This may well be the silliest game accessory I have ever acquired. I mean, just look at it. Look at it! It’s basically a set of brass knuckles for your Joy-Con 2 controllers. Well, except it’s made out of plastic, not brass, and if you try to get into a real fight with these you probably deserve the trip to the hospital you’ll be getting.
The Fundiary Fitness Boxing Hand Grips are very clearly a novelty, something that’s niche within niche within niche. To even get use out of these, you need to have a Nintendo Switch 2, and then be playing one of the select few games that has you holding the Joy-Cons in the upright position exclusively, but that also doesn’t require the use of the SL and SR buttons or the mouse sensor, which these accessories cover up.
So… is there even a point to these?

These hand grips are identical and fit both Joy-Con 2 controllers, depending on how they’re oriented, and have no moving pieces – the Joy-Con 2 controllers clip into them, and are held in place by those small plastic clips, rather than doing anything with the magnets in the controllers.
This makes them simple, but it also makes them frustrating to detach, requiring a bit of force and actually worrying me that I might damage the controllers. Definitely not ideal.

When it comes to games these grips might be used with, there are of course the Fitness Boxing games referenced in the grips’ name, but also games like ARMS and Nintendo Switch Sports. So the number of games you might use these grips with is indeed limited, it’s not quite as limited as you might think. Still, we are talking about an absolutely miniscule portion of the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2’s game library.

And, surprisingly, these grips are actually comfortable to hold, and more so than the Joy-Con 2 controllers on their own. To be fair, I would say they’re only marginally more comfortable, but it is an improvement.
Having said that… at $13, I would hope for something more than two pieces of plastic that I’m worried might damage my controllers and that can only realistically be used with a handful of games, and even then it’s not like they make for a massive improvement.
Make no mistake, the Fundiary Fitness Boxing Hand Grips are absolutely a novelty. And while they’re not useless, their use is so limited that if you get them you’re getting them specifically for the novelty. If you’re okay with that, then I think you’ll at least be amused by these grips.
tl;dr – The Fundiary Fitness Boxing Hand Grips are a pair of Grips for your Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons that make them more comfortable to hold in an upright position for games like Fitness Boxing, ARMS, and Nintendo Switch Sports. While they do make the Joy-Con 2 controllers marginally more comfortable to hold, they are largely a novelty, and more amusing and interesting than they are practical and useful. If they still strike your fancy though, don’t let me stop you.
