The Nintendo Switch 2 Difference

Review:
When I originally reviewed Eggy Party, I said that this Fall Guys copycat has potential, but suffered tremendously from its biggest issue, absolutely massive performance issues that drastically affected the gameplay, and even though that underlying gameplay was good, these issues really hurt the game.
With this being the case, I thought that surely this game would be a great choice for one of my regular “Nintendo Switch 2 Difference” articles. After all, why not see if a more powerful console can handle this game better? I’ll get to the Nintendo Switch 2 gameplay farther down, but first I decided to try the game out on Nintendo Switch again. After all, it’s been a while since I wrote the original review, and the game has been updated since. Perhaps the game plays better now?
As it happens, the changes to the game have been so drastic that I felt I needed to write a re-review. Unfortunately, I’m not reporting that the problems with this game have been fixed. Rather, they have gotten far, far worse.
What was previously occasional framerate issues, freezing, and input lag is now a constant state of the game chugging, freezing and unfreezing every few seconds. This is virtually unplayable.
What’s more, even logging into the game now is a gargantuan effort as you have to attempt logging in multiple times for the game to finally succeed at getting your account recognized and game loaded, and at least a few times the game crashed on me outright. Once inside the game, it tried to send me to a tutorial, but refused to let me interact with the menus it demanded I choose, forcing me to reset again.
This. Sucks.
I could post the text of my original review below, but it hardly matters, because playing this game is straight-up torture, and I do not recommend it. Even though this game is free, do not download it, this is a buggy mess that’s seemingly designed to torture players. Do not let this game get egg on your face.
tl;dr – Eggy Party is a free-to-play, online-only, multiplayer-focused Arcade-style 3D Platformer that is clearly trying to copy the Fall Guys formula. Unfortunately, while this game’s performance was always horrible, in the time since my original review it has become outright unplayable. Do not waste time downloading this absolute disaster of a game.

Review:
You can see in my review above that I found Eggy Party to be an even bigger disaster on Nintendo Switch now in 2025 than I did when I first reviewed it. It’s a buggy, unstable mess, and one that is virtually unplayable. But hopefully, the Nintendo Switch 2 can fix that, right?
Wrong.
Eggy Party isn’t just virtually unplayable on Nintendo Switch 2, it is literally unplayable. In addition to the difficulties I had in the Nintendo Switch version of the game just getting the game to sign in with my account, Eggy Party crashed out of the game each and every time I tried to start it up, not even letting me get into the game’s lobby. I tried this about a half-dozen times before I threw my hands up into the air and gave up.
It’s worth noting that Eggy Party is listed as one of the games Nintendo claims had issues on the Nintendo Switch 2 that were resolved in an update. I have to say, if this is what “resolved” looks like, then I can only assume that this game must have caused Nintendo Switch 2 consoles to explode before the update was applied.
What a complete disaster. Don’t waste your time on this.
tl;dr – Eggy Party is a free-to-play game that is not only a buggy, nearly-unplayable disaster on Nintendo Switch, but it consistently crashes when trying to load up the game on Nintendo Switch 2, making it literally unplayable. Take my advice and stay far away from this utter disaster.
