The Hosanwell Switch 2 Wall Mount is, as the name indicates, a Wall Mount designed to let users mount their Nintendo Switch 2 Dock on a wall, ideally saving space while keeping the Nintendo Switch 2 secured. This particular mount also has 4 built-in Joy-Con 2 Controller chargers as well. Let’s take a look!

The mount comes in two pieces to make it easier to mount on the wall. This means you could in theory use the Joy-Con 2 charger part separately, but this would introduce a few problems – the included USB to USB-C cable is very short and only meant to attach to Nintendo’s Switch 2 dock, and if the wall mount didn’t have the charger in front there would be nothing to stop the Nintendo Switch 2 Dock from falling out of the front of the unit.

A few things worth pointing out about the mount itself though. There are wide slots in the bottom to allow for air flow of the Nintendo Switch 2 Dock, and there are also five places to screw in the back, meaning this should be pretty firmly attached once you do. However, the unit is plastic and not metal, unlike other Nintendo Switch 2 wall mounts, and the lack of air holes in the back make me wonder if this might contribute to overheating since it will cover the Nintendo Switch 2 Dock’s air intake on the back. I don’t know whether this is a problem or not, it’s the sort of thing only use over a long period of time would be able to tell.

Once it’s all connected, you’re meant to plug the unit into one of the Nintendo Switch 2’s USB ports via the included cable. This gives the unit the power to charge the Joy-Con 2 controllers, as well as lighting it up. For those who don’t want the bright lights, there’s a button in center to shut off the light. The Nintendo Switch 2 dock is actually nestled pretty firmly between the front and back parts, with components on either side keeping it in place too, so I don’t think it’ll be slipping around at all.

You can see the unit has alternating red and blue slots to indicate which Joy-Con 2 controller goes where, and just in case there are also plus and minus signs as well. These glow green when nothing is plugged in, and orange when something is plugged in. I should note that this charger will not sync Joy-Con 2 Controllers to your Nintendo Switch 2 – you’ll need to handle that via another means like plugging them directly into your Nintendo Switch 2’s sides. Additionally, there are four slots for holding a few games (these work with Nintendo Switch games and Nintendo Switch 2 games – they’re the same size).

So, going over my main complaints, I’m a little concerned about blocking up the back vent of the Nintendo Switch 2 dock, I’m disappointed that the charger won’t sync the Joy-Con 2 controllers, and I didn’t mention, but the charger component sticks out the front quite a bit, so this might not be the best solution for you if it’s going to be in a narrow space.

However, overall I think the Hosanwell Switch 2 Wall Mount is mostly a decent dock/charger combo. It is certainly not without its flaws, but as long as you go into this knowing what those flaws are, I think you’ll be happy with this mount. Just be careful not to have your expectations too high with this one.

tl;dr – The Hosanwell Switch 2 Wall Mount is a Wall Mount for the Nintendo Switch 2 Dock with a built-in Joy-Con 2 charger for four Joy-Con 2 controllers. Overall this is a decent wall mount/charger combo, but it’s not without its problems – it blocks the Nintendo Switch 2 dock’s rear air intake, it doesn’t sync Joy-Cons while charging, and it juts out from the wall quite a bit. As long as those things don’t concern you too much, I think you’ll be happy with this.

Grade: C+
