The JSaux GoJoy Case is a dockable Case for Nintendo Switch 2 with detachable Joy-Con 2 cases, its own kickstand, and a protective screen cover for when the Nintendo Switch 2 is out and about. Let’s have a look and see how well this all works!

The case comes with four separate pieces – one to cover the back, one to cover each Joy-Con 2 controller, and the screen cover. They’re all mostly pretty easy to install and, if need be, uninstall. I will note that the Joy-Con 2 covers fit on in a way that they can be slightly off, so you’ll want to check to make sure there aren’t gaps or anything to ensure it’s installed correctly.

Once pieced together, the case fits the Nintendo Switch 2 quite snugly, and it doesn’t block any of the ports or features of the Nintendo Switch 2, save for a few exceptions – the sync button on top is now recessed so much that you’ll want a pointy object to press it, and now both the kickstand and the MicroSD Express card housed underneath it are covered up and inaccessible, replaced with a second kickstand that I’ll get to in a moment.

The case doesn’t make it more difficult to use any of the usual buttons, and in fact, the Joy-Con 2 covers have textured ergonomic grips that feel really nice, and reminded me a lot of the outstanding IFYOO NexGrip Ergonomic Grip Set. On balance, I think I like IFYOO’s grips a bit better because they’re easier to wrap your fingers around and clutch on to, but JSaux’s grips are a close second, making the Nintendo Switch 2 not only more comfortable to play in handheld mode, but also with the Joy-Con 2 controllers removed and even in Mouse Mode. Other case-makers take notice: IFYOO and JSaux’s way of handling Joy-Con 2 grips is a high-watermark and an example to follow.

Looking at the back, this case’s kickstand slots along the top of the case and is actually a bit difficult to pry away. Once you do it swivels downward in a sorta’ ratcheting motion, fully adjustable to different angles. It works, but I’m not thrilled with how difficult it is to pull out in the first place, and I don’t see why the case opted to do this instead of just leaving the Nintendo Switch 2’s kickstand and MicroSD Express card slot accessible.

Overall, I think this case offers some good protection all on its own, feeling pretty thick and sturdy, though of course there’s one more piece to discuss, the faceplate screen cover.

The case uses a firm plastic-like polycarbonate cover with slots for both of the analog sticks, and it wraps around the top and bottom of the Nintendo Switch 2 to provide protection for the shoulder and trigger buttons as well. Inside, there’s foam padding for additional screen protection, as well as slots for eight Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 game cartridges, a nice little extra.

So, add it all together and what’s the result? A pretty darn good case, actually, and one that covers a lot of bases. It’s dockable, ergonomic, seems like it provides good protection for the Nintendo Switch 2, and even has a little storage for game cartridges. The big flaw here has to be the kickstand – it’s inconvenient and frustrating to use, and it seems unnecessary when Nintendo Switch 2’s own kickstand already works well, and covering it up means you can’t access the MicroSD Express card slot. Also, while the Joy-Con 2 grips are fantastic, I still slightly prefer IFYOO’s Joy-Con 2 grips.

However, I should note that all of these are mostly minor complaints about what is overall a very good case, and given that it’s selling for a very affordable $35, I think what you’re getting here is well worth the price. And while, yes, there’s room for improvement here, overall I think most people who get this case will be more than satisfied with it.

tl;dr – The JSaux GoJoy Case is a dockable case for Nintendo Switch 2 that does a lot of things very well – it significantly improves the ergonomics of the Joy-Cons, seems to provide a good amount of protection, and even has storage for eight game cartridges. Its biggest flaw is its kickstand, which is frustrating to pull out, and its inclusion means the Nintendo Switch 2’s MicroSD Express card slot is inaccessible. This plus a few other minor gripes mean there’s room for improvement here, but overall this is an excellent case at a good price, and I think Nintendo Switch 2 owners who pick this up will find it well worth getting.
