Game Compilations

GameGenreGrade
Borderlands Legendary CollectionCompilation / First-Person ShooterA+
Included GamesBorderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Ultimate Edition
tl;drBorderlands Legendary Collection is a compilation of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, all phenomenal “looter shooter” First-Person Shooters that combine the genre with loot-collecting mechanics of games like Diablo. These are also some of the best co-op games ever made, and the Nintendo Switch versions make careful cuts to the bring the game to the Nintendo Switch mostly intact. On top of that, this is an outstanding value at $50. Unless you already have these games on another platform, consider Borderlands Legendary Collection a must-have on the Nintendo Switch.
Diablo Prime Evil CollectionTop-Down Action-RPGA+
Included GamesDiablo III Eternal Collection, Diablo II: Resurrected
tl;drDiablo Prime Evil Collection is a Compilation that includes the absolute must-have Top-Down Action-RPG Diablo III: Eternal Collection, as well as the massively disappointing Diablo II: Resurrected, along with a few nice cosmetic items. While this is an uneven package, the price is so good that anyone buying Diablo III on the Nintendo Switch (and you really should) is better off getting this package instead, as it includes more content for the same price.
Mega Man Legacy CollectionCompilation / Action-PlatformerA+
Included GamesMega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5, Mega Man 6
tl;drMega Man Legacy Collection is a collection of the first six NES games in this series of Action-Platformers. Two of these games are absolutely legendary, one is just as good if a bit less-iconic, and the other games here are all at least worth playing. Pair that with an absolute wealth of options and bonus content and a very reasonable price tag and you have an absolute must-have collection that any fan of Action-Platformers should own.
Mega Man X Legacy CollectionCompilation / Action-PlatformerA+
Included GamesMega Man X, Mega Man X2, Mega Man X3, Mega Man X4
tl;drMega Man X Legacy Collection is a collection of the first four games in this series of Action-Platformers. Every one of the included games is excellent, with the first in particular being a must-play game that still stands tall as one of the finest in the genre. What’s more, this package includes a huge wealth of bonus content. Fans of Action-Platformers should absolutely have this game in their collection.
Octopath Traveler + Octopath Traveler II BundleCompilation / Turn-Based JRPGA+
Included GamesOctopath Traveler, Octopath Traveler II
tl;drOctopath Traveler + Octopath Traveler II Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games, both absolutely must-play Turn-Based JRPGs, and with the great value this bundle presents, it’s an even bigger no-brainer than either game on its own. If you enjoy JRPGs on Nintendo Switch and have yet to play the Octopath Traveler games, you should absolutely get this bundle.
Ori: The CollectionCompilation / MetroidvaniaA+
Included GamesOri and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition, Ori and the Will of the Wisps
tl;drOri: The Collection on Nintendo Switch is a physical-only Compilation of Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. In sum, this is two of the most well-crafted, fun, and stunningly beautiful Metroidvania games ever made. The Compilation is priced about the same as it would cost to get these games separately, but in exchange you get both games on the cartridge, with a few small extras as well. If you have somehow missed out on these games until now, you should definitely remedy that oversight.
Portal Companion CollectionCompilation / First-Person Platformer / PuzzleA+
Included GamesPortal, Portal 2
tl;drPortal Companion Collection is a Compilation of the physics-based First-Person Platformer / Puzzle games Portal and Portal 2. These are two of the greatest games ever made, and this is a pretty comprehensive port with performance that makes it the best console release these games have ever seen. This is an outstanding package, and its outstanding price of $20 makes it a game that you should absolutely add to your collection if you don’t own it already… and perhaps even if you do.
Shovel Knight: Treasure TroveCompilation / Action-PlatformerA+
Included GamesShovel Knight: Shovel of Hope, Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows, Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment, Shovel Knight: King of Cards, Shovel Knight Showdown
tl;drShovel Knight: Treasure Trove is a collection of the Action-Platformer Shovel Knight and all four of its expansions, including Plague of Shadows which is not purchasable separately. Shovel Knight was already a must-have game, but this collection is so jam-packed with value it makes the entire package one of the best games to get on the Nintendo Switch. Unless you have this collection on another platform, you need to get it on your Nintendo Switch.
Ace Attorney AnthologyCompilation / Visual Novel / Graphic AdventureA
Included GamesPhoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice
tl;drAce Attorney Anthology is a Compilation of two Compilations – Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy and Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, all combined including the first six mainline games in the series. All of these games are a superb blend of Visual Novel and Graphic Adventure with a fun courtroom drama story. If you’ve never tried this series before, this is a great starting point and a good value.
Ace Attorney Turnabout CollectionCompilation / Visual Novel / Graphic AdventureA
Included GamesPhoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations, The Great Ace Attorney Adventures, The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve
tl;drAce Attorney Turnabout Collection is a Compilation of two Compilations – Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, the first three games in the series and the two more recent prequels. All of these games are a superb blend of Visual Novel and Graphic Adventure with a fun courtroom drama story, and the compilation is an excellent value. If you’ve never tried this series before and have an interest, this is an excellent package to bring you into the series.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney TrilogyCompilation / Visual Novel / Graphic AdventureA
Included GamesApollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice
tl;drApollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a Compilation of Visual Novel and Graphic Adventure games comprising fourth, fifth, and sixth mainline games in the Ace Attorney series. This bundle is an excellent value with three superb games at their very best, with plenty of extra content. I do think you should play the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy first, but if you liked those games, this bundle is an absolute no-brainer.
Axiom Verge 1 & 2 BundleCompilation / MetroidvaniaA
Included GamesAxiom Verge, Axiom Verge 2
tl;drAxiom Verge 1 & 2 Bundle is a Compilation of two extraordinary Metroidvania games, and while I highly recommend playing both of these games, you’re not really getting any benefit from buying them together in this bundle, which sells for the same price as both games combined. Still, whichever way you go about getting them, these games are well worth playing, and this is a perfectly fine way to get them both.
Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 Digital BundleCompilation / Spectacle FighterA
Included GamesBayonetta, Bayonetta 2
tl;drBayonetta and Bayonetta 2 Digital Bundle is a Compilation of the first two Bayonetta games, each of the two being one of the best Spectacle Fighter games ever made. You spend about as much on this bundle as you would buying the games separately using the discount, but this is a good way to get them both in one go and not worry about the confusing way that discount is implemented. You’re not saving more by getting the games this way, but it’s a good value on two phenomenal games regardless.
Borderlands: The Handsome CollectionCompilation / First-Person ShooterA
Included GamesBorderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Ultimate Edition
tl;drBorderlands: The Handsome Collection is a compilation of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, both phenomenal “looter shooter” First-Person Shooters that combine the genre with loot-collecting mechanics of games like Diablo. These are also some of the best co-op games ever made, and the Nintendo Switch versions make careful cuts to the bring the game to the Nintendo Switch mostly intact. In fact, the only thing that keeps me from saying this package is an absolute must-have is the existence of the Borderlands Legendary Collection, which is a much better value as a package. However, even if the Legendary Collection is clearly the better way to go, it doesn’t change that this is a phenomenal collection of must-have games well worth owning on the Nintendo Switch.
Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s BoxCompilation / First-Person Shooter / Graphic Adventure / Visual NovelA
Included GamesBorderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Ultimate Edition, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Tales From the Borderlands, New Tales From the Borderlands
tl;drBorderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box is a Compilation containing all six Borderlands games released on the Nintendo Switch thus far, including four First-Person Shooters and two Graphic Adventure/Visual Novel games. All of these games are good, and a few are absolute must-haves. The $150 price tag is steep, but still a good savings… however, when this bundle goes on sale, it is an absolute steal that is definitely worth getting.
Castlevania Advance CollectionCompilation / Metroidvania / Action-PlatformerA
Included GamesCastlevania: Dracula X, Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
tl;drCastlevania Advance Collection is a Compilation of Castlevania: Dracula X, Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. While Dracula X and Harmony both have their flaws, they’re both still solid games well worth playing. However, Circle and especially Aria are absolutely fantastic Metroidvania games that are must-play entries in the genre. Add to all of that a wealth of extra content and options and a wonderful $20 price tag, and you have a collection that is a must-buy for both Castlevania fans and Metroidvania-lovers.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2Compilation / Action-PlatformerA
Included GamesMega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5, Mega Man 6, Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9, Mega Man 10
tl;drMega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 contains the first ten numbered games in the original Mega Man series in a physical release, with nearly all of those games being great, and three of them being absolutely phenomenal. What’s more, this package comes loaded with bonus content, and after initially being overpriced is now a better value than buying the two Legacy Collections separately… at least if you don’t mind the 3.3GB download required to play Mega Man Legacy Collection 2. However, save for that flaw, this is an excellent collection of great games that should be considered a must-have for fans of Action-Platformers.
Overcooked! All You Can EatCompilation / Arcade / Party GameA
Included GamesOvercooked: Special Edition, Overcooked! 2
tl;drOvercooked! All You Can Eat is a Compilation containing enhanced versions of the first two Overcooked games, both family-friendly Arcade-style Party Games with a strong focus on co-op play. While I don’t think the Overcooked games have quite managed to maintain their legendary status as the years have passed, these are still two of the best co-op games ever made, and this package adds multiple features, enhancements, and new content to ensure that this is the definitive version of both games, all at a very reasonable price. I wouldn’t recommend this for players who already own both Overcooked games, but for anyone else who enjoys co-op gameplay, this is absolutely worth getting.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s FuryCompilation / 3D Platformer / Open-WorldA
Included GamesSuper Mario 3D World, Bowser’s Fury
tl;drSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is a Compilation of two 3D Platformers – an upscaled and much-improved port of Super Mario 3D World, and the all-new Open-World game Bowser’s Fury. On their own, each wouldn’t hold a candle to Mario’s best adventures – 3D World isn’t nearly as ambitious as Odyssey or Galaxy, and Bowser’s Fury is too short. However, combined they come very close to that same level of quality, and the resulting package is a must-have for Mario fans.
The Great Ace Attorney ChroniclesCompilation / Visual Novel / Graphic AdventureA
Included GamesThe Great Ace Attorney Adventures, The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve
tl;drThe Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a Compilation of two Victorian-era prequels in the Ace Attorney series previously only released in Japan, combining the series’ trademark courtroom drama gameplay with a new setting, new characters, new gameplay elements, outstanding graphics and a superb soundtrack, all at a great value. There are a few elements here that don’t quite work as well as they could, but overall, this is a must-have game in the Visual Novel genre, and even if you’re not a fan of the genre you’ll want to give this game a look if you enjoy courtroom dramas.
Advance Wars 1 + 2 Re-Boot CampCompilation / Turn-Based StrategyA-
Included GamesAdvance Wars, Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising
tl;drAdvance Wars 1 + 2 Re-Boot Camp is a compilation of remakes of the Game Boy Advance Turn-Based Strategy games Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. These are two phenomenal games, and the revitalized presentation looks great. However, there are some important features that are missing here, and in particular this game looks especially feature-poor next to the highly-similar game, Wargroove. I do still highly recommend Advance Wars 1 + 2 Re-Boot Camp, but between the two titles I think Wargroove is the better choice.
Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel CollectionCompilation / Stealth / Open-World Action-RPGA-
Included GamesAssassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed Rogue
tl;drAssassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection is a compilation of improved ports of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue, although not quite as improved as the versions of these games other platforms got. Still, these games are both solid ports that largely lack the flaws the Nintendo Switch port of Assassin’s Creed III had, and they’re better games too, with Assassin’s Creed IV in particular being an absolute joy of a swashbuckling tale that remains not only one of the highlights of the entire franchise, but also a great entry point for newcomers to the series. This is an absolute must-own collection of games, and the Nintendo Switch version is an excellent version of the game.
Castlevania Anniversary CollectionCompilation / Action-PlatformerA-
Included GamesCastlevania, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania: The Adventure, Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Kid Dracula
tl;drCastlevania Anniversary Collection is a collection of Action-Platformers that includes eight of the great games from early in the series (well, six great games plus two crappy Game Boy games). This collection gives players a wealth of options and bonus content, and is… actually pretty ideal for a collection of some of the best Action-Platformers ever made. This title is a must for fans of the genre.
Castlevania Dominus CollectionCompilation / Metroidvania / Action-PlatformerA-
Included GamesCastlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Haunted Castle, Haunted Castle Revisited
tl;drCastlevania Dominus Collection is a Compilation containing three Metroidvania-style games in the Castlevania series from Nintendo DS, along with the arcade Action-Platformer Haunted Castle and a brand new remake of that game, Haunted Castle Revisited. The original Haunted Castle is clunky and dated, but everything else here ranges from good to outstanding, with Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow being one of the best games in the franchise. This collection does a good job with the dual-screen and touchscreen elements of the original games, and adds a bunch of features and bonus content, overall making for a great package that’s a must-have for any fans of Metroidvania games and the Castlevania series specifically.
Castlevania Collections BundleCompilation / Action-Platformer / MetroidvaniaA-
Included GamesCastlevania, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania: The Adventure, Castlevania II: Belmont’s Revenge, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Kid Dracula, Castlevania: Dracula X, Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Haunted Castle, Haunted Castle Revisited
tl;drCastlevania Collections Bundle includes three bundles of Castlevania Action-Platformers: Castlevania Anniversary Collection, Castlevania Advance Collection, and Castlevania Dominus Collection, collectively containing seventeen Action-Platformers and Metroidvania games. The overall level of quality here is extremely high, with very few stinkers, and overall this bundle represents an absolutely massive amount of great gameplay. However, definitely compare the price in this bundle to the sale prices of the individual Collections contained within, as you might get a better deal getting the individual games, depending on the current sale.
Collection of ManaCompilation / Action-RPGA-
Included GamesFinal Fantasy Adventure, Secret of Mana, Trials of Mana
tl;drCollection of Mana is a compilation of 3 classic Zelda-style Action-Adventure games, two of which are phenomenal titles with superb music and great co-op gameplay that have withstood the test of time and are arguably two of the best games the genre has ever seen (and Final Fantasy Adventure has its good qualities too). However, the lack of extras and absurd price tag makes it hard to give this collection the enthusiastic recommendation it would otherwise deserve.
Crysis Remastered TrilogyCompilation / First-Person ShooterA-
Included GamesCrysis Remastered, Crysis 2 Remastered, Crysis 3 Remastered
tl;drCrysis Remastered Trilogy is a Compilation of phenomenal ports of three solid First-Person Shooters that are still visually stunning, outpacing prior console releases of the series. These games are a marvel to see running this well on Nintendo Switch, and only the lack of the original games’ multiplayer and a few other minor issues make this anything less than a trilogy of perfect ports. And at $50, this Compilation is an absolute steal, and any fan of First-Person Shooters on the Nintendo Switch should absolutely give this package a look.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD RemasterCompilation / Turn-Based JRPGA-
Included GamesFinal Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X: Eternal Calm, Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy X-2: Final Mission
tl;drFinal Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is a compilation of every game in the Final Fantasy X saga, with improved graphics and an optional remastered soundtrack. Final Fantasy X alone is an absolute must-play game that makes this compilation worthwhile, although none of the other content here quite measures up to it. If you’re a fan of JRPGs, however, this collection is worth it for that one game alone, and the other content here ain’t too shabby either.
FortniteCompilation / Open-World Third-Person ShooterA-
Included GamesFortnite Battle Royale, Party Royale, LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, LEGO Brick Life, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival
tl;drFortnite’s early days may have been as a Free-to-Play online multiplayer-focused “battle royale”-style Third-Person Shooter, but it has since blossomed into a massive game platform with a wide variety of different game types to enjoy, and just about all of them are fantastic. It’s intimidating, poorly-organized, confusing, and not very user-friendly to newer players, and the Nintendo Switch version has some ugly performance issues that make it one of the worst ways to play the game, but none of that changes that this is still a truly must-play game.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive EditionCompilation / Open-World Action-RPGA-
Included GamesGrand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
tl;drGrand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition may have released in a disastrous state, but thanks to post-launch patches it has since become a decent remaster of a trio of phenomenal games, to the point where I would say the worst issue with this bundle is how dated these games are next to more modern Open-World Action-RPGs like Grand Theft Auto V. Those complaints aside, I would definitely say that this Compilation of legendary games is well worth getting on Nintendo Switch.
Gris + Neva BundleCompilation / PlatformerA-
Included GamesGris, Neva
tl;drGris + Neva Bundle is a Compilation of the two named games, a Platformer and Action-Platformer that are both incredible must-have audiovisual experiences. This bundle is a decent deal if you’re not going to wait for a sale, too… but if you can wait, then just get the games separately, as their sale prices are better than this package’s sale price.
Hotline Miami CollectionCompilation / Top-Down Action / 2-Stick ShooterA-
Included GamesHotline Miami, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
tl;drHotline Miami Collection is a pair of solid Top-Down Action games with a colorful 80s-inspired presentation and intense action that makes players consider their plan of attack. It’s a solid experience, although the first Hotline Miami game is clearly the better of the two, thanks to the more cohesive story and better level design.
Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy CollectionCompilation / Action-Platformer / MetroidvaniaA-
Included GamesMega Man Zero, Mega Man Zero 2, Mega Man Zero 3, Mega Man Zero 4, Mega Man ZX, Mega Man ZX Advent
tl;drMega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is a collection of six games in Mega Man spinoff series on the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS. Some of the biggest complaints about these games (namely, the punishing difficulty) have been addressed with new features, making the otherwise excellent games much more approachable, and the result is a series that is sometimes truly great but always at least pretty good. Plus, the amount of extra content here is fantastic, especially for the low price of $30. If you’re a fan of Action-Platformers, especially if you enjoy Mega Man games, you need to own this collection.
Mutant Mudds CollectionCompilation / Platformer / Falling Block PuzzleA-
Included GamesMutant Mudds Deluxe, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, Mudd Blocks
tl;drMutant Mudds Collection is a compilation of the two Mutant Mudds Platformer games and a new Puzzle game, with all three being good entries in their respective genres, and the collection overall being a fantastic value.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney TrilogyCompilation / Visual Novel / Graphic AdventureA-
Included GamesPhoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations
tl;drPhoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a collection of the first three games in this series of investigation and legal drama games that lies somewhere between a Graphic Adventure and Visual Novel. This is a fantastic collection of three superb games with memorable characters and wonderful gameplay, but $30 for three games that are nearly 20 years old seems a bit much, even if you’re not likely to find a better deal on these games elsewhere.
Saints Row: The Big Purple PackageCompilation / Open-World Action-RPGA-
Included GamesSaints Row: The Third: The Full Package, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected
tl;drSaints Row: The Big Purple Package is a Compilation of two Open-World Action-RPG games – Saints Row: The Third: The Full Package, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected. Both games are outstanding and highly-creative, even if the Nintendo Switch ports had to make unfortunate graphical cutbacks, and this package is a solid deal on the pair of them. If you missed out on these games and want some great Open-World Action on Nintendo Switch, do not miss this bundle.
Spyro Reignited TrilogyCompilation / 3D PlatformerA-
Included GamesSpyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, Spyro: Year of the Dragon
tl;drSpyro Reignited Trilogy is a collection of the original three PlayStation Spyro games, family-friendly 3D Platformers that have withstood the test of time and are presented here with absolutely gorgeous graphics. While there are a few elements that haven’t aged well, like the camera, on the whole this is an absolute joy that fans of platformers should consider a must-have.
Spyro + Crash Remastered Game BundleCompilation / 3D PlatformerA-
Included GamesCrash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, Spyro: Year of the Dragon
tl;drSpyro + Crash Remastered Game Bundle is a Compilation containing Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy, with both of those games being full remakes and compilations of three classic family-friendly PlayStation 3D Platformers. All of the games included here are great, and buying them together shaves a bit off of the price you’d pay separately (even more if you catch a good sale). Platformer fans should absolutely consider getting this bundle, unless they already own one of these games.
Super Mario 3D All-StarsCompilation / 3D PlatformerA-
Included GamesSuper Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy
tl;drSuper Mario 3D All-Stars is a compilation of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy, all with improved resolution and full game soundtracks, and not much else. These games are legends, although of the three only Galaxy remains every bit as good as that legend. However, given the games’ age, the lack of enhancements, the lack of extra content, the high $60 price tag and the outrageous promise to yank the game from stores in a half a year, this otherwise must-have collection seems a lot less enticing than it should. It’s still a trio well worth owning for any fan of Platformers, but it’s one that’s hard for me to enthusiastically recommend.
The Jackbox Party Pack 3Compilation / Party GamesA-
Included GamesQuiplash 2, Trivia Murder Party, Guesspionage, Fakin’ It, Tee K.O.
tl;drThe Jackbox Party Pack 3 is a Collection of Party Games that includes five games that players play using their Smartphone instead of a controller. Of all the Jackbox collections so far, this is my favorite, with three of the games here being absolutely fantastic, and even the worst game here still has some excellent qualities. On top of that, there’s a lot of variety in this package, and some truly great presentation in some of the games here. In short, this is a must-have collection for fans of Party Games.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2Compilation / Sports (Skateboarding)A-
Included GamesTony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2
tl;drTony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a superb Compilation and Remake of the first two highly-celebrated games in the Skateboarding series that updates their gameplay and combines them into one whole cohesive experience while retaining what made them so beloved in the first place. The Nintendo Switch version is a severe downgrade in both graphical fidelity and performance from the versions of the game on more powerful hardware, and if you can get one of those versions, I highly recommend it. However, this is still a very playable version of the game and is otherwise intact and feature-complete, including solid online play. If you’ve been waiting for a great Skateboarding game on Nintendo Switch, this is it.
UFO 50CompilationA-
Included GamesAttactics, Avianos, Barbuta, Block Koala, Bug Hunter, Bushido Ball, Camouflage, Campanella, Campanella 2, Campanella 3, Caramel Caramel, Combatants, Cyber Owls, Devilition, Divers, Elfazar’s Hat, Fist Hell, Golfaria, Grimstone, Hot Foot, Hyper Contender, Kick Club, Lords of Diskonia, Magic Garden, Mini & Max, Mooncat, Mortol, Mortol II, Night Manor, Ninpek, Onion Delivery, Overbold, Paint Chase, Party House, Pilot Quest, Pingolf, Planet Zoldath, Porgy, Quibble Race, Rail Heist, Rakshasa, Rock On! Island, Seaside Drive, Star Waspir, The Big Bell Race, Vainger, Valbrace, Velgress, Waldorf’s Journey, Warptank
tl;drUFO 50 is a Compilation containing 50 retro-style games purportedly created by fictional game developer UFOSoft. This collection has a ton of variety and creativity, and while not every game ends up working out, enough succeed to make this collection worthwhile, especially for players who enjoy retro-style games.
