Review:

Asphalt Racing Bundle Speedway & Grand Prix is a Compilation containing two Racing games released on Nintendo Switch in 2020 and 2018 respectively, with this bundle releasing on Nintendo Switch in 2026.

I have separately reviewed these games. Here is what I thought of each of the games in this collection:

GameGenre# of PlayersScore
Grand Prix Rock ‘N RacingTop-Down Racing1-4 Competitive (Local Split-Screen)D+
tl;drGrand Prix Rock ‘N Racing is a Top-Down Racing game that has players racing F1 cars with a visual style that looks a lot like a scale model. While the presentation here is charming, the gameplay is so stiff and unforgiving that it’s hard to enjoy this game. I recommend you skip it and save yourself the trouble.
Speedway RacingArcade Racing1-4 Competitive (Local Split-Screen)D+
tl;drSpeedway Racing is an Arcade Racing game with NASCAR-style racing events. The game mixes some surprisingly good presentation elements with some bad ones and some that are outright bizarre. However, even the good elements here are hard to appreciate with this game’s terrible framerates, bad collision physics, and some really inexplicably awful design choices that make this game an ordeal to play.

In short, neither of these games is very good, with gameplay issues, performance issues, and poor design choices that make this pair pretty terrible.

Can it be saved by presenting a value package? Well, the individual games sell for $10 each on the eShop, while the bundle sells for $15, so you might think it’s a good deal… until you realize that the individual games regularly get slashed to the rock-bottom price of $2 each, and this bundle has yet to receive any discount as of this writing. So… no, not even a good deal.

So two bad games at a bad price… even if you like Racing Games, I think you can see how you’d want to steer yourself somewhere else. Don’t buy Asphalt Racing Bundle Speedway & Grand Prix.

tl;dr – Asphalt Racing Bundle Speedway & Grand Prix is a Compilation containing the Racing games Grand Prix Rock ‘N Racing and Speedway Racing. Both of these games are terrible, with numerous gameplay and performance issues, and this bundle isn’t even offering a good value to make up for that. Do not buy this.

Grade: D
