The Fanpl Slim Travel Case is a small-sized carrying case for the Nintendo Switch 2, designed only to hold and protect the Nintendo Switch 2 (and an attached pair of Joy-Con 2 controllers) during transport, without any extra pockets or places to store things.

That doesn’t leave much room to talk about it, but let’s see what we can do, shall we?

The Amazon page claims this case is made with a “durable ballistic leather” exterior with a microfiber interior. From what I can tell, the leather appears to be a synthetic leather material, which still feels nice but certainly doesn’t have the same feel as authentic leather. Meanwhile, the interior feels surprisingly soft and thick, which is sure to help protect the Nintendo Switch 2’s screen from light bumps and scratches. However, don’t expect this case to provide stronger protection from harder impacts. This is all sealed with a pair of zippers, with an additional nylon hand strap.

I like that this is a fairly small case, but it feels pretty premium. I definitely feel like I could bring this with me or keep in a bigger canvas bag without worrying about the Nintendo Switch 2’s screen getting scratched. However, I do think the generous padding of this carrying case makes it bulkier than it needs to be, and the lack of even a small pocket for carrying accessories is disappointing, especially with this extra bulk.

Oh, also as a small note, my case came with a page of cute stickers, which is nice.

Still, while there are places I think this could do with improvement, overall I think the Fanpl Slim Travel Case is an excellent smaller carrying case, and well worth the $18 price it’s selling for. This is not a case to get if you’re looking for a bunch of storage or strong protection, but if you want something to keep your Nintendo Switch 2 safe while bringing it around and don’t need anything else, I think you’ll be satisfied with this.

tl;dr – The Fanpl Slim Travel Case is a small-size storage case for Nintendo Switch 2 that is enough to keep your console safe, but without room for anything else. The materials used here seem fairly high-quality, and this mostly does a good job with what it’s aiming to accomplish, though the thick padding makes this a bit bigger than one may be looking for in a slim case. Still, as slim cases go, this one is hard to beat.
