In my reviews of many dockable cases for Nintendo Switch 2, one consistent complaint I’ve had with most is that they cover up the Nintendo Switch 2’s kickstand, removing a feature from the device. Indeed, Mumba’s own Blade Series Case has exactly this issue, and it seems like Mumba anticipated this being a frustration for potential buyers. Apparently in answer to this expected complaint, they have created the Mumba Titan Dockable, a dockable Case for Nintendo Switch 2 that is in many ways similar to the Blade Series Case, but with a way to stand up your Nintendo Switch 2 and play in tabletop mode.
The Mumba Titan Dockable is purportedly made from TPU and feels like firm plastic, with flaps on either side to encase the Joy-Con 2 controllers that are connected via a hinge. To remove the Joy-Cons, these flaps are pulled backwards rather than separating from the main unit, keeping it all in one piece. The case has holes in the top and bottom for the various plugs and openings on the Nintendo Switch 2 itself, and buttons built into the case to fit over the power and volume buttons on the Nintendo Switch 2.

The case fits the Nintendo Switch 2 quite snugly, and for the most part it doesn’t block any of the ports or features of the Nintendo Switch 2. The case does technically cover the power and volume buttons, but it places cover buttons over it that work okay, though they take a bit more effort to press.
I can’t really judge how well this case will protect the Nintendo Switch 2, but I suppose it seems somewhat sturdy so hopefully that’s a good sign. Unfortunately, this case’s angular design makes it a bit uncomfortable to hold in the hands, which is disappointing.
And as mentioned, you can hinge back the flaps on either side to remove the Joy-Con 2 controllers, but doing so requires you to “snap” them off of the sides of the Joy-Con 2 controllers first, which requires a bit of effort.

Now to get to this case’s relatively unique feature, the kickstand flap. on its back. As with Mumba’s other case, this case covers the Nintendo Switch 2 kickstand, not only making that kickstand unusable, but making the MicroSD Express card slot inaccessible. While this case doesn’t resolve the MicroSD card issue, this flap is the answer to the first issue, and at least in this respect, it works quite well.

Like the Nintendo Switch 2’s built-in kickstand, the back flap on the Mumba Titan Dockable is fully-adjustable, and does a good job staying in whichever position you set it to, or it can be folded to rest against the back of the case when not in use. What’s more, underneath this flap there are slots to store 5 Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 game cartridges, as well as 2 MicroSD or MicroSD Express cards, which stay snug in the case but aren’t terribly difficult to remove. When it comes to all of this stuff, it works great.
Unfortunately, the problem is that this flap messes up some other stuff. This flap sticks out of the back of the case, making the case bulkier, which means it will take up more space in your backpack or purse while storing it. It can’t be flipped around to the front to protect the screen either, which is a bit of a missed opportunity. What’s more, when playing in handheld mode, this flap gets in the way, keeping you from comfortably resting your fingers on the back of the case unless you open it up partway, and while this works, it’s an odd and awkward way to play the Nintendo Switch 2.
And speaking of odd and awkward…

The added bulk of this flap makes the Mumba Titan Dockable too fat to fit inside the Nintendo Switch 2 dock. You can flip up the flap to dock it, and this works pretty well, but… well, just look at it. It looks ridiculous. It’s cumbersome, and it’s only natural for someone pulling it out of the dock to grab it by that flap, and I can only imagine that will lead to it breaking off.
Overall, I think the Mumba Titan Dockable does some things right, and has some interesting ideas, but it also has some pretty irritating problems, and the kickstand flap causes as many issues as it resolves. I can see some players finding a use for this Case, but I have to think there’s got to be a better way to make a dockable case that doesn’t remove kickstand functionality from the Nintendo Switch 2.
tl;dr – The Mumba Titan Dockable is a dockable case for Nintendo Switch 2 that tries to replace the Nintendo Switch 2’s kickstand that it covers with its own kickstand flap. It’s a clever solution, but one that creates as many problems as it solves. The result is a case that’s interesting, but not one I’d be likely to recommend.