Valkyria Chronicles + Valkyria Chronicles 4 BundleCompilation / Turn-Based Strategy-RPGA-
Included GamesValkyria Chronicles, Valkyria Chronicles 4
tl;drValkyria Chronicles + Valkyria Chronicles 4 Bundle is a Compilation of the two titular games, both outstanding XCOM-style Strategy-RPGs with wonderful and unique gameplay and a gorgeous cel-shaded anime-style presentation. This bundle offers a decent savings over buying both games separately too, though be aware that it doesn’t come with the Valkyria Chronicles 4 DLC that was in that game’s Complete Edition. Still, this is an excellent price on two fantastic games, and you’re still getting a great deal even if you decide you want to buy the DLC later.
20XX / 30XXCompilation / Action-Platformer / RoguelikeB+
Included Games20XX, 30XX
tl;dr20XX / 30XX is a physical-only Compilation of the two named games plus 30XX’s DLC. Both games are excellent and worth playing, and this is a well-priced package, but if a physical release isn’t important to you, you’ll save more money just by buying the individual games when they go on sale, so do that instead.
Ace Attorney Investigations CollectionCompilation / Graphic Adventure / Visual NovelB+
Included GamesAce Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor’s Gambit
tl;drAce Attorney Investigations Collection is a Compilation of Graphic Adventure and Visual Novel games Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth and Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor’s Gambit, both spin-off side-story games in the Ace Attorney series. While this is probably my least favorite pair of games in the franchise, they’re still excellent games, presented at their very best on a modern platform, and it’s certainly nice that this is the first Western release of Investigations 2. I don’t recommend this as a starting point for Ace Attorney newbies, but if you’ve played other games in the series and want more, this is absolutely worth a look.
Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio CollectionCompilation / Stealth / Open-World Action-RPGB+
Included GamesAssassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
tl;drAssassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection is a Compilation of remastered versions of Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, three solid Open World Action-RPGs that look and play great on Nintendo Switch. They’re missing the multiplayer content from the original games, they’ll take up a massive amount of space on your MicroSD card, and none of the games is quite as satisfying as what we already got in Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection, but this is still an excellent Compilation well worth getting for any fan of the franchise wanting to play these games on the go.
Assassin’s Creed Anniversary Edition Mega BundleCompilation / Stealth / Open-World Action-RPGB+
Included GamesAssassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Assassin’s Creed III, Assassin’s Creed Liberation, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry, Assassin’s Creed Rogue
tl;drAssassin’s Creed Anniversary Edition Mega Bundle is a Compilation of Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered, and Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection, which together between them contain 7-8 Assassin’s Creed games and a hefty amount of extra content. Its $100 price tag is daunting, but for everything included here, it’s actually a pretty good deal… and an even better deal if you get this bundle on sale. This may not be the best way to introduce yourself to the Assassin’s Creed series for the first time, but if you’re already a series fan looking to get everything available on Nintendo Switch so far, this is an excellent package.

(Atari 800)
tl;drAtari 50 is a Compilation of 115 Atari games dating back over 50 years, with classic Arcade, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, Atari 800 PC, Atari Lynx, and Atari Jaguar games, along with a few games created just for this collection. Most of these games are complete garbage and not worth playing, but a select few have managed to withstand the test of time, and overall the quality here is higher than what we saw in the Atari Flashback collection, in part thanks to improved controls. What’s more, this game contains an absolute treasure trove of extra features guiding players on a tour through Atari’s first 30 or so years of history, making this game invaluable for those with an interest in the origins of the videogame medium. As a result, this is a solid pickup for fans of retro Arcade games, and an absolute must-have for those wanting to learn about the medium.
Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker PackCompilation / Action-PlatformerB+
Included GamesAzure Striker Gunvolt, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2
tl;drAzure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack is a Compilation of two excellent Action-Platformers that play similarly to the Mega Man X and Mega Man Zero games, and the gameplay here is top-notch, although the 3DS origins of these games makes them feel a bit cramped, and the $40 price tag is pricey for what’s on offer here. Still, if you’re a fan of the genre who can find this game on sale, it’s absolutely worth snatching up.
Bioshock: The CollectionCompilation / First-Person ShooterB+
Included GamesBioshock: Remastered Edition, Bioshock 2: Remastered Edition, Bioshock Infinite: Remastered Edition
tl;drBioshock: The Collection bundles together the original Bioshock trilogy along with all of its DLC in a package that looks better than its original console releases (though not quite up to par with the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 versions of the games). The first and third of these games are epic, genre-defining games that still play great today, and the second game is still pretty good too. If you’re looking for some great First-Person Shooters on the Switch, this is definitely a good choice.
Bit.Trip CollectionCompilation / Music-Rhythm / ArcadeB+
Included GamesBit.Trip Beat, Bit.Trip Core, Bit.Trip Void, Bit.Trip Runner, Bit.Trip Fate, Bit.Trip Flux
tl;drBit.Trip Collection is a Compilation that includes Bit.Trip Beat, Bit.Trip Core, Bit.Trip Void, Bit.Trip Runner, Bit.Trip Fate, and Bit.Trip Flux. All of the games here are at least okay, with about half of them actually being genuinely good. However, at the extremely generous price of $10, this package is an absolute steal. Even if you’re only getting it for half of the games, it’s still better to get the whole package than to buy the games separately. This is definitely a great choice for anyone who enjoys simple Arcade-style games and Music-Rhythm games in particular.
Bleed Complete BundleCompilation / Action-Platformer / 2-Stick ShooterB+
Included GamesBleed, Bleed 2
tl;drBleed Complete Bundle includes Bleed and Bleed 2, both excellent Action-Platformers with 2-Stick Shooter gunplay, and both also extremely short and extremely overpriced games. Much as with the individual games, if you can get this collection at a discount, absolutely do so because the games are immensely fun. However, even with the savings this bundle provides, it’s still horribly overpriced at its normal price.
Capcom Beat ‘Em Up BundleCompilation / Arcade BrawlerB+
Included GamesFinal Fight, The King of Dragons, Captain Commando, Knights of the Round, Warriors of Fate, Armored Warriors, Battle Circuit
tl;drCapcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle is a collection of seven Arcade Brawler games originally released in arcades from 1989 to 1997. These games range from average to very good, with some of the best games in this collection never previously released on consoles. This collection has some good extras, and a good price. If you’re a fan of the genre, or just looking for a decent action game to play in co-op, this game is well worth getting.
Capcom Fighting BundleCompilation / Fighting GameB+
Included GamesCyberbots – Fullmetal Madness –,
Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition, Night Warriors: The Darkstalkers’ Revenge, Red Earth, Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge, Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire, Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire
, Street Fighter, Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha: Warrior’s Dreams, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter III: New Generation, Street Fighter III: Second Impact – Giant Attack, Street Fighter III: Third Strike – Fight For the Future
tl;drCapcom Fighting Bundle is a bundle containing the Compilations Capcom Fighting Collection and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, in total containing 22 classic Arcade games, most of them Fighting Games. The games included in this collection are nearly all outstanding. However, the Compilation is padded by multiple copies of the same game, and the value is somewhat undermined by most of these games also being available in the Capcom Arcade Stadium titles. However, if you want a comprehensive collection of great Fighting Games with lots of extra bonus content, this bundle is an excellent choice.
Capcom Fighting CollectionCompilation / Fighting GameB+
Included GamesCyberbots – Fullmetal Madness –,
Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition, Night Warriors: The Darkstalkers’ Revenge, Red Earth, Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge, Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire, Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire
tl;drCapcom Fighting Collection is a Compilation of 10 classic arcade games, mostly Fighting Games. Nearly all of the games in this Compilation are excellent… but nearly all of them are also in the Capcom Arcade Stadium titles. At the very least this Compilation comes with some good features and bonus content. Whether you get the included games in this Compilation or another, they are nevertheless superb Fighting Games, and fans of the genre should consider this Compilation a must-have.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2Compilation / Fighting GameB+
Included GamesCapcom Fighting Evolution, Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, Project Justice, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper
tl;drCapcom Fighting Collection 2 is a bundle containing 8 titles, mostly Fighting Games, with Capcom Vs. SNK 1 & 2, Power Stone 1 & 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, Project Justice, Plasma Sword, and Capcom Fighting Evolution. Most of these games are worth playing, a few of them are fan-favorites or obscure titles you’re not likely to see elsewhere, and there are hardly any duds, plus this bundle has a good array of features for these games. The online lobbies are pretty empty at this point, but if you have friends to play with, I think this bundle is well worth checking out.
Capcom Fighting Collection 1 + 2 BundleCompilation / Fighting GameB+
Included Games Cyberbots – Fullmetal Madness –,
Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition, Night Warriors: The Darkstalkers’ Revenge, Red Earth, Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge, Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire, Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire
, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, Project Justice, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper
tl;drCapcom Fighting Collection 1 + 2 Bundle is a bundle containing two Compilations, all together containing 18 titles, mostly Fighting Games. There are some truly phenomenal games here, and a good variety too, and this bundle does provide a decent value. However, you’ll want to compare and contrast the pricing here with the games available in Capcom Arcade Stadium and Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, which both offer some of the same titles.
Child of Light: Ultimate Edition + Valiant Hearts: The Great WarCompilation / Turn-Based RPG / Metroidvania / Puzzle-PlatformerB+
Included GamesChild of Light: Ultimate Edition, Valiant Hearts: The Great War
tl;drChild of Light: Ultimate Edition + Valiant Hearts: The Great War is a Compilation of the two named games – the former a fantasy-themed RPG with Metroidvania elements and the latter a World War I themed Puzzle-Platformer. They’re both good games, and I’d say that Child of Light is the better of the two, but they’re also two very different games. However, even if you’re more interested in one of the two games on offer here, the compilation is still well worth a look, because the digital version of this package has an excellent value (especially when it goes on sale on the eShop). Not so much for the physical version of the game.
Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide ClassicsCompilation / Card Games / Board Games / Sports / Misc.B+
Included Games6-Ball Puzzle, Air Hockey, Backgammon, Battle Tanks, Billiards, Blackjack, Bowling, Carrom, Checkers, Chess, Chinese Checkers, Darts, Dominoes, Dots and Boxes, Fishing, Four-in-a-Row, Golf, Gomoku, Hanafuda, Hare and Hounds, Hex, Hit and Blow, Klondike Solitaire, Last Card, Ludo, Mahjong Solitaire, Mancala, Matching, Mini Shogi, Nine Men’s Morris, Piano, Pig’s Tail, President, Renegade, Riichi Mahjong, Sevens, Shogi, Shooting Gallery, Sliding Puzzle, Slot Cars, Speed, Spider Solitaire, Takoyaki, Team Tanks, Texas Hold ‘Em, Toy Baseball, Toy Boxing, Toy Curling, Toy Soccer, Toy Tennis, War, Yacht Dice
tl;drClubhouse Games is a family-friendly Compilation of 51 various games (plus a piano toy software) ranging from time-honored classic card and board games to simple sports and arcade games. While most of the individual games are pretty feature-poor, there is a massive amount of content here, and most of it plays well and is excellently-presented. There are even a few delightful surprises here as well. Add in good local competitive play for two players and decent online play, and you have a superb game collection well worth owning.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane TrilogyCompilation / 3D PlatformerB+
Included GamesCrash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicoot: Warped
tl;drCrash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a collection of the original three PlayStation Crash Bandicoot games, family-friendly 3D Platformers that have been given a glorious makeover here. The gameplay is still excellent as well, though it has aged a bit in places – the restricted level design and unforgiving gameplay can be a cause for frustration. However, overall this is a superb collection well worth having.
Crash Bandicoot – Quadrilogy BundleCompilation / 3D PlatformerB+
Included GamesCrash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicoot: Warped, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time
tl;drCrash Bandicoot – Quadrilogy Bundle is a Compilation that includes Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4, which combined include 4 fantastic family-friendly Action-Platformers. As a package it’s a tad pricey, but it’s still a decent deal if you’re looking to add some great Platformers to your collection.
Crazy BMX WorldCompilation / Auto-RunnerB+
Included GamesBike Rider DX, Bike Rider Dx2: Galaxy, Bike Rider DX3: Time Rider
tl;drCrazy BMX World is a Compilation of the family-friendly Auto-Runner games Bike Rider DX, Bike Rider Dx2: Galaxy, and the previously Japan-only Bike Rider DX3: Time Rider. This Compilation frustratingly forces players to unlock all of its games, doesn’t support Pro Controllers, and lacks the earlier releases’ DLC. However, at $3, this is still an outstanding bargain of a package that contains simple but compelling Auto-Runner gameplay, and anyone who enjoys this sort of game or wants a fun but simple time-waster on the cheap would do well to pick this game up.
Crypt StalkerCompilation / Action-PlatformerB+
Included GamesCrypt Stalker (“Console Version”), Crypt Stalker (“Handheld Version”), Crypt Stalker: The Lost Sequel
tl;drCrypt Stalker is a Compilation of two (and a half) versions of Action-Platformer games inspired by the classic NES and Game Boy Castlevania games, and they succeed at this task beautifully. There are certainly some issues I could nitpick, but overall this is a delightful package that is well worth the $7 price tag.
Dying Light: Definitive Edition & Call of Juarez: GunslingerCompilation / First-Person Open-World Action-RPG / First-Person ShooterB+
Included GamesDying Light: Definitive Edition, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
tl;drDying Light: Definitive Edition & Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is a bundle containing the two named games, both solid First-Person games, though both play very differently. This is overall a very good pair of games, and this bundle will save you money getting both. If you’re looking to add some good M-Rated games to your collection, this is a fine choice.
Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete EditionCompilation / Turn-Based Monster Collecting JRPGB+
Included GamesDigimon Story Cyber Sleuth, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker’s Memory
tl;drDigimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition is a collection of two Pokemon-style Monster-Collecting JRPGs set in a slightly-futuristic Tokyo where players dive into a virtual reality/internet to fight with monsters and get to the bottom of the game’s mysteries. This is a solid alternative to Pokemon, and different enough from those games to distinguish itself, although it’s not without its flaws.
Doom Slayers CollectionCompilation / First-Person ShooterB+
Included GamesDoom (1993), Doom II Classic, Doom 64, Doom 3, Doom
tl;drDoom Slayers Collection is a Compilation of 5 games in the Doom series, plus all DLC – this is every major release in the series except Doom Eternal. These are some truly great First-Person Shooters, and while I have some complaints about each of them (especially Doom (2016), which I still argue is just not very good on Nintendo Switch), but small gripes aside this is a great deal on a fantastic collection of First-Person Shooters. If you’re a fan of the genre who somehow missed out on the Doom series prior to this, this package should be considered a must-buy.
Draknek and Friends Puzzle BundleCompilation / PuzzleB+
Included GamesSokobond, A Good Snowman is Hard to Build, Cosmic Express, A Monster’s Expedition
tl;drDraknek and Friends Puzzle Bundle is a Compilation of four solid family-friendly Puzzle games – three of them are different takes on the “block pushing puzzle”, and one that has you creating train routes. The savings over buying the games separately is moderate, but well worth it as there aren’t any stinkers here. This package is a good choice for Puzzle Game fans.
Draknek and Friends Puzzle Bundle (6 Games)Compilation / PuzzleB+
Included GamesSokobond, A Good Snowman is Hard to Build, Cosmic Express, A Monster’s Expedition, Bonfire Peaks, Patrick’s Parabox
tl;drDraknek and Friends Puzzle Bundle (6 Games) is a Compilation of six family-friendly Puzzle games – four of them are different takes on Sokoban-style “block pushing puzzles”, but despite this these games all remain distinct in their own right. The savings over buying the games separately is pretty good, and the overall quality of this bundle is pretty high. This package is definitely worth a look for Puzzle Game fans.
Figment 1 + 2Compilation / Top-Down Action / PuzzleB+
Included GamesFigment, Figment 2: Creed Valley
tl;drFigment 1 + 2 is a Compilation containing the two named games, both family-friendly games that combine Action, Puzzle, and Graphic Adventure elements in an imaginative world set inside the mind. The games are both good, the price is okay, and the sale price is excellent. This is definitely worth getting if you’re a Puzzle game fan, especially if you catch it on sale.
Indie Gems Bundle – Explosions EditionCompilation / Bullet Hell Shmup / Roguelike / 2-Stick Shooter / Match-3 PuzzleB+
Included GamesNeuroVoider, Steredenn: Binary Stars, Transcripted
tl;drIndie Gems Bundle – Explosions Edition is a Compilation of three Action-packed games, each of them ranging from good to great. If you’re a fan of Shmups and 2-Stick shooters, you’re bound to find something to love in this package, even if the savings over purchasing these games individually is minimal.
Klonoa Phantasy Reverie SeriesCompilation / PlatformerB+
Included GamesKlonoa: Door to Phantomile, Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil
tl;drKlonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a Compilation of modern remakes of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil, a pair of charming family-friendly Platformers that both do a superb job of combining 2D gameplay with 3D elements, all wrapped in a presentation that’s absolutely wonderful, if a tad quaint and outdated. There are a few places here or there where I feel like these games could be further improved, and the selling of bonus content for an additional $20 seems unnecessarily greedy, but overall it’s hard to see this Compilation as anything but a wonderful package that any Platformer fan should absolutely snatch up.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade ClassicsCompilation / Fighting GameB+
Included GamesX-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, The Punisher
tl;drMarvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is a Compilation of seven games, mostly in the Fighting Game genre. Almost all of these games are great, but there’s little reason to play the earlier games when this bundle lets you play Marvel vs. Capcom 1 & 2 instead. Add in Arcade Brawler The Punisher, and it really seems like this is a bundle of three games you’ll play and four you’ll probably never go back to. However, the games are so great, with excellent features, superb online play, and an impressive gallery of extra content, that it still makes this a must-have collection for any Fighting Game fan.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2Compilation / Action-PlatformerB+
Included GamesMega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9, Mega Man 10
tl;drMega Man Legacy Collection 2 is a collection of the seventh through the tenth numbered games in this series of Action-Platformers. These games are all pretty good, but none reach the heights of the earlier games in the series, there’s less bonus content than in the first collection, and it’s $5 more. However, it’s still a solid collection of great Action-Platformers with a good amount of bonus content, and fans of the genre would still do well to give it a look.
Mighty Switch Force! CollectionCompilation / Puzzle-PlatformerB+
Included GamesMighty Switch Force!, Mighty Switch Force! 2, Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition, Mighty Switch Force! Academy
tl;drMighty Switch Force! Collection is a Compilation of four family-friendly games in the Mighty Switch Force! Series (well, three games plus one remake), and while each of these games on its own would be a bit too short, together they make for a solid collection with great level design that’s well worth playing.
Monument Valley 1&2 BundleCompilation / Isometric PuzzleB+
Included GamesMonument Valley, Monument Valley 2
tl;drMonument Valley 1&2 Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games, both character-based Isometric Puzzle games with levels seemingly inspired by M.C. Escher art. The games themselves are excellent, even if they’re a bit short and the controls on Nintendo Switch are less than ideal. And this bundle is reasonably-priced, even if it doesn’t offer much in savings. Overall, this is a good choice for Puzzle fans.
Mutant Mudds Collection + XeodrifterCompilation / PlatformerB+
Included GamesMutant Mudds Deluxe, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, Mudd Blocks, Xeodrifter
tl;drMutant Mudds Collection + Xeodrifter is a Compilation of the two named titles, and while these are all excellent Platformers of one kind or another, and this bundle is currently less expensive than getting the games separately, that’s only because the individual games have had their prices raised, meaning you’re still overall getting a bad deal. If you don’t have these games yet, this bundle is still well worth getting, but I can’t give it the same high recommendation I would without all the gross trickery at play here.
My Friend Pedro x Shotgun Cop Man BundleCompilation / Action-Platformer / 2-Stick ShooterB+
Included GamesMy Friend Pedro, Shotgun Cop Man
tl;drMy Friend Pedro x Shotgun Cop Man Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games, both phenomenal Action-Platformer and 2-Stick Shooter titles with ridiculous, joyously fun gameplay. Unfortunately, the price of this bundle just isn’t as good as getting the games individually when they’re on sale, so I suggest you do that instead.
Nintendo LABO Toy-Con 03: Vehicle KitAccessory / Minigame Collection / Party Game / Racing / Open World / Misc.B+
Included GamesSlot Cars, Circuit, Paint Studio, Adventure, Rally, Battle
tl;drNintendo LABO Toy-Con 03: Vehicle Kit is a really unique hybrid of a Minigame Collection, an Open-World Exploration game, a Party game, a series of Accessories you create yourself using the included pieces of custom-made cardboard, and a misc. tool you can use to explore the features of the Nintendo Joy-Con controllers. Furthermore, this game is much better than the previous two in terms of the actual gameplay content it offers, thanks to its Open-World Adventure mode and its overall more cohesive theme. This is definitely one of the better Nintendo LABO kits.
Nintendo LABO Toy-Con 04: VR KitAccessory / Minigame Collection / On-Rails Shooter / Misc.B+
Included GamesVR Plaza, Blaster, Kablasta
tl;drNintendo LABO Toy-Con 04: VR Kit is a really unique hybrid of a Minigame Collection, an On-Rails Shooter, a series of Accessories you create yourself using the included pieces of custom-made cardboard, and a misc. tool you can use to explore the features of the Nintendo Joy-Con controllers, and even a halfway decent beginners’ game design tool. While the Nintendo Switch clearly wasn’t designed with VR in mind, this kit makes it work, albeit in a highly limited fashion, and it’s comparatively cheap compared to more professional VR headsets. Overall, while it isn’t without some major flaws, this is my favorite Nintendo LABO kit, as the Blaster construction and minigame are both my absolute favorite, and this game goes much farther than the others in its game creation tools. If you only get one Nintendo LABO kit, get this one.
Pac-Man Museum+Compilation / ArcadeB+
Included GamesPac & Pal, Pac in Time, Pac-Attack, Pac-Land, Pac-Man, Pac-Man 256, Pac-Man Arrangement, Pac-Man: Battle Royale, Pac-Man: Championship Edition,
tl;drPac-Man Museum+ is a Compilation of 14 games from throughout the Pac-Man franchise. This is an extremely uneven collection stuffed full of middling games, missing extremely important and historic games like Ms. Pac-Man, and including a few real stinkers like Pac-Land. This game also includes a simulated arcade as a framing device that unfortunately bogs everything down and forces players to trudge through its bad games to unlock everything. However, despite all of these issues, $20 for a package that includes Pac-Man: Battle Royale, Pac-Man 256, and Pac-Man: Championship Edition is an absolute steal, and you can just view all that other stuff as extra. If only for these three games, this is a must-have package.
