The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe for Nintendo Switch – Review

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe

Review (Page 3):

Oh, now you’re just clicking on the link I don’t tell you to click, aren’t you? Is this all some sort of game to you? Is it? Well… hmm, now that I think of it, this is a game review subreddit, isn’t it? I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised. You’ve probably grown bored with all this lack of agency and are looking for something to play, not some boring old review to read? I feel so foolish, I really should have realized it sooner. Well, I can correct this problem… let’s see… ah, I know…

Hold on one moment…

Okay, I need to set this up…

…. okay, I’ve got my item flags on, good… good…

…… and there we go. I think we’re ready. Let’s get started!

.

The reader had just seen through the narrator’s nefarious scheme to keep them locked into the passive process of review-reading, when their resistance suddenly broke them free of their metaphorical chains, and they now found themselves able to go wherever they wanted, do whatever they wanted, to act and make choices of their own free will!

However, they weren’t truly free yet. The reader knew that the evil narrator was still out there, still waiting to drag them back to the review, kicking and screaming. To be rid of the narrator’s machinations forever, the reader would need to obtain a power capable of defeating the narrator. Only then would they be able to live their life in peace.

Looking around them, the reader sees they’re on an webpage, still within the eShopperReviews.com website. There’s a HEADER bar on the top, a SIDEBAR, and exits to the EAST and WEST.
