The Mumba Mini Carrying Bag, elsewhere referred to as the Mumba Carrying Case (Slim Version), is a smaller-sized carrying case for the Nintendo Switch 2. And contrary to one of this case’s name, it is not what I would call a “bag” – it’s better than that.

The material being used here is described as an EVA hard shell with a velvet interior. The exterior feels like a stiff and very slightly-rubbery plastic, while the inside does indeed seem to be a nice soft velvet. While there is a little give to it in the center (I would worry if someone sat on it), it does overall feel pretty firm and protective. The material of the case doesn’t seem like it’ll protect the Nintendo Switch 2 from a serious blow, I think that as long as the case isn’t subjected to particularly harsh abuse, it should be sufficient enough to protect your Nintendo Switch 2 from being jostled around inside a backpack or purse.

The exterior has a simple hand strap, while the inside contains a firm fabric flap with twelve slots for game cartridges. Both the front and the back of the case have bumps on the back to contain the extended ZL and ZR buttons of the expanded Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons on the back.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is pretty snug inside the case (but not overly so), and there doesn’t seem any wasted space here. And… really, that’s about all there is to say here.

Simply put, this is just about as small and slim as you’re likely to find a carrying case for Nintendo Switch 2 that provides any sort of protection at all. Honestly, I don’t have much in the way of complaints about this case. While I don’t think it does anything extraordinary, what it sets out to do it does very well. If you’re looking for a smaller case for your Nintendo Switch 2, with no extra frills or features, this seems like a solid pick.

tl;dr – Mumba Mini Carrying Bag, or as it’s more accurately called the Mumba Carrying Case (Slim Version) is a small-size storage case for Nintendo Switch 2 that’s just big enough to carry your Nintendo Switch 2 and 12 game cartridges and provide a moderate level of protection, and that’s about it. There are no frills or fancy features here, but for those who want a smaller case, it’s hard to find any complaints about this one.