Persona 3 Portable & Persona 4 Golden BundleCompilation / Turn-Based Monster-Collecting JRPGB+
Included GamesPersona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden
tl;drPersona 3 Portable & Persona 4 Golden Bundle is a Compilation of the two named games, both modern remasters of excellent Monster-Collecting Turn-Based JRPGs. Persona 4 Golden is the real star here, though both games are excellent, if a bit dated. Don’t expect to get a big discount buying both together though – the savings you’ll be getting is likely to be counted in cents rather than dollars. However, even with that being the case, this is still a bundle well-worth getting (unless you also want Persona 5 Royal, in which case you should look up the Persona Collection).
Persona CollectionCompilation / Turn-Based Monster-Collecting JRPGB+
Included GamesPersona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5 Royal
tl;drPersona Collection is a Compilation of Persona 3 portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal, all three being excellent Turn-Based Monster-Collecting JRPGs, with the series only getting better as it progresses. These are must-play JRPGs, but it’s hard to say if this bundle is a good deal compared to the individual releases – it depends what’s on sale right now. Keep that in mind when buying, but regardless of how you get them, you should absolutely get these games.
Piczle Puzzle & Watch CollectionCompilation / Picross Puzzle / Puzzle / SimulationB+
Included GamesPiczle Cross, Piczle Pattern, Piczle Loops
tl;drPiczle Puzzle & Watch Collection is a Compilation of three Puzzle games presented as a Simulation of classic Game & Watch-style handheld LCD devices. The Puzzle games are solid, if a bit simple, and have a good amount of content for the $8 price tag. But what’s really surprising here is just how extensive a Simulation this is, going to some extraordinary lengths to make the LCD devices within the game as realistic as possible. If you’re a Puzzle game fan, this is a solid Compilation for you, but if you’re a fan of retro-style nostalgia, you should absolutely give this game a look.
Puzzle Bobble 2X/Bust-a-Move 2 Arcade Edition & Puzzle Bobble 3/Bust-a-Move 3 S-TributeCompilation / Match-3 PuzzleB+
Included GamesPuzzle Bobble 2X/Bust-A-Move 2 Arcade Edition, Puzzle Bobble 3/Bust-a-Move 3
tl;drThis Compilation, which I’m just calling Puzzle Bobble 2X/3 for brevity’s sake, contains those two Puzzle games where players aim colored bubbles at other bubbles to match and clear them. This package has a good amount of content and decent features, and while it’s still lacking a few features we’ve come to expect from other games in this style, it is nevertheless an exceptional pair of Puzzle games well worth picking up.
Quake + Quake II Enhanced BundleCompilation / First-Person ShooterB+
Included GamesQuake, Quake II
tl;drQuake + Quake II Enhanced Bundle is a compilation of the two named games, both remastered ports of classic PC First-Person Shooters. The quality of these ports is among the best we’ve seen of any port to Nintendo Switch, though the games themselves are a bit dated in a way that may not appeal to all First-Person Shooter fans. Still, this bundle is a good value, especially when you consider just how much love and care was put into bringing these games to Nintendo Switch. If you enjoy old-school shooters, this package is a no-brainer.
Risk of Rain 2 + Risk of Rain 1Compilation / Roguelike / Third-Person Shooter / Action-PlatformerB+
Included GamesRisk of Rain, Risk of Rain 2
tl;drRisk of Rain 2 + Risk of Rain 1 is a Compilation available only in physical form containing the two named games, both included on the cartridge. The first game is an Action-Platformer with Roguelike elements, while the second game brings the formula of the first game into 3D as a Third-Person Shooter. These games aren’t without their issues (particularly bullet sponge enemies), but they’re solid action games, and this Compilation is such a good bargain that I would argue that unless you insist on getting your games in digital form, you should absolutely get this package instead of buying either game separately.
Sonic Mania + Team Sonic Racing Double PackCompilation / Platformer / Kart RacingB+
Included GamesSonic Mania, Team Sonic Racing
tl;drSonic Mania + Team Sonic Racing Double Pack is a solid pair of the two named family-friendly titles, an excellent Platformer and a solid Kart Racing game. Both games are on the cartridge, though it bears mention that Sonic Mania does not include the Encore DLC (AKA Sonic Mania+). Still, for what you’re getting, this bundle is an excellent value.
Sonic X Shadow GenerationsCompilation / Platformer / 3D PlatformerB+
Included GamesSonic Generations, Shadow Generations
tl;drSonic X Shadow Generations is an excellent remaster of Sonic Generations, a solid Platformer/3D Platformer, paired with an entirely new Platformer/3D Platformer, Shadow Generations, which despite being short may possibly be the best 3D Sonic game ever made. The Nintendo Switch version suffers a bit from lower framerates than the version of the game on other modern platforms, but otherwise this is an outstanding release that should be considered a must-have for any Sonic fan.
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary CollectionCompilation / Fighting GameB+
Included GamesStreet Fighter, Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha: Warrior’s Dreams, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter III: New Generation, Street Fighter III: Second Impact – Giant Attack, Street Fighter III: Third Strike – Fight For the Future
tl;drStreet Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a collection of four to twelve Fighting games, depending on how you count: Street Fighter, five versions of Street Fighter II, Street Fighter Alpha 1-3, and three versions of Street Fighter III. It’s a sizable collection, and it comes with a sizable number of extras, all for an excellent price of $30. Unfortunately, it’s missing Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max and Upper, as well as Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, and the online play is awful, major flaws that mar this otherwise impeccable collection.
Super Monkey Ball Banana ManiaCompilation / Arcade / Party gameB+
Included GamesSuper Monkey Ball, Super Monkey Ball 2, Super Monkey Ball Deluxe
tl;drSuper Monkey Ball Banana Mania is an Arcade-style game that compiles all of the content of Super Monkey Ball 1, 2, and Deluxe into one cohesive package with remastered visuals, a new soundtrack, new features, and all of the great multiplayer Party games that were in the original releases. It doesn’t do anything especially new or transformative, but it does an excellent job of recapturing the magic that made people fall in love with this series in the first place two decades ago.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga CollectionCompilation / Arcade Brawler / Fighting Game / Action-PlatformerB+
Included GamesTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Arcade), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time (Arcade), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (Super Nintendo), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Super Nintendo), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist (Sega Genesis), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Sega Genesis), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Nintendo Entertainment System), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (Nintendo Entertainment System), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project (Nintendo Entertainment System), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (Nintendo Entertainment System), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan (Game Boy), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back From the Sewers (Game Boy), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Radical Rescue (Game Boy)
tl;drTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection is a Compilation of 13 of Konami’s classic Ninja Turtles games, with the highlights being 2 different versions of the original Arcade game, 2.5 versions of Turtles in Time, and the frequently overlooked NES game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project. Add to this a massive collection of extras and behind-the-scenes content, and this is a must-have collection for Arcade Brawler enthusiasts… even if it’s padded out with a lot of non-Arcade Brawler games that range from mediocre to outright terrible.
Tetris ForeverCompilation / Falling-Block PuzzleB+
Included GamesTetris (Electronika 60), Tetris (MS-DOS) (1985), Igo: Kyu Roban Taikyoku (Famicom), Tetris (MS-DOS) (1988), Tetris (Apple II), Tetris (Famicom), Hatris (Famicom), Hatris (Game Boy), Hatris (Nintendo Entertainment System), Tetris 2 + Bombliss (Famicom), Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss (Super Famicom), Tetris Battle Gaiden (Super Famicom), Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss Genteiban (Super Famicom), Super Tetris 3 (Super Famicom), Super Bombliss (Super Famicom), Super Bombliss (Game Boy), Tetris Time Warp
tl;drTetris Forever is neither a comprehensive collection of Tetris games, nor does it contain the absolute best versions of Tetris among its 17 included games, some of which are very similar to each other, and nearly all of which are family-friendly Falling Block Puzzle games bearing the Tetris name, making this Compilation feel very one-note. However, what’s here is still a compelling mix of different takes on the classic Puzzle game, along with a truly excellent guided tour through the early history of Tetris’ rise to success. Puzzle Game fans and those with a fascination with videogame history should both consider this Compilation a must-have.
The Jackbox Party PackCompilation / Party GamesB+
Included GamesYou Don’t Know Jack 2015, Drawful, Word Spud, Lie Swatter, Fibbage XL
tl;drThe Jackbox Party Pack is a Collection of mostly Trivia-focused Party Games that includes five games that players play using their Smartphone instead of a controller. Two of the games in this collection are phenomenal, and only one of the games here isn’t worth trying. Plus, many of the games included here represent some of Jackbox’s most iconic series, making this first collection one of the best packages they’ve released. All in all, this is a fantastic Party game well worth getting.
The Jackbox Party Pack 2Compilation / Party GamesB+
Included GamesFibbage 2, Earwax, Bidiots, Quiplash XL, Bomb Corp
tl;drThe Jackbox Party Pack 2 is a Collection of Party Games that includes five games that players play using their Smartphone instead of a controller. Two of the games in this collection are fantastic, and only one of the games here isn’t worth trying. Overall, the games in this collection aren’t quite as good as what was in the first Party Pack, but there’s more variety here and this is still a superb collection of Party Games.
Trine Ultimate CollectionCompilation / Puzzle-PlatformerB+
Included GamesTrine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: Artifacts of Power, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince
tl;drTrine Ultimate Collection is a Compilation that includes all four games in the Puzzle-Platformer series about three characters with different abilities using their unique talents to fight enemies and solve puzzles. This is a treasure trove for anyone who enjoys the genre or is looking for a top-notch Co-Op collection for their Switch, with most of these game being visually-stunning as well.
Vasara CollectionCompilation / Bullet Hell ShmupB+
Included GamesVasara, Vasara 2, Vasara Timeless
tl;drVasara Collection is a Compilation of three Bullet Hell Shmups – the two Vasara Arcade games, and Vasara Timeless, a new game introduced in this collection. These are three solid Shmups with some interesting and fairly unique mechanics, and while the high challenge level may make this less appealing to more casual players, the great value this package presents makes it a must-have for Shmup fans.
Voice of Cards TrilogyCompilation / Top-Down Dungeon Crawler / Turn-Based JRPGB+
Included GamesVoice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden, Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden
tl;drVoice of Cards Trilogy is a Compilation containing Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars, Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden, and Voice of Cards: The Beasts of Burden, all games that combine Top-Down Dungeon Crawler and Turn-Based JRPG elements, with a simple card-based presentation narrated by one voice. Each of these games is a solid RPG, and this bundle is a superb value. I absolutely recommend it.
Wargroove + Wargroove 2 BundleCompilation / Turn-Based StrategyB+
Included GamesWargroove, Wargroove 2
tl;drWargroove + Wargroove 2 Bundle is a Compilation of the two named Turn-Based Strategy games that play much like Nintendo’s Advance Wars series. The games are outstanding, but this bundle isn’t an especially good deal. In fact, you’re better off waiting until the individual games go on sale and buying them then.
AAA Clock + Cyber ProtocolCompilation / Turn-Based JRPGB
Included GamesAAA Clock, Cyber Protocol
tl;drAAA Clock + Cyber Protocol is a Compilation of the clock Application AAA Clock and the Puzzle game Cyber Protocol. It’s a strange pairing, and AAA Clock is gimmicky and doesn’t bring much to the table, but if you get this bundle on sale, it’s basically like getting AAA Clock for free along with a solid Puzzle game. Definitely do wait for a sale though – the full price doesn’t offer much in savings over buying these titles separately, and I suspect you’re likely not extremely interested in both.
Atelier Dusk Trilogy Deluxe PackCompilation / Application / Arcade / PuzzleB
Included GamesAtelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk DX, Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky DX, Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea DX
tl;drAtelier Dusk Trilogy Deluxe Pack is a Compilation of upgraded versions of the three games in the Dusk series, the sixth series in the Atelier franchise of crafting-focused JRPGs. This package includes Atelier Ayesha DX, Atelier Escha & Logy DX, and Atelier Shallie DX. If you’re looking to get into the Atelier series but not sure what end of the “time limit” pool you want to hop into, or if you’re just looking for a trio of good crafting-focused Turn-Based JRPGs, Atelier Dusk Trilogy Deluxe Pack is a solid choice, and it’s a decent enough deal that it’s well worth taking the plunge, especially if you can get it on sale.
Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe PackCompilation / Turn-Based JRPGB
Included GamesAtelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book DX, Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey DX, Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings DX
tl;drAtelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack is a Compilation of upgraded versions of the three games in the Dusk series, the seventh series in the Atelier franchise of crafting-focused JRPGs. This package includes Atelier Sophie DX, Atelier Firis DX, and Atelier Lydie & Suelle DX. Lydie & Suelle is probably the best game in this series so far, and Firis is unquestionably the most ambitious entry in the series so far. Sophie is also decent, but extremely bland compared to the others. These games are a bit uneven, but overall still some of the stronger games in the franchise, and this Compilation is a decent value. If you’re a fan of Turn-Based JRPGs, this package is well worth getting.
Blasphemous + Blasphemous 2 BundleCompilation / MetroidvaniaB
Included GamesBlasphemous, Blasphemous 2
tl;drBlasphemous + Blasphemous 2 Bundle is a Compilation of the two named Metroidvania games that draw inspiration from the “Soulslike” genre. The games are very good, albeit made a bit niche due to their high difficulty and grotesque imagery. However, as a bundle, whether this makes for a good value is really going to depend on the price when you get it – you may be better off getting both games separately.
Batman: Arkham TrilogyCompilation / Open-World Action-RPG / MetroidvaniaB
Included GamesBatman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Knight
tl;drBatman: Arkham Trilogy is a Compilation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are incredible, must-play games, two of the greatest games ever made, and these are solid ports. Unfortunately, Arkham Knight is a disappointing sequel, and this port of it is broken and ugly on top of that. This bundle would still easily be worth getting for the first two incredible games, but the $60 price tag is three times what you’d pay to get these two games on any other platform, which makes it hard to recommend this bundle.
Blizzard Arcade CollectionCompilation / Top-Down Racing / Puzzle-Platformer / Action-PlatformerB
Included GamesRPM Racing, Lost Vikings, Rock ‘N’ Roll Racing, BlackThorne, Lost Vikings 2
tl;drBlizzard Arcade Collection is a Compilation of five of Blizzard’s early console games. A few of the games here have aged poorly, but Lost Vikings 1 & 2 are still great Puzzle-Platformers, and Rock ‘N’ Roll Racing is still a superb Top-Down Racing game. What’s more, the improvements made to multiple games in this Compilation ensure that these truly are the definitive versions of these games, and there’s plenty of great bonus content here as well. For the price tag of $20, this is an absolute steal, well worth a look for fans of classic games, or those curious to see games from Blizzard’s early days.
Cat Quest + Cat Quest II: Pawsome PackCompilation / Action-RPGB
Included GamesCat Quest, Cat Quest II
tl;drCat Quest + Cat Quest II: Pawsome Pack is a Compilation of two family-friendly Action-RPGs that simpliy numerous elements of the genre to produce something streamlined and user-friendly, albeit lacking the weight of some of the more impactful games in the genre. This physical compilation is slightly pricier than buying the games separately in digital form, but if you’re looking for a solid pair of Action-RPGs on a cartridge, this Compilation is worth looking into.
Contra X Castlevania BundleCompilation / Action-PlatformerB
Included GamesCastlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Haunted Castle, Haunted Castle Revisited, Contra: Operation Galuga
tl;drContra x Castlevania Bundle includes the Action-Platformer Contra: Operation Galuga, as well as the Compilation of Metroidvania games, Castlevania Dominus Collection. This is an odd pairing, but the games contained within this bundle are mostly all good and well worth playing. This bundle only represents a modest savings over buying the individual games, but if you’re looking to catch up on 2024’s Castlevania/Contra releases, this is a good way to do it.
Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2/3 Bundle!!Compilation / Arcade / SimulationB
Included GamesCook, Serve, Delicious! 2!!, Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?!
tl;drCook, Serve, Delicious! 2/3 Bundle!! contains the two named games, both entries in the Cook, Serve, Delicious series of Arcade-style games with Simulation elements, and both of these games are quite good, with each having their own individual strengths. The bundle is mostly a good deal too, though sometimes the sale price is actually more than the prices of the individual games. Be sure to compare prices before you buy.
Dex & AkaneCompilationB
Included GamesAkane, Dex
tl;drDex & Akane is a Compilation containing the two named games, both very different yet still complimentary. Akane is the clear winner in this package, but the sale price is so good I would argue this bundle is worth picking up even if you’re only interested in one of the games. Keep an eye out for this one to go on sale!
Etrian Odyssey Origins CollectionCompilation / First-Person Dungeon Crawler / Turn-Based JRPGB
Included GamesEtrian Odyssey HD, Etrian Odyssey II HD, Etrian Odyssey III HD
tl;drEtrian Odyssey Origins Collection is a Compilation that includes Etrian Odyssey HD, Etrian Odyssey II HD, and Etrian Odyssey III HD, all games that are remasters of Nintendo DS First-Person Dungeon Crawler Turn-Based JRPGs. The games themselves are excellent, but even remastered their presentation is terribly dated, and they compare pretty poorly with the remakes of two of these games that the Nintendo 3DS got. What’s more, while this bundle costs less than buying the games separately, the price is still a bit high for what’s on offer here. If you’re a fan of this genre, these games are still well worth getting, but it’s far from the triumphant return this franchise deserves.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 1 & 2 – Double PackCompilation / Turn-Based RPGB
Included GamesFuga: Melodies of Steel, Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2
tl;drFuga: Melodies of Steel 1 & 2 – Double Pack is a Compilation of the two named games, both Turn-Based RPGs with a dark but compelling story about children in wartime piloting a massive tank. The games are great, and the bundle is mostly a good deal too (with a minor caveat of one brief time when there was a better alternative). However, barring an opportunity like that, I would argue this bundle is still overall well worth getting, especially for fans of RPGs with a strong strategic component to combat.
Gunman Clive HD CollectionCompilation / Action-PlatformerB
Included GamesGunman Clive, Gunman Clive 2
tl;drGunman Clive HD Collection is a pair of solid action-platformers with a unique cel-shaded “hand-drawn” look. Although the gameplay is fairly simple and straightforward, the game’s stages and bosses can be amusingly creative at times. Definitely worth a look.
Locomalito Arcade LegendsCompilation / Action-Platformer / Bullet Hell ShmupB
Included GamesCursed Castilla, Super Hydorah
tl;drLocomalito Arcade Legends is a Compilation of the Action-Platformer Cursed Castilla and the Bullet Hell Shmup Super Hydorah. Both games mimic a classic 8-bit or 16-bit game, and actually do a surprisingly good job of it, making for a pair of very good games. As for the bundle, the savings here isn’t spectacular, so you might want to weigh this package against the individual games’ sale prices before deciding to buy.
Lunar Remastered CollectionCompilation / Turn-Based JRPGB
Included GamesLunar: The Silver Star Story Complete, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete
tl;drLunar Remastered Collection contains remastered releases of the PlayStation versions of two Turn-Based JRPG classics, Lunar: The Silver Star Story and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue. These releases contain updates and changes with some good and some bad, but mostly these are faithful to the PlayStation releases. And while the original games have aged poorly in some ways (like the simple gameplay), in other ways they’re as delightful as ever (such as the story and characters). If you’ve never played these wonderful classic RPGs, or are looking to get them on a modern platform, this is an overall good remaster.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy CollectionCompilation / Action-RPG / Card RPGB
Included GamesMega Man Battle Network, Mega Man Battle Network 2, Mega Man Battle Network 3: Blue, Mega Man Battle Network 3: White, Mega Man Battle Network 4: Blue Moon, Mega Man Battle Network 4: Red Sun, Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel, Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Protoman, Mega Man Battle Network 6: Cybeast Falzar, Mega Man Battle Network 6: Cybeast Gregar
tl;drMega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection is a Compilation that contains Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 1 and Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 2, which together include Mega Man Battle Network 1-6 (as well as the Pokemon-style nearly-identical pairings of games 3-6). These are all games that mesh together elements of Card RPGs and Action-RPGs, and they are all excellent, though the latter games seem to copy most of their content from the first game and drag their feet when it comes to fixing that game’s problems. This Compilation also comes with an excellent array of bonus content. Unfortunately, at $60 for what amounts to six 15-20 year-old games, this Compilation feels overpriced, especially considering that this isn’t even a comprehensive collection of the franchise. There are still some solid games worth playing here, but I recommend waiting for a decent sale before buying.
Mini Golf & Pool BundleCompilation / Sports (Mini-Golf)B
Included GamesPocket Mini Golf, Pocket Mini Golf 2, Pocket Pool
tl;drMini Golf & Pool Bundle is a Compilation containing Pocket Mini Golf 1 and 2, as well as Pocket Pool, all three games different takes on Mini-Golf (yes, even Pocket Pool). Two of these three games are good, and this bundle is an amazing value. Overall, this is a good bet if you’re wanting to pick up a few smaller Sports games on Nintendo Switch.
New Tales From the Borderlands: Deluxe EditionCompilation / Graphic Adventure / Visual NovelB
Included GamesTales From the Borderlands, New Tales From the Borderlands
tl;drNew Tales From the Borderlands: Deluxe Edition is a Compilation of Tales From the Borderlands and New Tales From the Borderlands, both games that combine Graphic Adventure and Visual Novel elements that tell tales set after the events of Borderlands 2 and 3, respectively. While the first of these two games is definitely the better of the pair, and both games really benefit greatly from the player having completed the associated games, overall this bundle contains a good combination of sci-fi story set in a fascinating world, and it’s a decent enough savings over buying the games separately to make for a decent value. If you’re a fan of the Borderlands franchise and/or Telltale games, this bundle is a good choice.
Ninja Gaiden: Master CollectionCompilation / Spectacle FighterB
Included GamesNinja Gaiden Σ, Ninja Gaiden Σ2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge
tl;drNinja Gaiden: Master Collection is a Compilation of the Spectacle Fighter games Ninja Gaiden Σ, Ninja Gaiden Σ2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. The first game is still good but has aged somewhat, the second game is still one of the greats of the genre even if it has a few flaws, and the third game is… well, not very good. As a Compilation, the Nintendo Switch versions of these games are all missing features that were in earlier versions of the games, but they all run well and are being sold at a pretty reasonable price. If you’re a fan of Spectacle Fighters looking for solid portable versions of these games, I think you’ll be satisfied.
