Sometimes I get a product for review that simply doesn’t work, and I’m not going to waste your time by beating around the bush here – the Machenike G3V2 Bluetooth Controller is indeed such a product. The controller promises numerous features, but I won’t go into any of that, because I wasn’t able to test this controller at all.

The problem I ran into is that this controller cannot hold a charge. I tried charging it through the Nintendo Switch dock, through a direct plug-in to the wall, I tried charging it using its charging cradle, I tried charging it directly with a USB-C cable. In all cases, the moment it was removed from power, it instantly died.

What’s more, even when I kept it hard-wired into a power source, the moment I synced it to my Nintendo Switch, the system froze, meaning I couldn’t even use this controller while tethered to a power source.

Maybe I got a faulty version of an otherwise great controller, but if there’s a chance you could be getting a controller this broken when you buy it, that’s a chance I strongly recommend you do not take. Do not waste money on this controller.

tl;dr – The Machenike G3V2 Bluetooth Controller is a Pro-style controller for Nintendo Switch that, when I tried to use it, simply would not work. It doesn’t hold a charge, and even when connected to power it froze my Nintendo Switch when I tried to sync it. Do not waste your money on this.
