover the power or volume buttons either – there’s a hole in the case and those buttons are fully accessible.

Speaking of fully-accessible, this is the only case I’ve reviewed thus far that hasn’t covered up the Nintendo Switch 2’s kickstand – it is still fully-accessible, as is the MicroSD Express port underneath it. This is such an elegant solution it’s kinda’ baffling that more case manufacturers don’t do this.

When it comes to the Joy-Con 2 controllers, here’s where this case starts to run into trouble. This case uses separate covers for these controllers, leaving them free to disconnect from the hybrid console without removing the case.
Unfortunately, the Joy-Con 2 covers are difficult to get on and off, and they effectively make all of the face buttons recessed, making them harder to press. They have a nice rubbery feel that could probably absorb some of an impact, but I wouldn’t ever want to play with these things on.
As for the main unit, I can’t really judge how well this case will protect the Nintendo Switch 2, but I could not stop thinking about how this thing felt flimsy and brittle the entire time I was holding it. I simply cannot imagine that it provides much protection.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, while this case is technically dockable, it makes the Nintendo Switch 2 difficult to get in and out of the dock – I almost had to pry it loose!
While there are a few things that I do think the Bovke Protective Clear Case gets right, overall this thing is terrible and I cannot see any reason anyone would want to use it. It doesn’t seem like it adds that much protection to the Nintendo Switch 2, it makes the thing more difficult to dock, it makes the buttons on the Joy-Con 2 controllers harder to press, and just overall it seems pointless. Don’t spend money on this.
tl;dr – The Bovke Protective Clear Case is a dockable case for Nintendo Switch 2 that has slots for the Nintendo Switch 2 kickstand, and its power and volume buttons, and detachable covers for the Joy-Con 2 controllers. Unfortunately, this case doesn’t seem like it will add much protection, and it causes multiple problems. I don’t see any reason anyone would want to use it, and I do not at all recommend buying it.