Nintendo LABO Toy-Con 01: Variety KitAccessory / Minigame Collection / Misc.B
Included GamesR.C. Car, Fishing Rod, Aquarium, House, Grand Prix, Stadium, Piano, Recording Studio
tl;drNintendo LABO Toy-Con 01: Variety Kit is a really unique hybrid of a Minigame Collection, a series of Accessories you create yourself using the included pieces of custom-made cardboard, and a Misc. tool you can use to explore the features of the Nintendo Joy-Con controllers. Don’t buy this expecting deep gameplay, and its utility as a controller is somewhat negligible, but it is nevertheless a fun and unique experience that’s like nothing else out there, and well worth giving a try.
Nintendo Switch SportsCompilation / Sports (Various)B
Included GamesBadminton, Bowling, Chambara, Golf, Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball
tl;drNintendo Switch Sports is a worthy successor to the Wii Sports franchise, with excellent versions of Bowling, Chambara (swordfighting), Golf, and Soccer, decent versions of Tennis and Volleyball, and a terrible version of Badminton. The game is colorful and polished, the sports are fun and accessible, and the online play works great. This game doesn’t do much to evolve this series, but it is a well-rounded and highly enjoyable entry in the series nonetheless.
Overboard! & Expelled!Compilation / Visual NovelB
Included GamesOverboard!, Expelled!
tl;drOverboard! & Expelled! is a Compilation of the two named Visual Novel games, both excellent and unique takes on the genre that have players trying to evade the blame for a crime. This bundle’s savings are modest, and if you get the individual games on the rare occasion they go on sale you might get a better deal, but outside of those times this is going to be your best bet for getting both of these games.
Patapon 1+2 ReplayCompilation / Music-Rhythm / Real-Time StrategyB
Included GamesPatapon, Patapon 2
tl;drPatapon 1+2 Replay is a solid remaster of two classic PlayStation Portable games that blend Music-Rhythm gameplay with Real-Time Strategy and some RPG elements. While both the games and the collection have their issues, this is overall well worth a look both for those who’ve never played these games and for those looking to replay them again, and the Nintendo Switch version even has exclusive local wireless multiplayer. Overall this is a good Compilation worth checking out.
Piczle Lines DX BundleCompilation / Numberlink PuzzleB
Included GamesPiczle Lines DX, Piczle Lines DX: 500 More Puzzles!
tl;drPiczle Lines DX Bundle is a pair of Numberlink-style Puzzle games with a good amount of content and features, with each of its two games helping to fill in the gaps of the other. Fans of the genre should definitely give it a look.
Pikmin 1 + 2 BundleCompilation / Real-Time Strategy / Action-RPGB
Included GamesPikmin 1, Pikmin 2
tl;drPikmin 1 + 2 Bundle is a compilation of ports of the first and second games in the Pikmin series, games loosely within the Real-Time Strategy genre that put the focus on exploration and puzzle-solving rather than strategic combat. These ports have some very minor improvements that make this the definitive version of these games, but overall they’re both bare-bones ports. And while this package’s $50 price tag does save you $10 over the price of buying both games separately, it still feels overpriced considering how little effort was made to modernize these games. Make no mistake, the first two Pikmin games are still wonderful, but they deserved a better modern release than this, or at least a cheaper one.
Resident Evil Triple PackCompilation / Third-Person Shooter / HorrorB
Included GamesResident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6
tl;drResident Evil Triple Pack contains Resident Evil 4, 5, 6, and all of their expansion content, although only Resident Evil 4 is on the cartridge, with 5 and 6 requiring a massive 37GB download to play. While these games represent the series’ controversial turn to more action-focused gameplay, that gameplay has aged better than the earlier games in the series, although the Nintendo Switch releases are a mix of good (added gyroscopic controls in 5 and 6, great online co-op in 5 and 6) and bad (no motion controls in 4, terrible framerates in 5 and 6). On the whole, this is still a solid trio of Third-Person Shooters, though it’s debatable whether this Compilation is a better bet than just buying the games individually on the eShop.
Samurai Shodown NEOGEO CollectionCompilation / Fighting GameB
Included GamesSamurai Shodown, Samurai Shodown II, Samurai Shodown III, Samurai Shodown IV, Samurai Shodown V, Samurai Shodown V Special, Samurai Shodown V Perfect
tl;drSamurai Shodown NEOGEO Collection is a Compilation containing Samurai Shodown, Samurai Shodown II, Samurai Shodown III, Samurai Shodown IV, Samurai Shodown V, Samurai Shodown V Special, and exclusive to this bundle, Samurai Shodown V Perfect. These games are a bit dated compared to modern Fighting Games, but they have their charms, and multiple games in the series are different enough that they’re still worth playing separately, plus this bundle comes with plenty of extra content, as well as some extremely nice control options. Just be sure that if you’re getting this, you get the physical version, as the videos included here bloat the file size quite a lot.
Satazius NextCompilation / ShmupB
Included GamesSatazius, Satazius Next
tl;drSatazius Next is a Compilation of Shmups that includes Satazius and its remake, the titular Satazius Next. Both games are equally solid Shmups with a retro feel to them much like Gradius, and if you enjoy this genre you’ll do well to pick this game up.
Sega Genesis ClassicsCompilationB
Included GamesAlex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, Alien Soldier, Alien Storm, Altered Beast, Beyond Oasis, Bio-Hazard Battle, Bonanza Bros., Columns, Columns III, Comix Zone, Crack Down, Decap Attack, Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Dynamite Headdy, Eswat: City Under Siege, Fatal Labyrinth, Flicky, Gain Ground, Galaxy Force II, Golden Axe, Golden Axe II, Golden Axe III, Gunstar Heroes, Kid Chameleon, Landstalker, Light Crusader, Phantasy Star II, Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom, Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium, Ristar, Shadow Dancer, Shining in the Darkness, Shining Force, Shining Force II, Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Spinball, Space Harrier II, Streets of Rage, Streets of Rage II, Streets of Rage 3, Super Thunder Blade, Sword of Vermillion, The Revenge of Shinobi, Toejam & Earl, Toejam & Earl in Panic on Funkatron, Vectorman, Vectorman 2, Virtua Fighter 2
tl;drSega Genesis Classics has a lot of stinkers, but it also has some truly great classic games, and at $30 for 51 games, even with only about a fourth of the games here truly worthy of being called a “classic”, that’s still a good number of games and some great bang for your buck.
Sonic OriginsCompilation / PlatformerB
Included GamesSonic the Hedgehog, Sonic CD, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles
tl;drSonic Origins is a Compilation of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic CD, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles. All versions of the included games here are arguably the best versions of these games ever made, and this Compilation includes a pretty healthy selection of extra features too. Unfortunately, the price tag is outrageous, the multiple versions of Sonic Origins and the microtransactions are sleazy, and the fact that the target audience already owns half of these games on Nintendo Switch makes its value even more suspect. What’s here is very good, but these questions of value really harm this otherwise great Compilation.
Subnautica + Subnautica: Below ZeroCompilation / Open-World First-Person Survival AdventureB
Included GamesSubnautica, Subnautica: Below Zero
tl;drSubnautica + Subnautica: Below Zero is a Compilation of two Open-World First-Person Survival Adventure games that made the transition to Nintendo Switch fairly well, particularly Below Zero. Both games feature massive, beautiful aquatic worlds to explore, but also don’t give players much guidance for where to go to progress. On balance, these are excellent games well worth looking into, but they won’t be for everyone.
Super Hard BundleCompilationB
Included GamesDust & Neon, Super Glitch Dash, Super Impossible Road, Super Mega Zero
tl;drSuper Hard Bundle is a Compilation containing Dust & Neon, Super Glitch Dash, Super Impossible Road, and Super Mega Zero, all very different games, but all good ones, especially Super Mega Zero (the only game in the bunch I would consider especially hard). As for the value of this bundle, that will really depend on whether or not you’re looking at sale price – it’s a huge savings off of the standard price of these games, but not so much when you compare the sale prices. I definitely recommend these four games, but whether you get this bundle will really depend on how dedicated you are to your bargain hunting.
The Jackbox Party Pack 5Compilation / Party GamesB
Included GamesYou Don’t Know Jack: Full Stream, Split the Room, Mad Verse City, Zeeple Dome, Patently Stupid
tl;drThe Jackbox Party Pack 5 is a Collection of Party Games that includes five games that players play using their Smartphone instead of a controller. This is probably the most average collection Jackbox has produced, with five games that are all good but not great, or else games that could have been great, but are held back by a flaw that renders them “decent but could have been better”. Even so, if you’re looking for a good Party Game collection, this package is all around well worth playing.
3 in 1 – Multiplayer BundleCompilationB-
Included GamesOverlanders, Multi Quiz, Retro Game Pack
tl;dr3 in 1 – Multiplayer Bundle is a Compilation that includes Overlanders, Multi Quiz, and Retro Game Pack. Overlanders is the standout here, and also the reason this bundle’s regular price is as high as it is. Still, if you wait for one of this bundle’s regular $2 sales, it’s basically getting a decent racing game for cheap and two other games for no added cost. Not a bad deal, but don’t expect those additional games to add much value here.
Alwa’s CollectionCompilation / MetroidvaniaB-
Included GamesAlwa’s Awakening, Alwa’s Legacy
tl;drAlwa’s Collection is a physical-only Compilation of two solid Metroidvania games, Alwa’s Awakening and Alwa’s Legacy. The games here are solid entries in the genre (though Legacy is clearly the better of the two), but this Compilation’s price means that you’re paying a premium to get the games on a physical cartridge along with some pack-in stickers. For most players, you’re better off just getting the individual games on the eShop.
Anima: Gate of Memories – Arcane EditionCompilation / Spectacle Fighter / Action-RPGB-
Included GamesAnima: Gate of Memories, Anima: Gate of Memories – The Nameless Chronicles
tl;drAnima: Gate of Memories – Arcane Edition is a Compilation of Anima: Gate of Memories and Anima: Gate of Memories – The Nameless Chronicles, both Spectacle Fighters with Action-RPG elements. The second game in this package is definitely the better out of the pair, but the bundle is a decent enough deal that it’s probably worth it to get both so you can see both halves of the story told in these games.
Arcade Classics Anniversary CollectionCompilation / ShmupB-
Included GamesScramble, Twinbee, Nemesis, Life Force, Typhoon, Haunted Castle, Vulcan Venture, Thunder Cross
tl;drArcade Classics Anniversary Collection is a collection of mostly Shmups that includes eight games that are mostly pretty good (and also mostly punishingly difficult). This collection gives players a wealth of options and bonus content, and on the whole this is a solid collection of games for Shmup fans
Arcade Space Shooter 2 in 1Compilation / Arcade / 2-Stick Shooter / ShmupB-
Included GamesSpace Smash, Space War Infinity
tl;drArcade Space Shooter 2 in 1 is a Compilation of the Arcade-style 2-Stick Shooter, Space Smash, and the Shmup, Space War Infinity. Space Smash is a solid low-budget alternative to games like Geometry Wars, and Space War Infinity is a decent but uninspired entry in its genre. However, while neither game on its own is likely to turn heads, the combination of the two in a $4 package is very enticing, and this Compilation is well worth that price.
Arise + What Lies in the Multiverse BundleCompilation / 3D Platformer / Puzzle-PlatformerB-
Included GamesArise: A Simple Story – Definitive Edition, What Lies in the Multiverse
tl;drArise + What Lies in the Multiverse Bundle is a Compilation of the two titular games, both very different kinds of Puzzle-Platformers, but both quite good in their own way. Really, the problem with this bundle isn’t the quality of the content, but the price – at $35, it’s technically slightly more expensive than buying both games separately. With this being the case, while I do recommend both games, I recommend buying them separately, at least unless you get this bundle on sale at a good price.
Astro Aqua Kitty: Pawsome CollectionCompilation / ShmupB-
Included GamesAqua Kitty UDX, Astro Aqua Kitty
tl;drAstro Aqua Kitty: Pawsome Collection is a physical-only Compilation of two Shmups – Aqua Kitty UDX and Astro Aqua Kitty. These games are both quite good, and offer different kinds of experiences, but the price of this bundle is significantly more than the cost of the individual games. Unless you require a physical copy of these games, you’ll save money just getting the digital versions of the games separately.
Cat Quest: The Fur-tastic TrilogyCompilation / Action-RPGB-
Included GamesCat Quest, Cat Quest II, Cat Quest III
tl;drCat Quest: The Fur-tastic Trilogy is a Compilation containing the first three games in the Cat Quest series, all very good Action-RPG games with anthropomorphic animals and tons of puns. Unfortunately, in most cases this bundle is going to be overpriced, and unless you’re willing to spend considerably more for the physical release, you’re much better off getting the individual releases of these games on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
Contra Anniversary CollectionCompilation / Action-PlatformerB-
Included GamesContra (Arcade), Super Contra (Arcade), Contra (NES) (NA), Contra (NES) (J), Super C, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Super Probotector: Alien Rebels, Operation C, Contra: Hard Corps, Probotector
tl;drContra Anniversary Collection is a collection of super-difficult Action-Platformers that includes ten great games from early in the series (well, if we’re honest, it’s more like five games, given that they’re including multiple versions of the same games as different entries). These games are absurdly unforgiving, but they’re still solid classics, and there’s a good amount of bonus content here as well. This collection is worth a look.
Cook, Serve, Delicious! 1/2 Bundle!!Compilation / Arcade / SimulationB-
Included GamesCook, Serve, Delicious!, Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!!
tl;drCook, Serve, Delicious! 1/2 Bundle! contains the first two games in the Cook, Serve, Delicious series of Arcade-style games with Simulation elements, and both of these games are quite good. The bundle, on the other hand, is of dubious value, and you’ll want to compare the price of this bundle to the price of getting each game on its own. You might just find it less expensive to do the latter.
Cook, Serve, Delicious, Trilogy!Compilation / Arcade / SimulationB-
Included GamesCook, Serve, Delicious!, Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!!, Cook, Serve, Delicious! 3?!
tl;drCook, Serve, Delicious, Trilogy! contains the first three games in the Cook, Serve, Delicious series of Arcade-style games with Simulation elements, and all three of these games are quite good. The bundle, on the other hand, is only a good deal if you don’t bother waiting for sales, because its sale price is more than the individual cost of the games when they’re on sale. In other words, if you really want to save money, you’re better off getting the individual games when they go on sale.
Crash Bandicoot – Crashiversary BundleCompilation / 3D Platformer / Kart RacerB-
Included GamesCrash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicoot: WarpedCrash Bandicoot 4: It’s About TimeCrash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
tl;drCrash Bandicoot – Crashiversary Bundle is a Compilation that includes the 3D Platformers Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4, as well as the Kart Racer Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. It’s a solid Compilation that is technically cheaper than getting the games separate, but it’s still absurdly pricey, especially since this package doesn’t contain Crash Team Racing’s Nitrous Oxide content. Still, if you’re interested in getting all of the included content here and don’t really care about the Nitrous Oxide stuff, all of the games included here are solid entries in their respective genres and well worth getting… just take my advice and wait until this package goes on sale.
Defenders of Ekron: Definitive EditionCompilation / 2-Stick Shooter / ShmupB-
Included GamesDefenders of Ekron, Invaders of Ekron
tl;drDefenders of Ekron is a 2-Stick Shooter with Shmup elements that has multiple different gameplay types that makes for some great variety, even if some of the elements don’t quite work as well as you’d want. This Definitive Edition also comes with a “demake” of the game, Invaders of Ekron, that offers a more traditional Shmup experience that makes use of some of the same gameplay elements. It too is a decent if a bit flawed. Overall, this is, well, a decent but flawed pairing of games that is worth a look for fans of these two genres.
Doom + Doom IICompilation / First-Person ShooterB-
Included GamesDoom (1993), Doom II (Classic)
tl;drDoom + Doom II is a Compilation containing the two named games, both First-Person Shooters from the 1990s, with the first being arguably the most influential First-Person Shooter of all time. The two games are still enjoyable today, but this bundle won’t save you a single penny off the separate prices of these games – in fact, it will cost you an extra penny. There are other Doom bundles that can provide more of a savings than this, but I suppose if you want the first two Doom games, and only those two games, this bundle is a sufficient way to get them.
“Edna & Harvey” BundleCompilation / Graphic AdventureB-
Included GamesEdna & Harvey: The Breakout – Anniversary EditionEdna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes
tl;dr“Edna & Harvey” Bundle is a Compilation of two Graphic Adventure games – Edna & Harvey: The Breakout – Anniversary Edition, and its sequel Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes. Between the two, the second game is much better than the first game, which has some major gameplay frustrations. However, the story of the two games is connected, and the bundle is a good enough deal that it really makes sense to get both at once. If you’re looking for a pair of Graphic Adventure games in the style of classics of the genre, and willing to tolerate some gameplay issues in one of them, this bundle is worth getting.
Extreme Speed Bundle Go! Fish Go! Adrenaline Rush, Jet Ski RushCompilation / Auto-RunnerB-
Included GamesAdrenaline Rush – Miami Drive, Go! Fish Go!, Jet Ski Rush
tl;drExtreme Speed Bundle is a Compilation of three family-friendly over-the-shoulder-style Auto-Runner games: Adrenaline Rush – Miami Drive, Go! Fish Go!, and Jet Ski Rush. While Jet Ski Rush isn’t very good, the other games are decent entries in their genre, and this bundle is a decent deal, especially if you catch it on sale. Fans of this genre may want to pick up this package.
Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster CollectionCompilation / Turn-Based JRPGB-
Included GamesFinal Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI
tl;drFinal Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster Collection contains remade versions of the first six mainline Final Fantasy games, all classic Turn-Based JRPGs. The first three games in this bundle have seen the most dramatic improvement, though it’s the final two games that have aged the best, and are still outstanding still to this day. The problem is that the $75 asking price for these games is absurdly high, even in this bundle. Add to that missing content from other re-releases of these games, and it’s hard to justify that price, even despite the high quality of some of the included games here. If you’re a fan of RPGs, this is definitely a collection of games worth getting, but wait until you can get it at a more reasonable price.
Fuze PlayerCompilationB-
Included GamesSuper Mega Arena Blaster, Fast Food Dizzy, 3D Crazy Shooter, Vecroids, Ninja Scroll, Fuze Bounce, Know your Plaice, Asteroid Navigator, Shapes Mini-Game, AnimeUltraHyperJump, Da Bean, Patience Solitaire, Retro Time, Super Funky Bowling, Reversed, Misspelt Poets Society, Pinicity, Watch Out For That Wall!, Ninja Gal, Claw Combine, Golf in Space, White-Out
tl;drFuze Player is a Compilation of 10 various games (with 12 more downloadable for free) that were all included in the Fuze4 Application, but with this game cutting out that release’s ability to create your own games, as well as the ability to download additional games from other creators (albeit all while leaving the vestigial menus largely in place). There’s a lot of jankiness and amateurish design here, and many of the included games are outright terrible. Even the good ones are too short or overly-simple. However, for a mere $1, the good parts of this package feel like they’re well worth the price tag, and there’s a decent enough variety that I think most players will find something here that makes the purchase worthwhile for them.
Hole io & Paper io 2Compilation / ArcadeB-
Included GamesHole io, Paper io 2
tl;drHole io & Paper io 2 includes the two named games, both family-friendly Arcade-style games. These two games aren’t perfect, but they’re still plenty of fun in spite of their flaws, and this bundle is a decent deal on the price of this pair, making it well worth getting.
Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1&2 RemasteredCompilation / Action-RPGB-
Included GamesLegacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2
tl;drLegacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered is a Compilation of remastered versions of the two named games, both Action-RPGs that have aged a bit poorly, but still have a truly excellent world, characters, and story to explore. And it’s hard to think of a better way to explore them than one of the most loving remasters I have ever encountered, full of bonus content. The games themselves may not be for everyone, but this is absolutely the best way to play them.
LEGO Harry Potter CollectionCompilation / 3D Action-PlatformerB-
Included GamesLEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4, LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7
tl;drLEGO Harry Potter Collection is a good Compilation of the two LEGO Harry Potter games, but it’s not a great one. Some performance issues persist, and the preserved lack of continuity between the two included games is disappointing. If you’re a fan of LEGO and/or Harry Potter, you’ll likely still enjoy this, but it definitely feels like it could have been better, especially after all these years since the original releases.
Mary Skelter 2Compilation / First-Person Dungeon Crawler / Turn-Based JRPGB-
Included GamesMary Skelter: Nightmares, Mary Skelter 2
tl;drMary Skelter 2 is a First-Person Dungeon-Crawler that’s similar to Etrian Odyssey, and it’s a great value because the first game has generously been included here as a bonus. However, this game isn’t for everyone – its complex systems, poor pacing, lacking map, odd story, and its clashing and potentially off-putting themes will all add up to an experience that will frustrate or disgust many players. However, those who have the stomach to get through this game’s rough edges will find that it’s deep and rewarding, and at least some of its odd mechanics are inventive. On balance, it’s worth a look, but know what you’re getting into.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 1Compilation / Action-RPG / Card RPGB-
Included GamesMega Man Battle Network, Mega Man Battle Network 2, Mega Man Battle Network 3: Blue, Mega Man Battle Network 3: White
tl;drMega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 1 is a Compilation of the Game Boy Advance games Mega Man Battle Network, Mega Man Battle Network 2, Mega Man Battle Network 3: Blue, and Mega Man Battle Network 3: White, all games that mesh together elements of Card RPGs and Action-RPGs. The games here are excellent, though the latter games seem to copy most of their content from the first game and do little to fix that game’s problems. This Compilation also comes with an excellent array of bonus content. Unfortunately, at $40 for what amounts to three 20 year-old games, this Compilation feels absurdly overpriced.
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 2Compilation / Action-RPG / Card RPGB-
Included GamesMega Man Battle Network 4: Blue Moon, Mega Man Battle Network 4: Red Sun, Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel, Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Protoman, Mega Man Battle Network 6: Cybeast Falzar, Mega Man Battle Network 6: Cybeast Gregar
tl;drMega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 2 is a Compilation of the Game Boy Advance games Mega Man Battle Network 4, 5, and 6 (as well as their Pokemon-style nearly-identical pairings). These are all games that mesh together elements of Card RPGs and Action-RPGs. The games here are excellent, though none of them feel like they’ve grown all that much from the very first Battle Network game. This Compilation also comes with an excellent array of bonus content. Unfortunately, at $40 for what amounts to three 15+ year-old games, this Compilation feels absurdly overpriced.
