Review:
Xtreme Sports Bundle – 2 in 1 is a Compilation containing ATV Drift & Tricks and Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands, released separately on Nintendo Switch in 2018 and 2022 respectively, with this bundle releasing on Nintendo Switch in 2025.
I have separately reviewed these games. Here is what I thought of each of the games in this collection:
| Game | Genre | # of Players | Score |
|---|---|---|---|
| ATV Drift & Tricks | Arcade Racing | 1 | C |
tl;drATV Drift & Tricks is an Arcade-Style ATV Racing game with a unique trick-boost system. The core gameplay here is fantastic, and I love the track design, but the short campaign, lack of multiplayer, and awful graphics result in a game that fails to live up to its potential. | |||
| Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands | Open-World / Top-Down Sports (Skiing / Snowboarding) | 1-4 (Local / Local Wireless) | B |
tl;drGrand Mountain Adventure is a Top-Down Open-World Skiing / Snowboarding game that has players exploring large open-area mountains and completing goals. The game’s presentation is wonderful, making exploring these mountains an excellent experience, though the frustrating controls and camera can make things frustrating at times. Still, despite these flaws, this is a wonderful Skiing and Snowboarding game, and one well worth playing. | |||
Ironically, I think both of these games kinda’ have the opposite problems. ATV Drift and Tricks has solid core gameplay, but it doesn’t build on that gameplay, the graphics are terrible, and it’s overall an unpolished game. Meanwhile, Grand Mountain Adventure has an excellent presentation and is lovingly polished, but I found the core gameplay to be a bit lacking. On balance, I liked Grand Mountain Adventure more, largely because its gameplay flaws weren’t as major as ATV Drift and Tricks’ flaws. Still, I think both games have at least something going for them.
Okay, so does tossing these two games into a bundle add value? Let’s have a look. Well, the individual games cost a combined total of $45, and the bundle costs $30, which is a pretty good discount. However, that’s not even the half of it. See, Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands’ normal price is $35, meaning that this bundle, containing that game plus one other, is actually lower than the price of its best game!
However, there’s a catch, and that’s the sale prices. Individually, the combined games here have gone down as low as $5.25 and $2, while this bundle’s only sale price thus far was its launch sale price of $22.50. So… not so great a deal.
It’s always difficult to know whether or not to recommend a bundle when something like this is the case. I guess the question is, do you want to wait until the games go on sale? If so, I suggest buying Grand Mountain Adventure separately and maybe skipping ATV Drift & Tricks. But if you want Grand Mountain Adventure right now and can’t wait for a sale? Well, that’s odd since the game came out four years ago, but if that’s really the case then this bundle is definitely better than buying Grand Mountain Adventure at full price. However, I’m going to venture a guess that most people will probably be in the former camp and not the latter.
tl;dr – Xtreme Sports Bundle – 2 in 1 is a Compilation containing the solid Open-World Top-Down Skiing game Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands, and the mediocre Arcade-style Racing Game ATV Drift & Tricks. I do think both of these games have something going for them, though Grand Mountain Adventure is definitely the better part of this bundle. And the standard price is surprisingly good… until you look at sale prices and realize you’re better off getting the individual games when they go on sale. Or more likely, just buy Grand Mountain Adventure when it goes on sale.
