Here’s the games I have reviewed so far on the Nintendo Switch 2 in this genre, from best to worst. Note: If multiple games have the same score, they will be sorted alphabetically.

Puzzle Games

tl;dr Big Walk is a family-friendly online-only multiplayer-focused Open-World First-Person Puzzle game that has up to twelve players exploring a massive island, solving co-op puzzles together, and trying to communicate as they work on goals throughout the game. This is a true delight of a co-op experience that perfectly blends the cooperation, exploration, and puzzle-solving, with a focus on effectively communicating with other players. You need to have friends to join you online to play this game, but if you can grab one or two or ten friends to hop into this game with you, I wholeheartedly recommend it – this game is an absolute delight.
Meccha Chameleon	Stealth / Puzzle / First-Person Shooter / Misc.	A-
tl;dr Meccha Chameleon is an online multiplayer-focused game that blends hide-and-seek with painting yourself to self-camouflage, with players taking roles as either “chameleons” or “hunters” trying to outsmart each other. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game wisely supports dynamic Mouse Mode, Nintendo Switch 2’s microphone, and cross-platform play, but still suffers a bit in performance and especially with its clunky controls, as well as a lack of the PC version’s mods. Despite these flaws, this is still an absolute joy to play, and while the PC version is definitely preferable, if you only game on console, this is an easy $5 purchase to recommend. No matter what way you play this game, you should absolutely play this game.
Lorelei and the Laser Eyes – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition	Graphic Adventure / Puzzle	B
tl;dr Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is a Graphic Adventure game with an extremely strong focus on its Puzzle gameplay, with some really excellent puzzle design that will thrill seasoned puzzle-solvers looking for something challenging and original, but that might cause more casual puzzlers to balk. Add to this an absolutely amazing visual presentation and less-than-amazing controls, and you have something of a mixed bag that some players will absolutely love while others will hate it. Still, I do think the positives outweigh the negatives here, and the game’s target audience will likely be truly delighted with this game.
Blue Prince	First-Person Puzzle / Roguelike	B-
tl;dr Blue Prince is a First-Person Puzzle game with Roguelike elements that has players exploring a mansion by spawning a selection of randomized rooms and trying not to block off their progress. It’s a clever idea, but the first-person perspective slows down the pacing and doesn’t seem necessary for most of the gameplay. fans of Puzzle games may enjoy this game, but it won’t be for everyone.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book	Platformer / Puzzle	B-
tl;dr Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is a Platformer with strong Puzzle elements that takes the typical Yoshi gameplay formula, removes any semblance of difficulty, and instead uses the Platforming as a delivery implement for the Puzzle gameplay, which works out to “try a bunch of stuff with this game’s odd creatures and see what happens”. Older players are likely to be frustrated and bored with this game, but youngsters may find it to be a delightfully inventive introduction to the Platformer genre.