Nakana Bundle #2 (Mythic Ocean + Journey of the Broken Circle + Cosmic Top Secret)Compilation / VariousB-
Included GamesCosmic Top Secret, Journey of the Broken Circle, Mythic Ocean
tl;drNakana Bundle #2 is a Compilation of Mythic Ocean, Journey of the Broken Circle, and Cosmic Top Secret, three games that share little in common other than their publisher and a desire to tell a story. While I think Mythic Ocean is the star of this Collection, I recognize that all three of these games are fairly unique in ways that mean that whether you like them or not will come down to personal preference. However, at $20, this bundle is priced very nicely, and I suspect that players eager for unique story-focused games will likely find something here to make it well worth that excellent price.
Namco Museum Arcade PacCompilation / Arcade / VariousB-
Included GamesDig Dug, Galaga, Galaga ’88, Pac-Man, Pac-Man Vs., Rolling Thunder, Rolling Thunder 2, Sky Kid, Splatterhouse, Tank Force, The Tower of Druaga, Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus
tl;drNamco Museum Arcade Pac is a physical release that includes the Nintendo Switch version of Namco Museum as well as Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus. This is still an uneven and incomplete collection, but adding these two releases together makes this package an overall much better value, and fans of Namco’s classic arcade games should be happy with it.
Old School RPG BundleCompilation / Turn-Based RPG / Turn-Based Strategy-RPGB-
Included GamesKnights of Pen and Paper +1 Deluxier Edition, Knights of Pen & Paper 2 Deluxiest Edition, Chroma Squad
tl;drOld School RPG Bundle is a Compilation of Knights of Pen & Paper 1 & 2 and Chroma Squad, the first two being Turn-Based RPGs that have players playing an adventuring party in a D&D-esque tabletop game, as well as the characters who are playing that game, and the latter game in the collection being a Turn-Based Strategy RPG about a Power Rangers-esque sentai TV show. The value here is decent, and overall quality here is good, though not without a few caveats. Plus, the variety Chroma Squad brings to this bundle puts it ahead of other Pen and Paper bundles in my estimation. If you’re craving a collection of quirky fourth wall-breaking RPGs, the Old School RPG Bundle should satisfy that craving.
Origamihero Games 2D Platformer CollectionCompilation / Platformer / MetroidvaniaB-
Included GamesSmash Star, Treasure Hunter Man 2, Unstrong Legacy
tl;drOrigamihero Games 2D Platformer Collection includes the Platformer Smash Star, along with the Metroidvania games Treasure Hunter Man 2 and Unstrong Legacy. The Metroidvania games are pretty good, but what’s really special about this package is its outstanding price. For just over $4, this is a solid collection of content well worth getting.
Party Bundle: Ludomania & Flowlines VS & 2048 BattlesCompilation / Puzzle / Board GameB-
Included Games2048 Battles, Flowlines VS, Ludomania
tl;drParty Bundle: Ludomania & Flowlines VS & 2048 Battles is a Compilation of the three named titles, which are mostly pretty good (though Flowlines VS’s control issues are frustrating). There are better games in the style of each of these titles on Nintendo Switch, but what’s here is still pretty good. Oh, and while the $13 price of this bundle saves you a few bucks off the individual prices of these games, you’ll definitely want to pick this up on sale for $2 instead, since it goes on sale every two weeks.
Pen and Paper Games BundleCompilation / Turn-Based RPGB-
Included GamesKnights of Pen and Paper +1 Deluxier Edition, Knights of Pen & Paper 2 Deluxiest Edition, Galaxy of Pen & Paper +1 Edition
tl;drPen & Paper Games Bundle is a Compilation of Knights of Pen & Paper 1 & 2 and Galaxy of Pen & Paper, three Turn-Based RPGs that have players playing an adventuring party in a D&D-esque tabletop game, as well as the characters who are playing that game. Of the three games, Knights of Pen & Paper 2 is the superior one, but this is a good value overall if you’re wanting to get the entire series.
Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet Double PackCompilation / Open-World Turn-Based Monster Collecting JRPGB-
Included GamesPokemon Scarlet, Pokemon Violet
tl;drPokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet Double Pack pairs up both versions of the first true Open-World game in the Pokemon series, which it also introduces multiple new elements to streamline the gameplay, as well as the wealth of strategic opportunities added by the new “tera type” feature. Unfortunately, all of these great qualities are marred by some nasty graphical and performance issues, as well as some gameplay frustrations. This is still one of the best games in the Pokemon franchise, but it’s a great game that is damaged severely by its significant flaws. As for this package, this is a bundle with two copies of the same game, there’s little reason to get it, and it actually costs a tiny bit more than buying the games separately.
Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1: Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle Remastered / Soul Nomad & the World EatersCompilation / Turn-Based Strategy-RPGB-
Included GamesPhantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle Remastered, Soul Nomad & the World Eaters
tl;drNIS Classics Volume 1 is a compilation of two Turn-Based Strategy-RPGs. Phantom Brave is a phenomenal and wildly inventive entry in the genre with compelling gameplay, excellent characters, good music, and a great story. Soul Nomad is also original, but the gameplay isn’t compelling and the characters and story are pretty terrible. Both games also suffer from some pretty nasty-looking low-res 2D characters. While this bundle still might be worth getting just for Phantom Brave, it’s absolutely not worth the $40 price tag, not when the PC version of Phantom Brave is better-looking and half that price.
Puzzle Bundle: Inbento + Golf PeaksCompilation / PuzzleB-
Included GamesInbento, Golf Peaks
tl;drPuzzle Bundle: Inbento + Golf Peaks is a Compilation containing the two named Puzzle games, and while Inbento is definitely the better game between the two, both are enjoyable in their own right. This bundle also offers a decent value, saving you $2 off the cost of buying both budget-priced games separately. If you’re a Puzzle Game fan on Nintendo Switch looking to add a few inexpensive games to your collection, this package is worth looking into.
Resident Evil Revelations CollectionCompilation / Graphic Adventure / HorrorB-
Included GamesResident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil Revelations 2
tl;drResident Evil Revelations Collection is a Compilation that includes Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2, two games that do a good job of balancing the Horror-driven gameplay of the earlier games in the series with the better controls and more modern design of more recent games. However, this collection only includes the first game on the cartridge, meaning that even if you buy this physical release, you’ll still need 24GB on your MicroSDXC card to play both games. In the end, while the value of this collection is debatable, both games included within it are good and well worth playing.
Serious Sam CollectionCompilation / First-Person ShooterB-
Included GamesSerious Sam HD: The First Encounter, Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter, Serious Sam 3: BFE
tl;drSerious Sam Collection is a Compilation of the alien-blasting First-Person Shooters Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter, Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter, and Serious Sam 3 BFE, along with DLC for the latter two games. This isn’t a comprehensive collection, the first two games run well but show their age in multiple ways, and the third game has some severe performance issues due to a shoddy port job. There’s still a lot of old-school fun to be had, and the multiplayer options here are impressive (unless you want to play online or play Serious Sam 3 in Split-Screen multiplayer), but know that the Nintendo Switch version of this collection comes with some severe compromises.
Shmup CollectionCompilation / ShmupB-
Included GamesArmed 7, Armed 7 DX, Satazius, Satazius Next, Wolflame
tl;drShmup Collection is a solid, well-rounded collection of old-school-style Shmups. While Satazius Next is clearly the best of the lot here, all of the games here are at least decent. Fans of the genre should definitely give this collection a look.
Star Wars Heritage PackCompilationB-
Included GamesStar Wars Episode I Racer, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Star Wars: Republic Commando, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
tl;drStar Wars Heritage Pack is a Compilation containing seven remastered Star Wars games, ranging from the still-excellent Knights of the Old Republic games to the highly dated Jedi Knight games. Overall, this is a pretty good mix of games, with this package selling at a decent price. This is well worth a look for Star Wars fans who haven’t gotten these games yet and don’t mind how dated some of these games are, especially if you get this bundle in a good sale.
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic BundleCompilation / RPGB-
Included GamesStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
tl;drStar Wars Knights of the Old Republic Bundle includes the highly-lauded (but somewhat dated) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. These two RPGs are great, but the bundle they’re in isn’t a very good savings. You’ll definitely want to compare them against the price of the individual games before buying.
SteamWorld Build & Dig BundleCompilationB-
Included GamesSteamWorld Build, SteamWorld Dig
tl;drSteamWorld Build & Dig Bundle, is a Compilation containing SteamWorld Build and SteamWorld Dig, two games from the same franchise that play quite differently. Both games are good, but I think Dig is the clear winner here. However, this bundle isn’t a great savings, and you’re probably better off waiting for the individual games to go on sale and just buying them separately.
“The Dark Eye” BundleCompilation / Graphic AdventureB-
Included GamesBlackguards 2, The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav, The Dark Eye: Memoria
tl;dr“The Dark Eye” Bundle includes two Graphic Adventure games: Chains of Satinav and Memoria, as well as one Strategy-RPG, Blackguards 2. While all of these games have their flaws, this bundle helps to even out what’s lacking here, all under a pretty good price. The result is a package that’s definitely worth a look, especially when it goes on sale.
The Lara Croft CollectionCompilation / Action-RPG / 2-Stick Shooter / 3D PlatformerB-
Included GamesLara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
tl;drThe Lara Croft Collection is a Compilation containing Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, two spin-off games that play very differently from the mainline Tomb Raider series. While the platforming and exploration elements are sorely lacking, the action, puzzles, and co-op multiplayer are all good, making this a fun action-focused game, albeit one that’s less ambitious than the mainline Tomb Raider games.
The Making of KaratekaCompilation / Action / Arcade / 2D Space ShooterB-
Included GamesAsteroid Blaster, Star Blaster, Death Bounce (Versions 1-4), Death Bounce: Rebounded, Karateka (Jordan’s Original, Prototype 2, Prototype 3, Apple II, Commodore 64, Atari 8-Bit), Karateka Remastered
tl;drThe Making of Karateka is a Compilation containing multiple versions of Asteroids clone Asteroid Blaster, Asteroids-like Arcade-style Space Shooter Death Bounce, and martial arts-themed Action game Karateka, all of which are pretty terrible by today’s standards (except the brand new reimagined game Death Bounce: Rebounded, which is pretty good). However, despite the games being extremely dated, The Making of Karateka is still an absolute winner thanks to its fascinating and insightful look into the process of creating a game and getting it published. For that reason only, this release is worth picking up.
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara CroftCompilation / Action-RPG / 3D PlatformerB-
Included GamesTomb Raider, Tomb Raider II, Tomb Raider III
tl;drTomb Raider I-III Remastered is a lovingly faithful remaster of the original trilogy of highly-influential Action-RPG 3D Platformers. The way this collection lets players choose classic or modern control schemes, and instantly swap between original visuals and some nice remade visuals is excellent, and the superb level design of the first game in particular still shines through. That said, even the modern controls are still pretty clunky, and there are other design issues here that I wish this release ironed out better. This is still a solid port of three classics (well, one classic and its two sequels), but even with all the additions and polish, the age of these games still shows.
Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus Double PackCompilation / Management SimulationB-
Included GamesTwo Point Hospital, Two Point Campus
tl;drTwo Point Hospital and Two Point Campus Double Pack is a Compilation containing the two named games, both Management Simulations. These are both good but imperfect entries in the genre, and Two Point Hospital is the Jumbo version, including all the extra content. The bundle is a good price too, though players looking to save the most money will want to compare sale prices of the individual games.
Untitled Goose Game & Thank Goodness You’re Here! BundleCompilationB-
Included GamesThank Goodness You’re Here!, Untitled Goose Game
tl;drUntitled Goose Game & Thank Goodness You’re Here! Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games, both excellent and hilarious games well worth getting… but not in this bundle. As a bundle, this pair represents a terrible value and you’re probably better off just getting the games separately on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
World of SolitaireCompilation / Card Game (Solitaire)B-
Included GamesKlondike, Freecell, Spider, Pyramid, and TriPeaks
tl;drWorld of Solitaire is a Compilation that includes five Solitaire games – Klondike, Freecell, Spider, Pyramid, and TriPeaks. While this package has its fair share of flaws, overall the options here are good, the presentation is solid, and the value of the amount of content compared to the price (especially if you get it on sale) is pretty high. If you’re looking for a Compilation of Card Games on Nintendo Switch, this is a good choice.
2 in 1: Trash Punk & Moto Rush GTCompilationC+
Included GamesMoto Rush GT, Trash Punk
tl;dr2 in 1: Trash Punk & Moto Rush GT is a Compilation containing the two named games, both different types of games, but both suffering from tedious repetition. They’re not outright terrible, and this bundle is a good deal, but don’t expect anything particularly compelling here.
2 in 1: Trash Punk & S.N.I.P.E.R – Hunter ScopeCompilationC+
Included GamesS.N.I.P.E.R – Hunter Scope, Trash Punk
tl;dr2 in 1: Trash Punk & S.N.I.P.E.R – Hunter Scope is a Compilation containing the two named games, both different types of games, and while neither is bad, both have issues that keep these games from living up to their full potential. However, if you’re going to get either game, this bundle is a better choice than getting either game on its own.
2 in 1: Trash Punk & Urban FlowCompilationC+
Included GamesTrash Punk, Urban Flow
tl;dr2 in 1: Trash Punk & Urban Flow is a Compilation containing the two named games, both different types of games, but I don’t think either of them is especially great. Still, if you’re looking to get either one of these games, this bundle is better than getting either game individually. Just keep your expectations low if you do.
3 in 1 – Logical BundleCompilation / Puzzle / Card Game (Blackjack)C+
Included GamesHistory 2048, Just Black Jack, Miniature – The Story Puzzle
tl;dr3 in 1 – Logical Bundle is a Compilation of History 2048, Just Black Jack, and Miniature – The Story Puzzle. Just Black Jack is a terrible version of the Card Game, but the other two games are decent Puzzle games that are reasonably enjoyable, though both have their flaws too. This bundle is a decent deal too, though it’s even more so if you get it on sale. At the low price of $2, it should be worth overlooking the flawed parts of this bundle to enjoy the decent Puzzle games within.
A Ch’ti BundleCompilation / Puzzle-Platformer / Platformer / Music-RhythmC+
Included GamesEthan: Meteor Hunter, Inside My Radio
tl;drEthan: Meteor Hunter is a mediocre Puzzle-Platformer, but Inside My Radio is a decent Platformer with Music-Rhythm elements. However, since you can get Inside My Radio separately, you’re probably better off just doing that.
Action Games BundleCompilationC+
Included GamesDeflector, Syndrome, Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron
tl;drAction Games Bundle is a Compilation containing Deflector, Syndrome, and Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron, three very different games. Of the trio, only Deflector is particularly good, but this bundle may still be worth getting anyway – when it goes on sale, it regularly drops to the rock-bottom $2 price tag, meaning if you’re getting Deflector, this bundle gives you the other two games at no added cost. However, this is still a pretty uneven package.
Amnesia: CollectionCompilation / First-Person HorrorC+
Included GamesAmnesia: The Dark Descent, Amnesia: Justine, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
tl;drAmnesia: Collection is a compilation of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Amnesia: Justine, and Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs. The Nintendo Switch version of these games suffers from graphical issues and doesn’t make use of the console’s unique features, and some elements of these games have aged poorly, but overall it’s still a solid trio of First-Person Horror games worth playing, especially for fans of the genre.
Armed 7 DXCompilation / Bullet Hell ShmupC+
Included GamesArmed Seven, Armed 7 DX
tl;drArmed 7 DX is a Compilation of Shmups that includes Armed Seven and its remake, the titular Armed 7 DX. Between the two, I actually prefer the original, but both are good Shmups, if a bit flawed due to some awkward control issues.
Assassin’s Creed III RemasteredCompilation / Stealth / Open-World Action-RPGC+
Included GamesAssassin’s Creed III, Assassin’s Creed Liberation
tl;drAssassin’s Creed III Remastered is a Compilation of Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Liberation that’s more of a high-resolution port of the originals than a remaster. These games have a lot to offer, but they also come with a lot of frustrations as well, with everything from poor pacing, frustrating game design, control issues, game crashes, and graphical issues, to name a few. However, for those who are patient enough to deal with all that, there are definitely some incredible moments here, such as Assassin’s Creed III’s excellent world-building and sailing.
Atari Flashback ClassicsCompilation / ArcadeC+
Included Games3-D Tic-Tac-Toe (Atari 2600), Adventure (Atari 2600), Adventure II (Atari 2600, originally unreleased), Air Raiders (Atari 2600), Air-Sea Battle (Atari 2600), Aquaventure (Atari 2600), Armor Ambush (Atari 2600), Asteroids (Arcade, Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Asteroids Deluxe (Arcade), Astroblast (Atari 2600), Atari Video Cube (Atari 2600), Avalanche (Arcade), Backgammon (Atari 2600), Baseball (Arcade), Basic Math (Atari 2600), Basketball (Arcade, Atari 2600), Black Widow (Arcade), Blackjack (Atari 2600), Bowling (Atari 2600), Brain Games (Atari 2600), Breakout (Atari 2600), Canyon Bomber (Arcade, Atari 2600), Casino (Atari 2600), Centipede (Arcade, Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Championship Soccer (Atari 2600), Circus Atari (Atari 2600), Codebreaker (Atari 2600), Combat (Atari 2600), Combat Two (Atari 2600, originally unreleased), Concentration (Atari 2600), Countermeasure (Atari 5200), Crystal Castles (Arcade, Atari 2600), Dark Cavern (Night Stalker) (Atari 2600), Demons to Diamonds (Atari 2600), Desert Falcon (Atari 2600), Destroyer (Arcade), Dodge ‘Em (Atari 2600), Dominos (Arcade), Double Dunk (Atari 2600), Fatal Run (Atari 2600), Final Legacy (Atari 5200), Fire Truck AKA Smokey Joe (Arcade), Flag Capture (Atari 2600), Football (Arcade, Atari 2600), Frog Pond (Atari 2600), Frogs and Flies (Atari 2600), Golf (Atari 2600), Gravitar (Arcade, Atari 2600), Hangman (Atari 2600), Haunted House (Atari 2600), Holey Moley (Atari 2600), Home Run (Atari 2600), Human Cannonball (Atari 2600), International Soccer (Atari 2600), Liberator (Arcade), Lunar Lander (Arcade), Major Havoc (Arcade), Maze Craze (Atari 2600), Maze Invaders (Arcade), Micro-gammon (Atari 5200), Millipede (Arcade, Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Miniature Golf (Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Missile Command (Arcade, Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Monte Carlo (Arcade), MotoRodeo (Atari 2600), Night Driver (Atari 2600), Off the Wall (Atari 2600), Outlaw (Atari 2600), Pong (Arcade), Pong Sports (Atari 2600), Pool Shark (Arcade), Quadrun (Atari 2600), Race (Atari 2600), Radar Lock (Atari 2600), Realsports Baseball (Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Realsports Basketball (Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Realsports Boxing (Atari 2600), Realsports Football (Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Realsports Soccer (Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Realsports Tennis (Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Realsports Volleyball (Atari 2600), Red Baron (Arcade), Return to Haunted House (Atari 2600, originally unreleased), Saboteur (Atari 2600), Save Mary (Atari 2600), Sea Battle (Atari 2600), Secret Quest (Atari 2600), Sentinel (Atari 2600), Sky Diver (Arcade, Atari 2600), Slot Machine (Atari 2600), Slot Racers (Atari 2600), Soccer (Arcade), Space Attack (Atari 2600), Space Duel (Arcade), Space War (Atari 2600), Sprint 2 (Arcade), Sprint Master (Atari 2600), Star Raiders (Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Star Ship (Atari 2600), Star Strike (Atari 2600), Steeplechase (Atari 2600), Stellar Track (Atari 2600), Street Racer (Atari 2600), Stunt Cycle (Atari 2600), Submarine Commander (Atari 2600), Super Baseball (Atari 2600), Super Breakout (Arcade, Atari 2600, Atari 5200), Super Challenge Baseball (Atari 2600), Super Challenge Football (Atari 2600), Super Football (Atari 2600), Super Bug (Arcade), Surround (Atari 2600), Swordfight (Atari 2600), Swordquest: Earthworld (Atari 2600), Swordquest: Fireworld (Atari 2600), Swordquest: Waterworld (Atari 2600), Tempest (Arcade, Atari 2600), Video Checkers (Atari 2600), Video Chess (Atari 2600), Video Pinball (Atari 2600), Warlords (Arcade, Atari 2600), Wizard (Atari 2600), Yars’ Return (Atari 2600, originally unreleased), Yars’ Revenge (Atari 2600)
tl;drAtari Flashback Classics is a Compilation of 150 Atari games dating back over 50 years, with classic Arcade, Atari 2600, and Atari 5200 games. Most of these games are complete garbage and not worth playing, but a select few have managed to withstand the test of time. If only for these true classics, this is a Compilation that retro gamers will want to try.
Atelier Arland Series Deluxe PackCompilation / Turn-Based JRPGC+
Included GamesAtelier Rorona ~The Alchemist of Arland~ DX, Atelier Totori ~The Adventurer of Arland~ DX, Atelier Meruru ~The Apprentice of Arland~ DX
tl;drAtelier Arland Series Deluxe Pack is a Compilation of upgraded versions of the first three games in the Arland series, the fifth series in the Atelier franchise of crafting-focused JRPGs. This package includes Atelier Rorona DX, Atelier Totori DX, and Atelier Meruru DX (not included here is Atelier Lulua, a later entry in the Arland series). The Arland series is not going to appeal to everyone due to its adherence to in-game deadlines for quests and objectives, and there’s a good argument to be made that players may want to just skip ahead to Atelier Meruru, by far the best in the trilogy. However, players wanting to partake in the entire trilogy will find this compilation to be an excellent deal on some charming Turn-Based JRPGs.
Baten Kaitos I & II HD RemasterCompilation / Turn-Based Card JRPGC+
Included GamesBaten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean (AKA Baten Kaitos I), Baten Kaitos Origins (AKA Baten Kaitos II)
tl;drBaten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster is a pair of remastered remakes of GameCube Turn-Based Card JRPGs. I commend these games for trying something unique within the genre, and these remasters do a mostly good job of bringing the presentation up to more modern standards, but at their core these two games are very difficult to love, with overly-complex gameplay and stories that either feature an unlikeable protagonist or are just poorly-told. JRPG fans may still want to try these games out, but they are absolutely not something everyone will appreciate.
