Review:

Werewolf Online, released in 2020 on PC and ported to Nintendo Switch in 2026, is a free-to-play Compilation of Party and Board Games to play with others online. While Werewolf is the headliner here, it’s actually one of five games, with the other four being Ludo (probably better known to most players as Parcheesi), Connect 4, Scribble (I’m guessing something like Pictionary), and Liar’s Table (I’m guessing a card game akin to the dice game Liar’s Dice).

Now, at this point, you might find yourself asking, “why are you guessing?”, and the answer is because I wasn’t actually able to play any of these games.

Werewolf Online is already frustrating enough as-is – it can only be played in handheld mode using the touchscreen. But on top of this, I was only able to find one other player online for Werewolf (you need ten players for a game), and no other players for the other games.

I suppose I could talk about the game’s cartoony art style, or the lack of music or sound effects, but what’s the point? A game that’s unplayable is… unplayable. And it’s not like the userbase dwindled down after launch – I played this the week the game released.

It’s unfortunate, because the flaw that absolutely kills this game is due to no fault of the game itself. But I cannot give this game a proper review because it is for all intents and purposes unplayable for me. And since it is unplayable, I cannot possibly recommend it to anyone else either.

tl;dr – Werewolf Online is a Compilation of five Party Games and Board Games, but unfortunately there aren’t enough people playing the game online to actually, well, play the game. And as a result, this game is literally unplayable. As such, I can’t recommend wasting time on this.

Grade: N/A (F)
