Nintendo Switch 2 Reviews: Fighting Games and Pro Wrestling Games

Here’s the games I have reviewed so far on the Nintendo Switch in these genres, from best to worst. Note: If multiple games have the same score, they will be sorted alphabetically.

  1. Fighting Games
  2. Pro Wrestling Games

tl;dr Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is an updated port of a Fighting Game that is now 20 years old, and it shows. That isn’t to say it looks or plays poorly (though I personally find it stiff and just not fun to control), but that it doesn’t hold up to modern entries in the genre. However, this is a solid port, and with its $20 budget price tag it’s sure to satisfy fans of the series. I just don’t see this having the same appeal for most players, even fans of the Fighting Game genre.

Pro Wrestling Games

WWE 2K25Fighting GameC
tl;dr WWE 2K25 is the first WWE game on a Nintendo platform in a half a decade, and while it may not be the embarrassment that WWE 2K18 is, I can’t recommend this to players who don’t already enjoy the series, thanks to extremely stingy timing required to repel attacks, and unimpressive visuals. If you’re a fan of the series you may feel differently about this game, but if you’re not a regular in the ring, this is not a good game to make your Pro Wrestling debut.