Between Horizons + Lacuna BundleCompilation / Graphic AdventureC+
Included GamesLacuna, Between Horizons
tl;drBetween Horizons + Lacuna Bundle is a Compilation of the two named Graphic Adventure games. This is a decent (but not great) deal over getting the games individually, but when Lacuna is the clearly superior game between the two and it regularly goes on sale for a rock-bottom $2, I think that unless you absolutely must have both games, you should skip this bundle and just get Lacuna on its own.
Blazing Beaks + Badland: Game of the Year Edition BundleCompilationC+
Included GamesBlazing Beaks, Badland: Game of the Year Edition
tl;drBlazing Beaks + Badland: Game of the Year Edition Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games, both different types of games, and each suffering from its own problems. Plus, this bundle doesn’t really add value to entire you to buy both games together. Overall, while I don’t think this is a terrible pair of games, I do think you can do better on Nintendo Switch.
Castle of Heart + Jet Kave Adventure BundleCompilation / PlatformerC+
Included GamesCastle of Heart, Jet Kave Adventure
tl;drCastle of Heart + Jet Kave Adventure Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games, each a different type of Platformer. However, of the two only Jet Kave Adventure is really worth bothering with. To its credit, when this bundle goes on sale it may be worth picking up despite this, since it won’t cost much more than Jet Kave Adventure on its own, possibly even the same price. However, I definitely don’t recommend you to get this at full price.
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers EditionCompilation / Turn-Based JRPG / Visual NovelC+
Included GamesChrono Cross, Radical Dreamers
tl;drChrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is a Compilation of the Turn-Based JRPG Chrono Cross and the previously Japan-only Visual Novel Radical Dreamers. Chrono Cross was and remains a great JRPG, albeit one with some major flaws. On the other hand, Radical Dreamers is a deeply flawed Visual Novel. And this port of the two games has its ups and downs – the presentation is improved, but the performance for Chrono Cross is actually worse than the PlayStation original. As a result, this is still a modern release of a flawed classic that’s still worth playing, but one that has major flaws of its own.
Citizen Sleeper: Helion CollectionCompilation / Visual Novel / RPGC+
Included GamesCitizen Sleeper, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector
tl;drCitizen Sleeper: Helion Collection is a Compilation containing Citizen Sleeper 1 and 2, both games that blend RPG and Visual Novel elements set in a cold dystopian future. These aren’t games that everyone will enjoy, and I believe that the minimal savings present in this bundle aren’t worth taking the risk that you might not enjoy these games. You’re better off trying one first to see if this series is to your liking.
Contra Run & Gun BundleCompilation / Action-PlatformerC+
Included GamesContra (Arcade), Super Contra (Arcade), Contra (NES) (NA), Contra (NES) (J), Super C, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Super Probotector: Alien Rebels, Operation C, Contra: Hard Corps, Probotector, Contra: Operation Galuga
tl;drContra Run & Gun Bundle includes the Action-Platformer Contra: Operation Galuga, as well as the Compilation of Action-Platformers, Contra Anniversary Collection. Pretty much everything in this bundle is good, if a bit overly-hard. However, one of the two included games goes on sale regularly, resulting in a better price buying the games separately than you can get in this bundle. The result is a good bundle whose value leaves something to be desired.
Cooking Tycoons 3-in-1 BundleCompilation / ArcadeC+
Included GamesFood Truck Tycoon, Burger Chef Tycoon, Pizza Bar Tycoon
tl;drCooking Tycoons 3-in-1 Bundle is a Compilation of three Arcade-style restaurant-themed games where players rush to fill the correct orders. It’s decent, but Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! offers more depth and variety in one game than all three of these combined, and at the same price.
Cooking Tycoons 2 – 3 in 1 BundleCompilation / ArcadeC+
Included GamesBreakfast Bar Tycoon, Food Truck Tycoon – Asian Cuisine, Sushi Time!
tl;drCooking Tycoons 2 – 3 in 1 Bundle contains three Arcade-style games in the “restaurant tycoon” style (without Simulation elements). All three games are decent but mostly not great, but that’s made up for somewhat by this package being a pretty good value. Unfortunately for this package, Cooking Arena – 10 in 1 Edition offers a much better value, and if you want the games in this bundle you’re better off getting that bundle instead.
Couch Co-Op Bundle Vol. 2Compilation / Shmup / Roguelike / Action-PlatformerC+
Included GamesBlack Paradox, Bleed 2, Shikhondo – Soul Eater, Vertical Drop Heroes HD
tl;drThe Couch Co-Op Bundle Vol. 2 is a Compilation of Black Paradox, Bleed 2, Shikhondo – Soul Eater, and Vertical Drop Heroes HD. This is a decent selection of games with a modest discount, but there’s nothing to get super-excited about here. If you’re looking to fill out the co-op action games in your Nintendo Switch library you may want to give this bundle a shot, but don’t set your expectations too high.
Digerati Indie Bundle: Ink & Hacky ZackCompilation / PlatformerC+
Included GamesInk, Hacky Zack
tl;drDigerati Indie Bundle: Ink & Hacky Zack is a compilation of two challenging Platformers. Both games are very difficult, but if that’s your thing, this package is worth a look, especially if you get it on sale.
Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion KingCompilation / PlatformerC+
Included GamesAladdin (Genesis, Genesis (Final Cut version), Genesis (Demo Version), Game Boy, Game Boy (Colorized)), The Lion King (Super Nintendo, Super Nintendo (Japanese version), Genesis, Game Boy, Game Boy (Colorized))
tl;drAladdin and The Lion King are a pair of classic Platformers, each with visuals and animation that have aged extremely well, but the gameplay hasn’t been quite so lucky. They’re presented here in a package that includes multiple versions of each game (though you’ll likely only want to play one version of each), and with a huge assortment of options and extra features, but at a ridiculous price. This is a package that should please fans of the original games and those looking for insights into graphic design and animation, but everyone else is better off staying away from this one.
Dungeons & Dragons BundleCompilation / RPGC+
Included GamesBaldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Editions, Planescape Torment and Icewind Dale: Enhanced Editions, Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition
tl;drDungeons & Dragons Bundle is a Compilation that includes Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Editions, Planescape: Torment and Icewind Dale: Enhanced Editions, and Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition. These are all legendary PC RPGs, that sadly just do not play well at all on a console using a controller. However, if you are determined to get these games on Nintendo Switch, this package will save you $50 compared to the cost of buying these games separately. I highly encourage you to play these games on PC instead, but if you absolutely need to play them on Nintendo Switch, this package is definitely the way to go.
Framed CollectionCompilation / Graphic PuzzleC+
Included GamesFramed, Framed 2
tl;drFramed Collection is a pair of puzzle games where you’re moving around frames of a comic to make sure the hero survives the story. It’s a great concept with an amazing presentation, but the gameplay makes it frequently frustrating and tedious.
Freedom Planet 1 + 2 BundleCompilation / 2D Space Shooter / Roguelike / Turn-Based StrategyC+
Included GamesFreedom Planet, Freedom Planet 2
tl;drFreedom Planet 1 + 2 Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games, both Sonic the Hedgehog-style Platformers. The games are great, but this bundle’s price doesn’t really justify buying them together like this. Wait for the individual games to go on sale and buy them separately instead – you’ll save a lot more money.
Front Mission Remake TrilogyCompilation / Turn-Based Strategy-RPGC+
Included GamesFront Mission 1st: Remake, Front Mission 2: Remake, Front Mission 3: Remake
tl;dr Front Mission Remake Trilogy is a Compilation containing remakes of the first three mainline Front Mission games, all of which are Turn-Based Strategy-RPG games focusing on mech combat. The remakes are mostly good, but the games suffer due to an adherence to a body part damage system that results in combat being far too luck-based. Plus, as a bundle, while this package is normally a good deal, it loses out when comparing sale prices of the individual games. As such, I don’t think this is a good choice unless you’re a fan of mechs and Strategy-RPG games, and only then if this bundle finally gets a good sale price.
Galak-Z: The Void and Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition Platinum PackCompilation / 2D Space Shooter / Roguelike / Turn-Based StrategyC+
Included GamesGalak-Z: The Void: Deluxe Edition, Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition
tl;drGalak-Z: The Void and Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition Platinum Pack is a Compilation containing the two named titles, the excellent 2D Space Shooter and Roguelike Galak-Z, and the mediocre Turn-Based Strategy Skulls of the Shogun. However, even if you want both of these games, the price of this bundle makes it a pretty poor value. Unless you absolutely must have these games in physical form, you’re better off getting the digital versions of these games on sale instead.
Golf Club Nostalgia & The Cub BundleCompilationC+
Included GamesGolf Club Wasteland, The Cub
tl;drGolf Club Nostalgia & The Cub Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games. Both of these games are worth playing, though mainly for the satire and social commentary rather than the gameplay. And this bundle is a good deal on the pair. Overall, this is a decent package, even if the individual games have their flaws.
Grandia HD CollectionCompilation / Turn-Based JRPGC+
Included GamesGrandia, Grandia II
tl;drGrandia HD Collection is a Compilation of two Turn-Based JRPGs, Grandia and Grandia II, with improved resolution and framerates. However, even those improvements do little to hide how outdated these games are, and the price tag for these old games is too high for a package so lacking in features. Fans of the genre may still want to pick up these classics, but those who don’t have nostalgia for the original games will probably want to skip them.
JALECOlle Famicom Ver. Pinball QuestCompilation / Pinball / RPGC+
Included GamesViva! Golf, Pop! Pop!, Circus, RPG Mode
tl;drPinball Quest is a Compilation of multiple Pinball tables, including one that’s extended into a full RPG-style quest. There are issues with the game’s physics and punishing late-game difficulty, but it’s still a fun and unique combination of its respective genres, and this release includes a surprisingly good amount of extra features. This won’t be for everyone, but players curious about the interesting combination of elements may want to try it.
Knights of Pen and Paper BundleCompilation / Turn-Based RPGC+
Included GamesKnights of Pen and Paper +1 Deluxier Edition, Knights of Pen & Paper 2 Deluxiest Edition
tl;drKnights of Pen & Paper Bundle is a Compilation of Knights of Pen & Paper 1 & 2, two Turn-Based RPGs that have players playing an adventuring party in a D&D-esque tabletop game, as well as the characters who are playing that game. Of the two games, Knights of Pen & Paper 2 is the superior one, and there doesn’t seem much reason to even bother with the first one if you can just get the second one separately. Or at the very least, you could get one of the other bundles that include more games from the series. In either case, it’s hard to recommend this bundle, as you have better options to play these games.
Langrisser I & IICompilation / Turn-Based Strategy-RPGC+
Included GamesLangrisser, Langrisser II
tl;drLangrisser I & II is a Compilation and Remake of two classic Strategy-RPGs originally released on the Sega Genesis, with gameplay similar to the Fire Emblem series, albeit with some unique mechanics of its own that set it apart. Unfortunately, some game design issues, dumb AI, and poorly-conveyed game mechanics make this collection less enjoyable than it could’ve been, and the $50 price tag seems a bit steep for two 25 year-old games. For genre fans, it’s still worth a look, but definitely know what you’re getting into before you get started.
Little Nightmares I & II BundleCompilation / Puzzle-PlatformerC+
Included GamesLittle Nightmares Complete Edition, Little Nightmares II
tl;drLittle Nightmares I & II Bundle is a Compilation that includes the two titular Puzzle-Platformers. Both games feature some solid puzzles and some wonderfully dark atmosphere, but the gameplay here isn’t quite on par with the likes of Limbo and Inside. However, if you’re looking to get into this series, this is a decent bundle that gives you a bit of a discount, and may be worth it for fans of the genre who have already played those other two great games.
Lost Phone StoriesCompilation / Visual Novel / SimulationC+
Included GamesA Normal Lost Phone, Another Lost Phone: Laura’s Story
tl;drLost Phone Stories is a Compilation that includes A Normal Lost Phone and Another Lost Phone: Laura’s Story, two Visual Novels presented as a simulation of a missing smartphone players are trying to investigate to learn about its owner. Both stories are compelling and down-to-Earth, but will likely require a walkthrough to get past their puzzles, and the gameplay here was clearly intended for play using the touchscreen in handheld mode or, more appropriately, played on an actual Smartphone. However, if you can get past those issues, Lost Phone Stories is well worth playing.
NEOGEO Pocket Color Collection, Vol. 2Compilation / Misc.C+
Included GamesBaseball Stars Color, Big Bang Pro Wrestling, Biomotor Unitron, Ganbare Neo Poke-Kun, Mega Man Battle & Fighters, NEOGEO Cup ’98 Plus Color, Puzzle Link 2, Pocket Tennis Color, SNK Vs. Capcom Card Fighters’ Clash, The King of Fighters Battle de Paradise
tl;drNEOGEO Pocket Color Collection, Vol. 2 is a Compilation of 10 games from SNK’s 1999-2000-era handheld game platform, and this second collection fares better than the first, with four of the included games being worth playing, including what I would argue is the best game on the platform, SNK Vs. Capcom Card Fighters’ Clash. However, there’s still so much trash here that most players will be better off just getting Card Fighters’ Clash on its own and skipping this bundle.
Nerdook Bundle Vol. 1CompilationC+
Included GamesMonster Slayers, Reverse Crawl, Vertical Drop Heroes HD
tl;drNerdook Bundle Vol. 1 is a collection of three games from developer Nerdook, each in a different genre, but all of them sharing a similar presentation. Unfortunately, that presentation is fairly forgettable, and while each of the games in this collection is decent, none is truly spectacular and two of them are actually very similar to other, much better, games. If you want to save money this collection is okay, but you may be better off looking at those better games instead.
Oddworld CollectionCompilation / Puzzle-Platformer / 3D Platformer / First-Person Shooter / 3D Action-PlatformerC+
Included GamesOddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty, Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee, Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD
tl;drOddworld Collection is a physical-only Compilation that includes Oddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty, Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee, and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath. While all three games are creative and have a great world and enjoyable characters, all three games suffer from gameplay issues, and the latter two games in particular are marred by a horrendously bad camera. You probably won’t want to get this package unless you’re a big fan of the series looking to get these games on Nintendo Switch.
Planetarian: The Reverie of a Little Planet & Snow GlobeCompilation / Visual NovelC+
Included GamesPlanetarian, Planetarian: Snow Globe
tl;dr Planetarian: The Reverie of a Little Planet & Snow Globe is a Compilation of Planetarian and its smaller prequel, both Visual Novel games about a human-like robot working in a planetarium. These games won’t be for everyone, but some may enjoy the mix of elements they present. However, if you want to give these two a try you’re better off buying them separately – this bundle won’t save you anything off the price of both games combined, and it’s better if you try the first game before seeing if you should even bother getting the prequel.
RetroRealms Double Feature: Halloween and Ash vs Evil DeadCompilation / Action-PlatformerC+
Included GamesRetroRealms: Ash vs Evil Dead, RetroRealms: Halloween
tl;drRetroRealms Double Feature: Halloween and Ash vs Evil Dead is a Compilation of RetroRealms: Halloween and RetroRealms: Ash vs Evil Dead, both similar Action-Platformers that are decent but nothing special other than being based on well-established Horror film franchises. This is a decent bundle of the two games, but not enough to overcome the games’ middling quality, and unless you’re a fan of the franchises these games represent, you’re better off just getting better games in the genre.
Sausage Bundle: Till the Last Drop of KetchupCompilationC+
Included GamesRun Sausage Run! and Sausage Wars
tl;drSausage Bundle: Till the Last Drop of Ketchup is a Compilation containing two silly sausage-themed games, Run Sausage Run! and Sausage Wars. Neither of these games is exceptional, though they can both be enjoyable in short bursts, and this bundle is a decent value compared to buying the games on their own. I wouldn’t go so far as to recommend this, but I could see some players feeling they got their money’s worth out of this.
Scribblenauts Mega PackCompilation / Action-RPGC+
Included GamesScribblenauts Unlimited, Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure
tl;drScribblenauts Mega Pack is a Compilation of Scribblenauts Unlimited and Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure, two family-friendly Action-RPGs that have players jotting down words to create solutions to puzzles. These games are still as good as they ever were, but the novelty wore off a long time ago, and now I think the only ones likely to be impressed by these games are those who haven’t played this series before. If that’s you, definitely give these games a try. Otherwise, well, you know the drill.
Sega Ages Columns II: A Voyage Through TimeCompilation / Match-3 Falling Block PuzzleC+
Included GamesColumns, Columns II: A Voyage Through Time
tl;drSega Ages Columns II marks the first time this 1990 arcade Match-3 Falling Block Puzzle game has been released stateside, and what’s more, it comes with the original Columns and a slew of game modes and options. This is a phenomenal port, but sadly it’s a fantastic port of two mediocre Puzzle games. Fans of the genre and collectors may find some interest in this release, but others are better off looking to better games in the genre.
SNK 40th Anniversary CollectionCompilation / ArcadeC+
Included GamesAlpha Mission (Arcade), Alpha Mission (Console), Athena (Arcade), Athena (Console), Beast Busters, Bermuda Triangle, Chopper, Crystalis, Fantasy, Guerilla War (Arcade), Guerilla War (Console), Ikari Warriors (Arcade), Ikari Warriors (Console), Ikari Warriors II: Victory Road (Arcade), Ikari Warriors II: Victory Road (Console), Ikari III: The Rescue (Arcade), Ikari III: The Rescue (Console), Iron Tank: The Invasion of Normandy, Munch Mobile, Ozma Wars, Paddle Mania, P.O.W. (Arcade), P.O.W. (Console), Prehistoric Isle, Psycho Soldier, SAR: Search and Rescue, Sasuke Vs Commander, Street Smart, Time Soldiers, TNK III, Vanguard, World Wars
tl;drSNK 40th Anniversary Collection is a selection of 32 classic SNK games released prior to the Neo Geo, mostly arcade games with a few Nintendo Entertainment System games as well, with the games being mostly 2-Stick Shooters, Shmups, and Top-Down Action games. There’s a lot of trash to wade through in this collection, but there are a handful of real gems too, and a healthy helping of game options and bonus content. If you’re a fan of classic games, specifically the genres I named above, this collection may be worth your while.
Star Wars Racer and Commando ComboCompilation / Futuristic Racing / First-Person ShooterC+
Included GamesStar Wars Episode I Racer and Star Wars: Republic Commando
tl;drStar Wars Racer and Commando Combo is a Compilation of Star Wars Episode I Racer, a Futuristic Racing game, and Star Wars: Republic Commando, a First-Person Shooter. Both of these games are decent but unspectacular, with dated visuals, and the overall package costs the same as buying the games separately. How much value this Compilation has will really depend on your nostalgia for the original games, your love for the Star Wars franchise, and how important it is to get both of these games in physical form.
Tower Defense BundleCompilation / Tower DefenseC+
Included GamesFantasy Tower Defense, Royal Tower Defense
tl;drTower Defense Bundle is a Compilation of Fantasy Tower Defense and Royal Tower Defense, two of the blandest Tower Defense games I’ve ever played, in a bundle that’s actually ripping you off unless you get it during a sale. Even then, I think you may be better off saving your money for an actually good Tower Defense game instead.
Trine Series 1-3Compilation / Puzzle-PlatformerC+
Included GamesTrine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: Artifacts of Power
tl;drTrine Series 1-3 is a compilation of the first three games in the series on one physical cartridge. However, since Trine Ultimate Collection contains the first four games, the only people who will benefit from buying this game now are collectors and players who absolutely need to get physical copies of their games. For those players, this is a decent trilogy of games… but for most it’s going to be a far better idea to skip this and get the Ultimate Collection.
#1 Anagrams Sudokus BundleCompilation / PuzzleC
Included Games#1 Anagrams, #1 Sudokus
tl;dr#1 Anagrams Sudokus Bundle is a Compilation containing two Puzzle games: #1 Anagrams and #1 Sudoku. Neither of these games is especially great, and while this bundle does offer some decent savings over the price of getting these games separately, I don’t know that $6 for two sub-par games really sounds all that much better than $8 for two sub-par games.
4×4 OffRoad CollectionCompilation / Off-Road Racing GameC
Included Games4×4 Offroad Driver, 4×4 Offroad Driver 2
tl;dr4×4 OffRoad Collection is a Compilation of two Simulation-style Off-Road Racing Games – 4×4 Offroad Driver and 4×4 Offroad Driver 2. Both of these games reuse the same core gameplay and share assets, but both also suffer from gameplay and graphical issues. At the very least, this bundle is a decent value, but only if you get it on sale. No one is going to mistake these games for anything high-quality, but if you get this bundle cheap, you may find it a worthwhile time-waster.
Accidental Queens CollectionCompilation / Visual Novel / Simulation / Text AdventureC
Included GamesA Normal Lost Phone, Another Lost Phone: Laura’s Story, Alt-Frequencies
tl;drAccidental Queens Collection is a Compilation of three games from the titular developer – A Normal Lost Phone, Another Lost Phone: Laura’s Story, and Alt-Frequencies. The first two games combine Visual Novel and Simulation elements, while the latter combines Visual Novel and Text Adventure. All of these games have great stories and some interesting gameplay concepts, but only the first Lost Phone game manages to deliver on its concept without being dragged down by its gameplay issues, and both of the Lost Phone games are best played on a smartphone anyway. Overall, while this Compilation has some worthwhile content, it’s hard to give it a full recommendation.
Atari Recharged Collection 2Compilation / Arcade / 2-Stick ShooterC
Included GamesBlack Widow: Recharged, Centipede: Recharged
tl;drAtari Recharged Collection 2 is a physical-only Compilation containing the 2-Stick Shooter, Black Widow: Recharged, and the Arcade-style game, Centipede: Recharged. Both are solid re-imaginings of classic Atari games, but that hardly matters because the price of this package is at least 75% higher than getting the digital games separately. Unless you absolutely must get your games in physical form, skip this.
Best Mobile Games 5-in-1CompilationC
Included GamesDig Deep, Om Nom: Run, Pudding Monsters, Run Sausage Run!, Sausage Wars
tl;drBest Mobile Games 5-in-1 is a bundle containing Dig Deep, Om Nom: Run, Pudding Monsters, Run Sausage Run!, and Sausage Wars. None of these games are all that great, and the bundle pricing is also only so-so. You’ll probably get some enjoyment out of this bundle, but I think you’re better off spending your money elsewhere.
