The Genki Sleeper Case Case is a mid-sized carrying case for the Nintendo Switch 2, big enough to hold the console and 18 games, but not any accessories. Despite the lack of storage I still consider this a mid-size case because its fabric-covered shell still has a bit of space inside it that makes this take up more space than a simple sleeve case would. However, it’s on the smaller side of mid-size cases, if that makes sense, though you’re sacrificing some storage for this slightly slimmer case.

The fabric exterior is wool and looks pretty classy, like something that belongs in a larger purse or passenger bag. There’s a single elastic strap on one side, but otherwise there’s no handle.

Along with this classy design is a small recessed zipper to get to the inside of the case, and while this looks nice, I actually think this is one of the worst parts of this case, as the zipper handle isn’t comfortable to grasp, and it gets stuck too easily. This definitely comes across as a choice made for aesthetic more than function.

And despite the soft exterior, the case is pretty firm and should be able to take a decent impact, though of course I wouldn’t want to deliberately drop it or try to damage it with an expensive Nintendo Switch 2 inside.

Meanwhile, the inside contains a firm fabric flap with eighteen slots for game cartridges, and underneath there’s a spot for the hold the Nintendo Switch 2, but nothing to hold it in place. Thankfully, while there’s a little jostle when the case is closed with a Nintendo Switch 2 inside, it’s not too much and the flap should protect the screen from all but severe impacts.

There is one other major issue I need to address here – at $43, this is pretty pricey for this sort of case – significantly more expensive than the ProCase Slim Soft Carrying Case and over twice the price of the Mumba Mini Carrying Bag, which are similar in terms of features and quality, even if they don’t present themselves as something quite so “premium” as Genki’s case does.

With this being the case, I just cannot recommend the Genki Sleeper Case. The terrible zipper is bad enough, but the bloated price tag when there are other comparable cases that cost far less make this a non-starter in my opinion, no matter how nice it might seem from the outside.

tl;dr – The Genki Sleeper Case is a mid-size storage case for Nintendo Switch 2 that’s just big enough to carry your Nintendo Switch 2 and 18 game cartridges. While it’s mostly a decent case, it has a terrible recessed zipper, and an absurd price tag that’s twice as much as other comparable cases. As a result, I can’t recommend this.
