The reader decided to do as Sun Tzu recommended, and know thy enemy. “Tell me about the narrator”, the reader requested politely.

“Ah, him,” the bartender said, scratching his beard, “he lives off to the West. Be careful, young reader. He has a mean streak, and is liable to off any stray wanderers who happen his way without a proper WEAPON to fight him off.”

By the way, this should make it clear how fair I’m being about this little adventure here. I didn’t have to tell you that the bartender said I had a mean streak. Which is pure slander, by the way, I absolutely do not. In any case, I conveyed his words to you as he spoke them, and you can just decide if you believe his word over mine.

Anyway, the bartender continued, “was there anything else you need to know? If not, you know the way OUT.”

Thinking about it, the reader reasoned that they could ASK BARTENDER about the WEAPON he alluded to. Or perhaps it might simply be better to learn more about where they are, and they could ask about this LOCATION.

The only exit is OUT.