Classic Games Puzzle CollectionCompilation / Arcade / Match-3 PuzzleC
Included GamesFashion Girls, Fashion Princess, Fashion Friends, Bubble Puzzler, Princess Bubble Story, Bubble Shoot Farm
tl;drClassic Games Puzzle Collection is a Compilation containing three bad knock-offs of the classic Arcade game Qix, and three mediocre knockoffs of the classic Match-3 Puzzle Bust-A-Move AKA Puzzle Bobble. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the price of this Compilation is insultingly high, though when the bundle inevitably goes on sale for $2, I suppose some may find it worthwhile. Still, it’s hard for me to recommend a bundle full of cheaply-made copy-pasted games.
Dadish CollectionCompilation / PlatformerC
Included GamesDadish, Dadish 2, Dadish 3
tl;drDadish Collection is a Compilation of the original trilogy of Platformers, all decent but unspectacular games. Unfortunately the value this bundle adds is a bit iffy too, as you can easily snag all three games on sale for a sum total that’s less than half the cost of this package. If you’re going to get these games, do that instead.
Devious Dungeon CollectionCompilation / Action-PlatformerC
Included GamesDevious Dungeon, Devious Dungeon 2
tl;drDevious Dungeon Collection is a Compilation of Devious Dungeon and Devious Dungeon 2. Both games are mediocre Action-Platformers with light Roguelike elements that are too repetitive and limited to compete with other similar games on the market, and this Compilation doesn’t offer enough of a discount to make up for that fact.
Fairune CollectionCompilation / Puzzle / Action-RPG / ShmupC
Included GamesFairune, Fairune 2, Fairune Origins, Fairune Blast
tl;drFairune Collection is a compilation of 4 games… although if we’re being honest it’s more like 2 games with some extras. Fairune 1 & 2 are Action-RPG Puzzle games, Fairune Origins is a 15-minute distraction in the same vein, and Fairune Blast is an unlockable Shmup that takes 3 minutes to complete. So clearly Fairune 1 & 2 are the meat of this collection, with gameplay that’s a little like 2D Zelda games with a focus on exploration and puzzle-solving. When it works, it’s really fun, but these games all have a slew of problems that lead to a lot of frustration. In the end, I’d still recommend it to fans of the classic Zelda series, but only if you’re prepared for this game’s numerous issues.
Flame Keeper + Space CowsCompilationC
Included GamesFlame Keeper, Space Cows
tl;drFlame Keeper + Space Cows is a Compilation containing the two named games, an Action Roguelike game and a 2-Stick Shooter, respectively. Neither of these games is particularly great, and while they’re not bad either, there’s little reason to get these over countless other games on Nintendo Switch. What’s more, the bundle, while not at all a bad deal, isn’t an especially great deal either. So kinda’ “meh” all around, I suppose.
Food Truck Tycoons – 2 in 1 BundleCompilation / ArcadeC
Included GamesFood Truck Tycoon, Food Truck Tycoon – Asian Cuisine
tl;drFood Truck Tycoons – 2 in 1 Bundle contains two Arcade-style games in the “restaurant tycoon” style (without Simulation elements). Both games are decent but not great, and this package is a decent but not great value. Unfortunately for this package, Cooking Arena – 10 in 1 Edition offers a much better value, and if you want the games in this bundle you’re better off getting that bundle instead.
Golf Club Wasteland / Aspire: Ina’s Tale BundleCompilation / Sports (Golf) / Puzzle-PlatformerC
Included GamesAspire: Ina’s Tale, Golf Club Wasteland
tl;drGolf Club Wasteland / Aspire: Ina’s Tale Bundle is a Compilation of the two named games, a side-scrolling Golf game and a Puzzle-Platformer. Both games have their positive qualities and compliment each other well, but they both have significant flaws as well. However, the biggest flaw in this bundle is the price tag – at $23, you’re paying exactly what you would pay to get these games separately. If either of these titles interests you, just go ahead and do that instead.
Indie Darling Bundle Vol. 2Compilation / Puzzle / Metroidvania / 2-Stick Shooter / Action-PlatformerC
Included GamesBleed 2, Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut, The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human
tl;drIndie Darling Bundle Vol. 2 is a collection of three games by publisher Digerati, ranging from average to pretty good. However, two of the three games can already be found in other bundles, and only one game here, Bleed 2, is truly stand-out. Unless you’re looking to complete a collection or specifically interested in these games, you’re probably better off skipping this collection.
Indie Gems Bundle – Nonograms EditionCompilation / Picross PuzzleC
Included GamesPictoQuest, Piczle Cross Adventure
tl;drIndie Gems Bundle – Nonograms Edition is a compilation of PictoQuest and Piczle Cross Adventure, two Picross Puzzle games. However, Piczle Cross Adventure is clearly the better game of the two, and you’re not saving much money by getting this bundle. I’d recommend just getting Piczle Cross Adventure on its own and skipping this bundle.
Indie Puzzle Bundle Vol. 1Compilation / PuzzleC
Included GamesGlass Masquerade, Letter Quest Remastered, Pipe Push Paradise, Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut
tl;drIndie Puzzle Bundle Vol. 1 is a collection of four Puzzle games that are all in the average-to-decent range, and all provide a good amount of variety. Having said that, there’s no truly stand-out games here, and even saving $10 on the cost of buying these games separately still makes for a steep price. If you’re a fan of the genre and this game has a good sale it may be worth getting, but otherwise steer clear.
Instant SportsCompilation / Sports (Various)C
Included GamesRun ‘N Jump, Tennis, Rafting, Goal Keeper, Bowling, Baseball
tl;drInstant Sports is a family-friendly Compilation of various motion-controlled Sports games that aims to be a replacement for Wii Sports on Nintendo Switch. The bowling game here manages this fairly well, but everything else ranges from fun but shallow to poorly-conceived to outright lazy. Certainly a few of the games here are worth playing, but this is a highly-unbalanced package that just doesn’t measure up to its inspiration.
La-Mulana 1 & 2 BundleCompilation / MetroidvaniaC
Included GamesLa-Mulana, La-Mulana 2
tl;drLa-Mulana 1 & 2 Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games, but I strongly believe that only the first of these two games is worth playing, and this bundle doesn’t give players a very enticing reason to get the two games together. Unless you absolutely must have both of these games, just get the first La-Mulana and don’t bother with this bundle.
Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter StoryCompilation / ArcadeC
Included Games3D3D, Centipede (ZX81), Deflex V, Bomber, Ratman, Rox III Spectrum Version, Super Deflex, Andes Attack, Abductor, Rox 64, Gridrunner (VIC-20), Gridrunner (Commodore 64), Headbangers Heaven, Attack of the Mutant Camels (VIC-20), Laser Zone (VIC-20), Laser Zone (Commodore 64), Matrix: Gridrunner 2 (VIC-20), Matrix: Gridrunner 2 (Commodore 64), Gridrunner (Atari 8-Bit), Hover Bovver (Commodore 64), Metagalactic Llamas Battle at the Edge of Time (AKA Meta-Llamas) (VIC-20), Metagalactic Llamas Battle at the Edge of Time (AKA Meta-Llamas) (Commodore 64), Hellgate (VIC-20), Hellgate (Commodore 64), Sheep in Space, Attack of the Mutant Camels (Atari 8-Bit), Ancipital, Psychedelia, Mama Llama, Colourspace, Batalyx, Iridis Alpha, Voidrunner, Revenge of the Mutant Camels II, Super Gridrunner, Attack of the Mutant Camels ’89, Llamatron: 2112, Revenge of the Mutant Camels ST, Tempest 2000, Gridrunner Remastered
tl;drLlamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story is a Compilation containing 40 mostly Arcade-style games created by the titular Jeff Minter, creator of Tempest 2000 and Gridrunner. Unfortunately, I do not think most of these games have aged well, and while Digital Eclipse has once again done a superb job with its documentary-style exploration of this section of videogame history, I don’t think that’s going to be enough to win over those who aren’t already smitten with Minter’s catalog of games. Unless you like retro-style Arcade games that are hard, weird, and at times difficult to understand, this probably isn’t for you.
Match 3 Adventure CollectionCompilation / Match-3 PuzzleC
Included GamesGems of Magic: Lost Family, Match Three: Pirates! Heir to Davy Jones
tl;drMatch 3 Adventure Collection is a Compilation of two family-friendly Match-3 Puzzle games: Gems of Magic: Lost Family and Match Three: Pirates! Heir to Davy Jones. Both are uninspired knockoffs of Bejeweled, and while you may still find these games worthwhile if you get them on sale, you’re better off getting another better Puzzle game instead.
Mega Man Battle & FightersCompilation / Action-Platformer / Fighting GameC
Included GamesMega Man: The Power Battle, Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters
tl;drMega Man Battle & Fighters is a Compilation of two Fighting Games with strong Action-Platformer elements, Mega Man: The Power Battle, and Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters, both genuinely fun games that play like a boss rush of the Mega Man franchise. Unfortunately, these versions of the games were heavily cut back for their port to NEOGEO Pocket Color, and on top of that, the lack of a proper English localization is irritating. Even worse, players can already get Arcade-perfect versions of these games in Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium. With this being the case, why would anyone bother with these versions?
Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2Compilation / Action-PlatformerC
Included GamesMega Man X, Mega Man X2, Mega Man X3, Mega Man X4, Mega Man X5, Mega Man X6, Mega Man X7, Mega Man X8
tl;drMega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2 contains the first eight numbered games in the Mega Man X series in a physical release, and the result is an extremely uneven package. Not only are the first four games much better than the latter four, but the game requires a 6.6GB download to play the latter four games. At the very least, the bonus content here is quite good, but that’s hardly enough to justify buying such a broken package when you can just get the good stuff by buying Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 on the eShop. Unless you want the first four games on a cartridge, you should do that instead.
Metal Slug 1st & 2nd Mission Double PackCompilation / Action-PlatformerC
Included GamesMetal Slug 1st Mission, Metal Slug 2nd Mission
tl;drMetal Slug 1st & 2nd Mission Double Pack is a Compilation of the two named Action-Platformers in SNK’s long-running series originally released on the NEOGEO Pocket Color. Unfortunately, the limitations of that hardware really hobble these games when they’re compared to other games in the genre or even in its own series, including the ACA NEOGEO games you can get on the Nintendo Switch. Unless you have a nostalgia for the original releases, you’re better off sticking with other games in the Metal Slug series.
Mini Island Challenge BundleCompilation / ActionC
Included GamesRed Island, Snow Island, Mini Island, and Mini Island: Night
tl;drMini Island Challenge Bundle is a Compilation of four games… that really just feels like one game with four different skins. In any case, this is a selection of four boss rush-style Action games, and while the core action here is decent, it’s also somewhat shallow and lacking variety. The result is a game you might enjoy for a little while, but not one you’re likely to play for very long.
Nakana Bundle #3 (Eqqo + Lydia + Stilstand)Compilation / Graphic AdventureC
Included GamesEqqo, Lydia, Stilstand
tl;drNakana Bundle #3 (Eqqo + Lydia + Stilstand) is a Compilation of three story-driven games (two Graphic Adventure games and a Visual Novel), with somber, dark, depressing themes. These stories will not be for everyone, but if these sort of themes appeal to you, I think you’ll find this bundle to be a good value.
Nakana Bundle #4CompilationC
Included GamesJourney of the Broken Circle, Lydia, Mythic Ocean, Soul Searching, Stilstand
tl;drNakana Bundle #5 is a Compilation of Journey of the Broken Circle, Lydia, Mythic Ocean, Soul Searching, and Stilstand. While some may find a few of those games to have some merit, for the most part the only truly great game in the bunch is Mythic Ocean. If you want that game, just get Mythic Ocean. And if you want a good deal on multiple Nakana games, you’re probably better off getting Nakana Bundle #6, which includes all of these games plus five more. As a result, I see little reason to get this Compilation.
Namco MuseumCompilation / Arcade / VariousC
Included GamesDig Dug, Galaga, Galaga ’88, Pac-Man, Pac-Man Vs., Rolling Thunder, Rolling Thunder 2, Sky Kid, Splatterhouse, Tank Force, The Tower of Druaga
tl;drNamco Museum features a collection of games that includes some true classics. Unfortunately, when you compare this to other game compilations, even prior Namco Museum releases, the $30 price tag is a huge rip-off for only 10 games, 9 of which were released over 25 years ago. For shame.
Namco Museum Archives Vol. 1Compilation / Arcade / ShmupC
Included GamesNintendo Entertainment System/Famicom versions of: Dig Dug, Dragon Buster, Dragon Spirit: The New Legend, Galaxian, Mappy, Pac-Man, Pac-Man Championship Edition (8-Bit Version), Sky Kid, Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti, The Tower of Druaga, Xevious
tl;drNamco Museum Archives Vol. 1 is a Compilation of 11 Namco games, mostly classic Nintendo Entertainment System games. There are a few decent games that you can pretty much only get in this collection, but most of the games here are terrible, and most are available elsewhere on Nintendo Switch in their original Arcade form, making it hard to justify this game’s $20 price. Unless you’re a completionist, skip this.
Namco Museum Archives Vol. 2Compilation / ArcadeC
Included GamesNintendo Entertainment System/Famicom versions of: Battle City, Dig Dug II, Dragon Buster II, Galaga, Gaplus (8-Bit Version), Legacy of the Wizard, Mappy-Land, Mendel Palace, Pac-Land, Rolling Thunder, Super Xevious
tl;drNamco Museum Archives Vol. 2 is a Compilation of 11 Namco games, mostly classic Nintendo Entertainment System games. Unlike the first Namco Museum Archives, there’s almost nothing here worth playing. Dig Dug II is good, but also available on the Nintendo Switch Online NES app. Beyond that, nothing else here really warrants a look, and certainly nothing here warrants a purchase.
NEOGEO Pocket Color Collection, Vol. 1Compilation / Fighting / Misc.C
Included GamesBig Tournament Golf, Fatal Fury First Contact, King of Fighters R-2, Metal Slug 1st Mission, Metal Slug 2nd Mission, Samurai Shodown! 2, SNK Gals’ Fighters, SNK Vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium, The Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny
tl;drNEOGEO Pocket Color Collection, Vol. 1 is a Compilation of 10 games from SNK’s 1999-2000-era handheld game platform, most of these being Fighting Games. Unfortunately, the limitations of the hardware these games were originally released on make almost all of these games compare poorly to other Fighting games available on the Nintendo Switch, and the one game in this package that has aged surprisingly well, Big Tournament Golf, just isn’t enough on its own to justify the $40 price tag for this collection. As a result, this is a package that only collectors and the nostalgia-charmed fans of the original releases will want to bother with.
Nora: The Wannabe Alchemist + Mosaic Chronicles DeluxeCompilationC
Included GamesMosaic Chronicles Deluxe, Nora: The Wannabe Alchemist
tl;drNora: The Wannabe Alchemist + Mosaic Chronicles Deluxe is a Compilation containing the two named games, both different types of games and both games highly flawed and with other similar games on the Nintendo Switch that are better. This bundle is a good deal on these games, particularly when it goes on sale, but even then I wouldn’t recommend it, because I wouldn’t recommend either of the games it contains.
Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – The Official VideogameCompilation / Sports (Various) / Minigame CollectionC
Included Games4x 100m Relay, 100m, 100m Freestyle, 110m Hurdles, 200m Individual Medley, Baseball, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, BMX, Boxing, Football, Hammer Throw, Judo, Long Jump, Rugby Sevens, Sport Climbing, Table Tennis, Tennis
tl;drOlympic Games Tokyo 2020 is a family-friendly Compilation of 18 different Minigames based on various Summer Olympics sports. Both the presentation and the games themselves are very uneven here – the character designs look great (but childish), but the environments are mostly unimpressive. The multiplayer potential here is strong, but the game inexplicably only supports 2 players locally. And games like Tennis and Volleyball had a lot of potential, but suffer from a lack of depth and variety, likely due to time having to be devoted to obligatory sports like all the running and swimming events. Overall, this entire game is a mix of good and bad elements, and while it certainly has its bright spots, its flaws make it difficult to recommend.
Paradiso Series BundleCompilation / Action-RPGC
Included GamesLucah: Born of a Dream, Death of a Wish
tl;drParadiso Series Bundle is a Compilation containing Lucah: Born of a Dream and Death of a Wish, both Action-RPG titles set in the same world. While the games themselves are both decent, with good combat, this bundle is absurdly overpriced and you’re better off just getting its two contained games separately.
Planescape Torment and Icewind Dale: Enhanced EditionsCompilation / RPGC
Included GamesPlanescape Torment: Enhanced Edition, Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
tl;drPlanescape Torment and Icewind Dale: Enhanced Editions are two classic Western RPGs from 1999 and 2000 that are finally playable on a console for the first time in this release. Unfortunately, the awkward controls in this release make it seem like the game was a poor fit for consoles in the first place, and this problem is made worse by horribly dated graphics. On top of that, the basic game design here is very user-unfriendly, even for those who can get used to the odd controls. The story and voice acting in both of these games is still excellent, but only the most patient players will find it worth suffering through this archaic mess to enjoy that story.
QUByte Classics – Jim Power: The Lost Dimension by PIKOCompilation / Action-PlatformerC
Included GamesJim Power (Nintendo Entertainment System), Jim Power (Sega Genesis)
tl;drJim Power is a Compilation of two versions of the same Action-Platformer, albeit not the Super Nintendo game that was released back in 1993 but an unreleased (until recently) Sega Genesis version and a newly-developed Nintendo Entertainment System version. Both versions are flawed but decent games, and while you’re not likely to see these as “classics”, they aren’t without their charms.
R-Type Dimensions EXCompilation / ShmupC
Included GamesR-Type, R-Type II
tl;drR-Type Dimensions EX is a Compilation and remake of two classic Shmups, and while this version improves the graphics and adds plenty of features, including some meant to help with the game’s incredibly high difficulty, those features can only help so much when the original games were seemingly designed to be nearly impossible. This is a game only genre fans can appreciate.
Retro Game PackCompilationC
Included GamesPong, Snake, Tic-Tac-Toe
tl;drRetro Game Pack is a Compilation that includes versions of Pong, Snake, and Tic-Tac-Toe. The presentation here is adorably suited to the game’s “retro” theme, though not everyone will appreciate it. Even fewer players will appreciate the terrible lack of options throughout this package. Those nostalgic for bygone days may still find something worthwhile here, but I think most will find this package lacking.
Retro Rollers BundleCompilation / PlatformerC
Included GamesPanic Porcupine, Polyroll
tl;drRetro Rollers Bundle is a Compilation containing Panic Porcupine and Polyroll, two games that each try their own take on the Sonic the Hedgehog formula. Of the two, I think that only Polyroll succeeds at this, and while this bundle does offer some savings over getting the games separately, it doesn’t make much sense to buy this when only one of the games is good.
Solitaire Deluxe Bundle – 3 in 1Compilation / Card Game (Solitaire)C
Included GamesKlondike Solitaire, Freecell Solitaire Deluxe, and Spider Solitaire
tl;drSolitaire Deluxe Bundle – 3 in 1 is a compilation of this publisher’s earlier releases Klondike Solitaire, Freecell Solitaire Deluxe, and Spider Solitaire, all decent versions of those respective card games. Compared to those individual releases, this is a pretty good deal too… but it’s also completely pointless when players can buy World of Solitaire and get more content for the same price. As such, I can’t see a good reason to recommend this game.
Sonic Forces + Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HDCompilation / Platformer / 3D Platformer / ArcadeC
Included GamesSonic Forces, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz HD
tl;drSonic Forces + Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is a Compilation containing the two named games, each one of the worst games in its respective series. Still, this bundle is a good deal, so if you’re already aiming to get either of these two games, and don’t want one of the other bundles they appear in, this is definitely preferable than getting either game individually.
SpongeBob SquarePants: BundleCompilation / 3D PlatformerC
Included GamesSpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake
tl;drSpongeBob SquarePants: Bundle is a Compilation of two 3D Platformers, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, and SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake. Both are solid 3D Platformers that fans of the SpongeBob franchise will likely enjoy, but unfortunately this bundle is simply not a good deal, and in fact you’re much better off getting the individual games when they go on sale. There’s no good reason to get this bundle instead.
Stellar Interface + Sudoku ZenkaiCompilation / Roguelike / Shmup / Sudoku PuzzleC
Included GamesStellar Interface, Sudoku Zenkai
tl;drStellar Interface + Sudoku Zenkai is a Compilation containing the two named games, and while both games are very different, they’re both pretty good. However, this bundle is a total rip-off – you won’t save a penny getting this package instead of buying the games separately, and in fact you’ll save a lot more money buying the two games on sale. Do that instead.
Suicide Guy CollectionCompilation / First-Person Puzzle-PlatformerC
Included GamesSuicide Guy, Suicide Guy: Sleepin’ Deeply
tl;drSuicide Guy Collection is a Compilation containing the First-Person Puzzle-Platformers Suicide Guy and Suicide Guy: Sleepin’ Deeply. As a bundle, this is a much better deal than getting the games individually, and these games do have some clever ideas and a lot of personality. Unfortunately, they’re also highly unpolished, feature performance issues, and suffer from absolutely terrible Platforming. You have better options for this sort of game.
Syberia 1 & 2Compilation / Graphic AdventureC
Included GamesSyberia, Syberia II
tl;drSyberia 1 & 2 is a compilation of two Graphic Adventure games that were once celebrated but now really show their age, with dated graphics, confusing puzzle design, and occasional interface issues. There’s still some real quality work here, but it’s buried under a decade and a half of dust.
Taiko No Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure PackCompilation / Music-RhythmC
Included GamesTaiko No Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure 1 and Taiko No Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure 2
tl;drTaiko No Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack is a family-friendly Compilation of Taiko No Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack 1 and 2, and while this package’s combined 119 songs make it enticing, this value is tarnished by the way these games remove multiple great features from Drum ‘N’ Fun! and replace them with terrible RPG modes, and the way the content is segregated between the two games and forces players to jump through multiple annoying menus to get to them. Unless you’re a huge fan of this series, just get Drum ‘N’ Fun! instead.
Team Sonic Racing + Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD BundleCompilation / Kart Racer / 3D Platformer / ArcadeC
Included GamesTeam Sonic Racing and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD
tl;drTeam Sonic Racing + Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD Bundle is a Compilation that includes two games that, while each is enjoyable, both are largely overshadowed by better alternatives on Nintendo Switch. Add to that a $50 price tag that feels over-inflated and you have a bundle that, while not outright terrible, still doesn’t feel like it’s worth the cost.
