The Mumba Clear Case is a dockable Case for Nintendo Switch 2. This case is purportedly made from TPU and polycarbonate, is translucent and feels rubbery, with flexible flaps on either side to encase the Joy-Con 2 controllers. To remove the Joy-Cons, these flaps are pulled backwards rather than separating from the main unit, keeping it all in one piece. The case has holes in the top and bottom for the various plugs and openings on the Nintendo Switch 2 itself, and buttons built into the case to fit over the power and volume buttons on the Nintendo Switch 2.

The case fits the Nintendo Switch 2 quite snugly, and for the most part it doesn’t block any of the ports or features of the Nintendo Switch 2, save for one – the kickstand. Not only does this case not allow the Nintendo Switch 2 kickstand to pass through, it doesn’t have its own kickstand either, which is disappointing. For that matter, the MicroSD Express card port under the kickstand is also blocked. The case does technically cover the power and volume buttons too, but it places cover buttons over it that work okay, and these buttons still feel pretty responsive.

I can’t really judge how well this case will protect the Nintendo Switch 2, but I would hope that the gel design around the Joy-Con 2 controllers will help absorb impacts, and the rest of the case seems sturdy enough, if a bit flimsy. And unlike some other cases I’ve tried, this case is actually surprisingly comfortable in my hands, making it an improvement over the form factor of the Nintendo Switch on its own, though only slightly.

As advertised, the case is dockable, and this feature works great, with no issues. On the other hand, moving back the flaps on either side to remove the Joy-Con 2 controllers requires you to kinda’ pry them off, which is less than ideal.

Overall, the Mumba Clear Case is a decent case for the Nintendo Switch 2, but it has numerous issues that make it far from ideal – the lack of access to the kickstand and MicroSD Express card port and the way you need to pry off the sides of the case to free the Joy-Con 2 controllers both make this a case that leaves something to be desired, though overall this is a pretty decent case.

tl;dr – Mumba Clear Case is a dockable case for Nintendo Switch 2 that works as advertised, docks well, and is surprisingly comfortable. That said, it makes the kickstand inaccessible, and makes it difficult to remove the Joy-Con 2 controller. This is still mostly a decent case, but it’s far from ideal.
