Review:

Turn It! is a Puzzle-Platformer released in 2025 on Nintendo Switch. In this game, players control a character that looks like an old-fashioned computer monitor with arms, legs, and bunny ears, who must reach each level’s exit, with the player able to rotate the screen to help them get there.

This game’s presentation uses simple, plain-looking 2D visuals backed by forgettable synthesized music. It’s not bad per se, but it’s completely devoid of personality.

When it comes to the gameplay, what’s here is fine, but there’s nothing to really set it apart from numerous other games that use the same concept. Well, at least nothing good.

When it comes to the bad stuff, we have an absolute ton of leaps of faith that will force you to restart repeatedly because you tilted the level and wound up falling into a deadly hazard you couldn’t see. You have deadly lasers that will still kill you even after the laser appears to be gone. And there’s the arbitrary refusal to support Pro-style controllers, meaning this game requires players to use Joy-Cons even though the game doesn’t make use of any of their unique features.

In short, Turn It! is a fairly mediocre room-spinning Puzzle-Platformer that doesn’t do anything especially interesting with this gameplay formula and has multiple problems that other games of this type don’t. It’s not a terrible game, and at $3 I suppose some players may find it worth a look, but for players who value their time, I recommend checking out one of the countless better games in the genre instead.

tl;dr – Turn It! is a Puzzle-Platformer where players must reach an exit, and get there by spinning the game’s levels around. This isn’t a terrible game, but it doesn’t do anything with its formula that countless other games haven’t already done, and it has multiple problems with leaps of faith, unclear hazards, and control issues. It’s only $3, but even then I’d recommend to look into other games in the genre first.
