Review:
Draw Shooter is a physics-based Arcade-style game released on Nintendo Switch in 2025. In this game, players must knock down people standing, walking, or jumping up and down on islands by drawing shapes in the foreground using either standard gamepad controls or the touchscreen in handheld mode. These shapes are then shot at the islands, like trying to knock down someone standing on an inner-tube in a pool by throwing a heavy pool noodle at them, I guess.
The presentation here is really underwhelming. The game uses simple 3D visuals that are not at all interesting to look at, backed by irritating and extremely repetitive music. The whole thing seems really amateurish.
Sadly, the gameplay isn’t much better. The game is always played from a static angle, which gives a poor sense of depth and scale, making it uncertain whenever you want to try and judge the height that your drawing will be projected toward your targets. Despite this, the game remains mindlessly easy, with little variety in the way of the sorts of challenges you face, apart from occasional levels where objects partly obstruct your shots. The game tries to add difficulty by limiting the size of the object you can draw, but this just limits your creativity, especially since you can just draw multiple objects instead.
Even at $2, I wouldn’t recommend Draw Shooter. Its core gameplay isn’t well-implemented into the game, it’s repetitive, bland-looking, and far too easy. Skip this one.
tl;dr – Draw Shooter is an Arcade-style game that has you drawing shapes that shoot out toward people standing on islands, with your goal being to knock them off. This game looks and sounds ugly, it’s repetitive, it’s shallow, and it is far too easy. Don’t buy this one.
