Ducks in Disguise is a family-friendly “hidden object”-style Puzzle Game released on PC and Nintendo Switch in 2026. This game has you searching for rubber ducks hidden in 24 scenes.

When it comes to the presentation, this game uses a cartoony 2D art style that colors in the ducks as you find them, only coloring in the full scene once you’ve found all of the ducks within that scene. These visuals are backed by relaxed music that fits the gameplay well, as well as a little “quack” sound every time you find a duck.

The gameplay here is decent for this genre, letting players select objects using either a gamepad or the touchscreen in handheld mode, with the touchscreen controls working pretty well. Ducks can be sitting within the scene positioned in various odd angles, or they can be hidden within the scene elements, such as being a part of a painting. They’re not overly-difficult to find in either case, and the game has a nice help feature on a timer that players can use if they get stuck.

The main complaint I have here is that there’s no option to zoom the screen to look more closely, something particularly frustrating when playing the game in handheld mode, forcing players to really scrutinize the entirety of the scene on the small screen. It’s not enough to make this game unplayable or even prohibitively difficult, but it’s irritating all the same

Despite this flaw, Ducks in Disguise’s $4 price tag seems like a decent price for a hidden object game, with the good variety of scenes helping to set this game apart within this genre. This game does little to transform the genre or present it in a way that’s likely to win over anyone who isn’t interested in this sort of game, but Ducks in Disguise is still a good take on the genre that should satisfy those who do like this style of Puzzle game. If that sounds like you, you may find this game worth trying out.
