Review:
Om Nom: Run & Om Nom: Run 2 is a Compilation containing the two named games, both behind-the-character Auto-Runner games released on Nintendo Switch in 2021 and 2025 respectively, with this bundle releasing on Nintendo Switch in 2025.
I have separately reviewed these games. Here is what I thought of each of the games in this collection:
| Game | Genre | # of Players | Score |
|---|---|---|---|
| Om Nom: Run | Auto-Runner | 1-8 Competitive (Local, Local Split-Screen), Online Leaderboards | C+ |
tl;drOm Nom: Run is a behind-the-character Auto-Runner starring the little green creature from the Cut the Rope series. As games in this genre go, this game works well enough and is reasonably polished, but it doesn’t really do anything noteworthy to set itself apart. If you’re looking for an Auto-Runner you’ll probably be satisfied with this, but I doubt you’ll be ecstatic about it. | |||
| Om Nom: Run 2 | Auto-Runner / Racing | 1 | C- |
tl;drOm Nom: Run 2 is a behind-the-character Auto-Runner starring the little green creature from the Cut the Rope series. This game adds a lot more variety over the first game, but forces you into three-round races making for required repetition against cheating AI opponents. This largely outweighs all the improvements this game features, and makes this game an overall worse experience. | |||
In short, I think both of these games are decent, but unspectacular, with the second Om Nom Run changing up its game design in ways that I think make the game worse overall. Still, if you’re looking for some mindless fun, these games aren’t outright terrible.
Okay, so that leaves the question of value. And… well, it’s interesting. If we’re looking at the standard prices, both of the games individually sell for $5, while the bundle sells for $8, making it a decent discount. However, when you look at sale prices, this bundle has gone on sale for $4, while the individual games have repeatedly gone on sale for $2 each, making them roughly the same price… or at least that was the case until this bundle came out and discounts on the individual games started getting stingier. Kinda’ sleazy…
In the end, I would still lean towards saying that Om Nom: Run & Om Nom: Run 2 is a good deal if you’re inclined to get these two games, but… well, that leads to the question of whether you should get these two games. I don’t really think these are fantastic games, and you have plenty of other options in this genre on Nintendo Switch, but I also don’t think they’re outright terrible. Take from that what you will.
tl;dr – Om Nom: Run & Om Nom: Run 2 is a Compilation of the two named games, both behind-the-character Auto-Runner games that are decent but not great, in a Compilation that’s mostly a good deal but not a fantastic one. In short, this is not a bundle to get excited about.
