Not every carrying case fits everyone’s lifestyle. Since the release of the Nintendo Switch 2, I’ve reviewed carrying cases that are as slim as possible to take up minimal space, but also providing minimal protection. I’ve also seen massive cases built like a tank, but about the same size and weight of a tank too.

The PGmoon Sling Crossbody Bag is something of a mid-point between those two extremes, neither offering the minimal size of the former nor the great protection of the latter, it still presents a good option for those wanting something wearable rather than something they’ll have to lug around with them.

The PGmoon Sling Crossbody Bag is designed to be worn over one shoulder diagonally, although it does also have a neon orange nylon handle for carrying. This, along with braided nylon orange zipper straps provides added visibility when wearing this bag at night.

The exterior of the bag itself is comprised largely of faux leather and braided nylon, with a padded mesh backing to make it more comfortable and “breathable” when wearing it, with an adjustable nylon strap for wearing. In the time I tested it, this bag was fairly comfortable and I have no complaints regarding this.

The case has three compartments – a double-zippered main compartment, a double-zippered secondary compartment, and a single-zippered pocket compartment.

The main compartment is separated into three sections. Closest to the back is a padded compartment large enough to hold a Nintendo Switch 2 with room to spare, enclosed by an orange braided nylon and velcro strap. Due to the excess space, a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 held in this compartment may jostle around a bit, but not enough to expose the screen, and I think that with the padding in this compartment, unless you’re tossing your bag around you’ll probably be fine here.

The second section in this compartment is also big enough to contain a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2, though since there’s nothing to hold it in place this will leave it free to jostle around and, depending on which way you have it facing and what else is in this pocket, it may not be well-protected, so be careful if you do this.

More likely, you’ll want to store accessories here. I found there was plenty enough room to store a Pro Controller and a pair of Joy-Cons in a Joy-Con holder, with plenty of room to spare. I expect a Nintendo Switch Dock or Nintendo Switch 2 Dock would also fit quite well in here.

Finally, this compartment also contains a mesh pocket for holding more accessories, most likely things like cables or an AC adapter.

The middle compartment has two additional mesh pockets on one side, and the main section of this bag is big and deep enough to hold yet an another Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2, though I will once again caution that this section is relatively poorly-protected so that may be unwise. This pocket also contains a passthrough port for a cable, if you wanted to keep a phone or music player in here and pass through headphones to listen to music while walking around. There are also nylon pockets here to store up to six Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 game cartridges.

Finally, the smallest pocket is still quite large, and should provide plenty of extra room for accessories.

Okay, so when all’s said, what do I think of the PGmoon Sling Crossbody Bag? This is pretty good for what it aims to do, though again I don’t think it’s going to be what everyone is looking for. There’s lots of storage here, you could theoretically use it to carry around three Nintendo Switch 2 systems (though I don’t recommend that), along with plenty of smaller mesh pockets for smaller items. This plus its reasonable $32 price makes it an attractive way to carry around your Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, or other portable gaming device.

On the other hand, this isn’t going to provide the absolute best protection for your device(s), and you’ll want to be careful not to toss around this bag or have anything collide with it too hard, or I don’t think it’ll be able to protect the expensive devices contained within it.

As long as you bear this warning in mind, I think you’ll find the PGmoon Sling Crossbody Bag to be a good choice when you’re looking for options to carry around your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2.

tl;dr – The PGmoon Sling Crossbody Bag is a wearable carrying case for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 that offers an abundance of space to carry your hybrid consoles and accessories, but seems like it could stand to be better-protected so your expensive equipment isn’t quite as much at risk of being damaged. Still, for what it is, this is a solid case that should satisfy those looking for a case in this style.