The Card: Poker, Texas Hold’em, Blackjack, and Page OneCompilation / Card GamesC
Included GamesFive Card Draw Poker, Texas Hold ‘Em Poker, Blackjack, Page One
tl;drThe Card: Poker, Texas Hold’em, Blackjack, and Page One is a decent but unspectacular collection of the four games in question. It doesn’t have a very impressive presentation, and it lacks options, variants, and most importantly multiplayer, but for $5 this is an acceptable collection of these four Card Games.
The Jackbox Party Pack 6Compilation / Party GamesC
Included GamesTrivia Murder Party 2, Role Models, Joke Boat, Dictionarium, Push the Button
tl;drThe Jackbox Party Pack 6 is a Collection of Party Games that includes five games that players play using their Smartphone instead of a controller. While this isn’t the worst collection of games Jackbox has put out, it is still a pretty terrible selection of games with little that stands out. I recommend you get one of the other Jackbox collections instead.
Tiny Lands & Not Not – A Brain BusterCompilationC
Included GamesNot Not – A Brain Buster, Tiny Lands
tl;drTiny Lands & Not Not – A Brain Buster is a Compilation containing the two named games, both different types of games and neither of them especially good games, in a bundle that’s not an especially good value. If you’re already planning to get either game, you might as well get this bundle when it goes on sale to get the other tossed in with it, but there’s nothing here that I would say is truly outstanding.
TT CollectionCompilation / Motorcycle RacingC
Included GamesTT Isle of Man, TT Isle of Man Ride on the Edge 2, TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3
tl;drTT Collection is a Compilation containing the first three games in the TT Isle of Man series of Simulation-style Motorcycle Racing games. These games are extremely niche and punishing in a way that most players won’t enjoy, the series isn’t as polished as the MotoGP games, and as a bundle the savings here is moderate at best. A select few players may find this bundle worth getting, but the overwhelming majority of players are better off skipping it.
Xtreme SportsCompilation / Sports (“Xtreme” / Various)C
Included GamesIn-Line Skating, Skateboarding, Skyboarding, Street Luge, Surfing
tl;drXtreme Sports is a decent collection of “Xtreme Sports” minigames based on Skateboarding, Surfing, In-Line Skating, Street Luge, and Skyboarding. Unfortunately, they’re marred by a framing device that slows the game’s pacing to a crawl, and the extras added to this release don’t justify the $10 price tag for a game you could get on Nintendo 3DS for $4. This game may be worth a pickup when it goes on sale, but I wouldn’t recommend it otherwise.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul PatrolCompilation / Top-Down ActionC
Included GamesZombies Ate My Neighbors, Ghoul Patrol
tl;drZombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol is a Compilation of two 16-bit Top-Down Action games – one which is a fun but flawed classic, and one that’s just plain awful. There are a handful of extra features included as well, but for the most part this collection’s value will likely depend on how much nostalgia you have for this package’s one worthwhile game.
.hack//G.U. Last RecodeCompilation / Action-RPGC-
Included Games.hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth, .hack//G.U. Vol. 2: Reminisce, .hack//G.U. Vol. 3: Redemption, .hack//G.U. Vol. 4: Reconnection
tl;dr.hack//G.U. Last Recode is a Compilation of remastered versions of the second mainline trilogy of videogames in the .hack franchise (plus a new fourth installment!), something that should be a delight to series fans, but everyone else will find that these games have aged extremely poorly, with tedious gameplay, a poorly-told story, and extremely outdated presentation. Unless you are one of those aforementioned series fans, skip this.
#1 Crosswords BundleCompilation / PuzzleC-
Included Games#1 Anagrams, #1 Crosswords
tl;dr#1 Crosswords Bundle is a Compilation containing two Puzzle games: #1 Anagrams and #1 Crosswords. Neither of these games is especially great, and while this bundle does offer some decent savings over the price of getting these games separately, I don’t know that $6 for two sub-par games really sounds all that much better than $8 for two sub-par games.
#1 Pastime BundleCompilation / PuzzleC-
Included Games#1 Anagrams, #1 Crosswords, #1 Sudokus
tl;dr#1 Pastime Bundle is a Compilation containing three Puzzle games: #1 Anagrams, #1 Crosswords, and #1 Sudokus. None of these games is especially great, and while this bundle does offer some decent savings over the price of getting these games separately, I don’t know that $8 for three sub-par games really sounds all that much better than $12 for three sub-par games.
30-in-1 Game CollectionCompilationC-
Included GamesAnger of the Ancients, Desert Treasure, Orb of Osiris, A Beautiful Mind, The Fickle Temple, Darkness is Coming, Dwarven Gold, Odin’s Ring, Dragon’s Den, Mineshaft Defense, Witch’s Brew, Bumper Racers, Alien Attack, The Walking Robots, Canyon Road, Piperman, Split ‘Em Up, Robot Wars, Bots & Bombs, Pongonoid, Bug Hunter, Drop the Kiwi, Catch Them If You Can, Trials of the Tribe, Gemswap, Shaolin Volleyball, Pandancer, Origami Puzzle, Pagoda Builder, Hinamatsuri
tl;dr30-in-1 Game Collection has a handful of decent games in among the stinkers, but even the best games here are lacking the options and could have used time to develop into a complete experience. Also, the collection unfortunately forces you to play through the stinkers to unlock all of the games. There is fun to be had here, but you have to sift through a lot of crap to find it, and the fun won’t last long when you do.
Atari Recharged Collection 1 + 2 Dual Pack EditionCompilation / ArcadeC-
Included GamesAsteroids: Recharged, Breakout: Recharged, Black Widow: Recharged, Centipede: Recharged
tl;drAtari Recharged Collection 1 + 2 Dual Pack is a physical-only Compilation containing Asteroids: Recharged, Breakout: Recharged, Black Widow: Recharged, and Centipede: Recharged. Three of these are solid re-imaginings of classic Atari games (the lone dud being Breakout: Recharged), but that hardly matters because the price of this package is at least 75% higher than getting the digital games separately. Unless you absolutely must get your games in physical form, skip this.
Atari Recharged: Volume TwoCompilation / ArcadeC-
Included GamesBerzerk: Recharged, Caverns of Mars: Recharged, Gravitar: Recharged, Missile Command: Recharged, Yars: Recharged
tl;drAtari Recharged: Volume Two is a Compilation containing Berzerk: Recharged, Caverns of Mars: Recharged, Gravitar: Recharged, Missile Command: Recharged, and Yars: Recharged, all re-imaginings of classic Atari era hits. Unfortunately, of this batch of games, the only one that’s truly must-play is Yars: Recharged, and this bundle doesn’t even offer enough of a savings to make it worthwhile to get the entire batch. Because of this, I suggest you skip this bundle and just get Yars: Recharged.
Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced EditionsCompilation / RPGC-
Included GamesBaldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition
tl;drBaldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Editions are two classic Western RPGs from 1998 and 2000 that are finally playable on a console for the first time in this release. Unfortunately, the awkward controls in this release make it seem like the game was a poor fit for consoles in the first place, and this problem is made worse by horribly dated graphics that make the game an eyesore. On top of that, the basic game design here is very user-unfriendly, even for those who can get used to the odd controls. The story and voice acting in both of these games is still excellent, but only the most patient players will find it worth suffering through this archaic mess to enjoy that story.
Brave Dungeon + Dark Witch Story: CombatCompilation / Top-Down Dungeon Crawler / Turn Based RPGC-
Included GamesBrave Dungeon, Dark Witch Story: Combat
tl;drBrave Dungeon + Dark Witch Story: Combat pairs the simple but surprisingly compelling Dungeon Crawler, Brave Dungeon, with the terrible self-playing RPG with a card aesthetic, Dark Witch Story: Combat. As much as I enjoy Brave Dungeon, I feel like the $9 price of this package is bloated due to the inclusion of an additional, terrible game. And at that point, you might as well spend another $11 to get one of the multiple other, much better, Top-Down Dungeon Crawlers on Nintendo Switch.
Bundle: Memory – The Original Matching Game from Ravensburger + Rush Hour Deluxe – The Ultimate Traffic Jam Game!Compilation / PuzzleC-
Included GamesMemory – The Original Matching Game from Ravensburger, Rush Hour Deluxe – The Ultimate Traffic Jam Game!
tl;drThis bundle, whose absurdly long name I won’t repeat here, includes the two named games, both solid takes on classic games that were woefully overpriced in their individual releases… and this bundle does little to improve that, still being absurdly overpriced. Do yourself a favor and just get Clubhouse Games instead of this.
Card Game Bundle Vol. 1Compilation / Card GameC-
Included GamesFrost, Monster Slayers
tl;drCard Game Bundle Vol. 1 is a collection of Frost and Monster Slayers, both different types of Card Game. Unfortunately, Frost isn’t very fun, and Monsters Slayers is already in another better bundle. There’s simply not much reason to get this bundle when you have multiple better options.
City’s Hero CollectionCompilation / Driving / Racing GameC-
Included GamesConstruction Site Driver, Emergency Driver Simulator
tl;drCity’s Hero Collection is a Compilation of two Driving Simulation games with Racing game elements – Construction Site Driver, and Emergency Driver Simulator. Both games reuse the same core gameplay and share assets, and both have major gameplay and graphical issues. At the very least, this bundle is a decent value, but only if you get it on sale. Even then, I wouldn’t recommend this.
Danganronpa DecadenceCompilation / Graphic Adventure / Visual NovelC-
Included GamesDanganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony Anniversary Edition, Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp
tl;drDanganronpa Decadence is a Compilation that includes the Graphic Adventure and Visual Novel games Danganronpa, Danganronpa 2, and Danganronpa V3, along with the Party Game and Turn-Based JRPG Danganronpa S. That last one is trash, but the mainline trilogy is pretty good, albeit not something that will appeal to everyone. However, what will appeal to no one is this package’s $60 price tag, multiple times what the individual games on the eShop cost when they go on sale. Even players who only buy physical copies may want to reconsider and just get the digital versions here… and just stick with the mainline games, while you’re at it.
Double Dragon & Kunio-kun: Retro Brawler BundleCompilation / Arcade Brawler / Sports (Various)C-
Included GamesDouble Dragon (NES), Double Dragon II: The Revenge (NES), Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones (NES), Renegade (NES), Super Dodge Ball, River City Ransom, Crash ‘N’ the Boys Street Challenge, Nekketsu Renegade Kunio-kun, Nekketsu High School Dodgeball Club, Downtown Nekketsu Story, Nekketsu High School Dodgeball Club – Soccer Story, Downtown Nekketsu March Super-Awesome Field Day!, Downtown Special Kunio-Kun’s Historical Period Drama!, Go-Go! Nekketsu Hockey Club Slip-and-Slide Madness, Surprise! Nekketsu New Records! The Distant Gold Medal, Nekketsu Fighting Legend, Kunio-kun’s Nekketsu Soccer League, Nekketsu! Street Basketball All-Out Dunk Heroes
tl;drDouble Dragon & Kunio-kun: Retro Brawler Bundle is a compilation of 14-18 games (depending on how you count) in these respective franchises, largely in the Arcade Brawler genre along with various Sports games, all originally released on the Nintendo Entertainment System and Famicom. Unfortunately, most of the games here are fundamentally flawed in some way, and the best games in this collection are already available in the Nintendo Switch Online NES app, or able to be purchased separately. As a result, only the most dedicated series fans should bother with this package.
Driving World CollectionCompilation / Driving / Racing GameC-
Included GamesDriving World: Aspen, Driving World: Nordic Challenge
tl;drDriving World: Nordic Challenge is a game that mixes elements of Driving Simulation and Racing games, with a focus mainly on the Driving Simulation side of things. Unfortunately, the cars here do not handle well, and it is far too lacking in options and contents for its price. This is one of the better takes on this formula, but that’s not saying much.
Famicom Detective Club: The Two Case CollectionCompilation / Visual NovelC-
Included GamesFamicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir, Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind
tl;drFamicom Detective Club: The Two Case Collection is a Compilation of two remakes of classic Famicom Disk System games that are finally making their debut in the West. The presentation of both games is fantastic, but the gameplay is flawed in ways that are needlessly frustrating by today’s standards. What’s more, there’s no good reason to buy this Compilation package, since buying one of the games on its own gives you a discount on the other game equal to the dollar amount you save in this package. Unless you know without question you want both games, there’s little reason to get this package.
Hole io & CandivityCompilationC-
Included GamesCandivity, Hole io
tl;drHole io & Candivity is a Compilation containing the surprisingly fun Arcade-style game Hole io, and the pretty terrible Suika Game knockoff, Candivity. While this bundle is a decent deal on the pair, Hole io is already in a much better bundle with Paper io 2 at the same price. I highly recommend you get that instead.
Horror Bundle : Paratopic + Fatum BetulaCompilation / First-Person Graphic AdventureC-
Included GamesParatopic, Fatum Betula
tl;drHorror Bundle : Paratopic + Fatum Betula is a Compilation of the two named games, both First-Person Graphic Adventure titles with an OG PlayStation aesthetic and an odd and abstract plot. I have compared both of these games to student films, in that they are bizarre and interesting, but not really compelling or coherent. At the very least, this bundle is a good way to get them, but I suspect most players won’t enjoy either of these games.
Indie Gems Bundle – JRPG EditionCompilation / RPGC-
Included GamesDungeon Rushers, Robothorium
tl;drIndie Gems Bundle – JRPG Edition is a compilation of two RPGs, Dungeon Rushers and Robothorium, neither of which is actually a JRPG. Unfortunately, neither of them is very good, either. Because of this, while this bundle has a good price comparatively, I cannot recommend anyone to get it.
Kingdom MajesticCompilation / Tower DefenseC-
Included GamesKingdom: New Lands, Kingdom: Two Crowns
tl;drKingdom Majestic is a Compilation of Kingdom: New Lands and Kingdom: Two Crowns, the second and third games in the Kingdoms series of 2D side-scrolling Tower Defense games. I found both of these games to be frustrating and niche in their design, and this bundle is only a moderate savings on buying the games separately, despite coming two years after better versions of this bundle on PlayStation and Xbox platforms. All told, even fans of this series would have to admit this package is disappointing.
Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams SagaCompilation / Graphic AdventureC-
Included GamesLeisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Don’t Dry, Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Dry Twice
tl;drLeisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Saga is a Compilation of the “adults only” Graphic Adventure games Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Don’t Dry and Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Dry Twice, which follow the adventures of the titular anachronistic woman-chasing sleazeball. The sense of humor in these games will not appeal to everyone, and the games are made worse by poor controls and outdated, frustrating game design. Also, while the bundle is cheaper than buying these games separately, it’s still too pricey. Unless you’re a series fan, skip this package.
Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2Compilation / Action-PlatformerC-
Included GamesMega Man X5, Mega Man X6, Mega Man X7, Mega Man X8
tl;drMega Man X Legacy Collection 2 is a collection of the second set of four games in this series of Action-Platformers. These are the worst games in the series, and four of the worst games in any Mega Man series, and while there’s a healthy amount of bonus content here, a lot of it is the same bonus content already included in the first, and far superior, Mega Man X Legacy Collection. In short, this is a collection only for the most die hard of Mega Man fans.
OlliOlli: Switch StanceCompilation / Sports (Skateboarding)C-
Included GamesOlliOlli, OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood
tl;drOlliOlli: Switch Stance is a side-scrolling Skateboarding game with a retro look, a nice synthesized soundtrack, and gameplay and controls that are punishingly difficult and at times unresponsive to the point where I cannot see what everyone else loves about this game. However, regardless of what others think, I cannot in good conscience recommend this game.
Om Nom: Coloring, Toons & PuzzleCompilation / Art Application / Jigsaw Puzzle / Misc.C-
Included GamesToons, Coloring, Puzzle, Dots
tl;drOm Nom: Coloring, Toons & Puzzle is a game containing a coloring book Art Application, a Jigsaw Puzzle, a simple connect-the-dots game, and a collection of short videos, all featuring the Om Nom character from the Cut the Rope game franchise. Unfortunately, everything in this package skews heavily toward very young kids, which wouldn’t be so much a problem if the game wasn’t filled with some pretty gross microtransaction grabs for your wallet. The result is something that’s difficult for me to recommend, even for those wanting something for very young kids.
Pirates: All Aboard!Compilation / Top-Down Auto-Runner / Arcade / Party GameC-
Included GamesUntitled, Untitled
tl;drPirates: All Aboard! Is a Compilation of a single-player Top-Down Auto-Runner where players move a ship through obstacles, and a multiplayer Arcade-style Party Game where players navigate their ships trying to sink each other. Both modes are bland and uninspired, and the single-player mode is even worse due to an unforgiving challenge level and poor hit detection. In the end, this game (or pair of games) isn’t without some enjoyment to be had, but you’re much better off getting something else instead.
Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield Double PackCompilation / Turn-Based Monster Collecting JRPGC-
Included GamesPokemon Sword, Pokemon Shield
tl;drPokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield Double Pack is a Bundle containing the two named Turn-Based Monster Collecting JRPGs without any sort of discount (in fact, it’s a penny more than buying them separately). Both games are virtually identical, the game in question being simultaneously a solid and enjoyable entry in the genre… and a massive disappointment that strips out features just as much as it adds them. However, there is very little reason to buy this game twice unless you’re getting the game for two different players… in which case just buy two separate copies rather than this pointless bundle.
Pure Mini Golf and Pool Puzzles BundleCompilation / Sports (Golf) / PuzzleC-
Included GamesPool Puzzles, Pure Mini Golf
tl;drPure Mini Golf and Pool Puzzles Bundle is a Compilation containing the two named games. Of the two, only Pure Mini Golf is worth getting, with Pool Puzzles being pretty terrible. However, if you see this bundle on sale for $2, I suppose go ahead and get it – Pure Mini Golf is definitely worth it, and you’re not paying a penny more for the extra game tossed into the mix.
QUByte Classics – The Humans by PIKOCompilation / Puzzle-PlatformerC-
Included GamesThe Humans (SNES), The Humans (GB)
tl;drThe Humans is a Compilation of the versions of this Puzzle-Platformer that originally released on Super Nintendo and Game Boy. Unfortunately, poor controls and absolutely terrible pacing issues make this game torturous to play. Skip it.
QUByte Classics – The Immortal by PIKOCompilation / Isometric Action-RPGC-
Included GamesThe Immortal (NES), The Immortal (Genesis)
tl;drThe Immortal is an Isometric Action-RPG that released in different versions on the Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Genesis, with both versions of the game included here. There’s some good animation and a fair amount of variety here, but it’s hard to enjoy that when the controls are absolutely terrible and the game keeps making you die from countless hidden traps and other unearned deaths. Unless you have the patience to keep playing through after dying over and over, skip this one.
Rafa’s World + Axolotl + .cat MilkCompilation / PlatformerC-
Included Games.cat Milk, Axolotl, Rafa’s World
tl;drRafa’s World + Axolotl + .cat Milk is a Compilation including the three named games, all Platformers, and all pretty sub-par, with control and hit detection issues, as well as a lack of originality. However, what these games lack in quality, they make up for in value, at least in this collection, which sells for a mere $0.75. That’s an absolutely crazy discount since the cheapest of those games sells for $7 on its own. Does that low price mean that these games are any better? No. But it does mean that they’re priced here in a way that makes them more worth their asking price. Just don’t expect anything memorable or even particularly good here.
Rock ‘N Racing Bundle Grand Prix & RallyCompilation / RacingC-
Included GamesGrand Prix Rock ‘N Racing, Rally Rock ‘N Racing
tl;drRock ‘N Racing Bundle Grand Prix & Rally is a Compilation of two Racing games, the decent but unspectacular Rally Rock ‘N Racing, and the terrible Grand Prix Rock ‘N Racing, all for the value price of… a penny more than it costs to get the games separately. In other words, don’t bother with this bundle – it’s not worth it.
Saviors of Sapphire Wings / Stranger of Sword City RevisitedCompilation / First-Person Dungeon CrawlerC-
Included GamesSaviors of Sapphire Wings, Stranger of Sword City Revisited
tl;drSaviors of Sapphire Wings / Stranger of Sword City Revisited is a Compilation of the two titular First-Person Dungeon Crawlers. Unfortunately, Sapphire Wings is hopelessly bland, Stranger of Sword City Revisited suffers from an overly-high difficulty and poorly-presented information, and both games have issues with painfully-slow progression. I do not recommend this bundle.
SGC – Short Games Collection #1CompilationC-
Included GamesA Game Literally About Doing Your Taxes, Ghostein, Swallow the Sea, The Good Time Garden, Uranus
tl;drShort Games Collection #1 is a Compilation containing five games: A Game Literally About Doing Your Taxes, Ghostein, Swallow the Sea, The Good Time Garden, and Uranus. None of these games are particularly fun, and over half of them are free to download on PC. So, mediocre games at a bad value… not worth buying.
Snap Together + Pool Together BundleCompilation / Puzzle / Sports (Pool)C-
Included GamesPool Together, Snap Together
tl;drSnap Together + Pool Together Bundle is a Compilation of the two named games, a Puzzle Game and a simple Pool game. Unfortunately, neither game is particularly worthwhile, and this bundle is not a particularly good value. You are better off spending your money elsewhere.
SolitaireCompilation / Card Game (Solitaire)C-
Included GamesSpider Solitaire, Klondike Solitaire, and Freecel Solitaire
tl;drSolitaire is a Compilation of three Card Games: Spider Solitaire, Klondike Solitaire, and Freecel Solitaire. The versions of the games on offer here are mostly decent, but this game is overall low on features, and what features are included here have some issues. It’s not a terrible package, but not great either.
Speedster’s CollectionCompilation / Driving / Racing GameC-
Included GamesCar Driver Ultimate, Sports Car Driver, Super Car Driver
tl;drSpeedster’s Collection is a Compilation of three Driving Simulation games with Racing game elements – Car Driver Ultimate, Sports Car Driver, and Super Car Driver. All three games are basically the same thing on a different map with only minor changes between them, and all three have control issues and are far too repetitive. At the very least, this bundle is a decent value, but only if you get it on sale. Just to be clear, this is a niche trio of games, and highly-flawed as well. There’s some enjoyment to be had here, but players looking for an inexpensive Racing game have much better options on Nintendo Switch.
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter & Republic Commando BundleCompilationC-
Included GamesStar Wars: Bounty Hunter, Star Wars: Republic Commando
tl;drStar Wars: Bounty Hunter & Republic Commando Bundle is a Compilation of the two named games, Third- and First-Person Shooters set during the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Neither of these games is terrible, but neither is especially great either, and you’re not getting a huge savings buying these games together in a bundle anyway. Because of this, I don’t really recommend this bundle.
Super Puzzle PackCompilation / PuzzleC-
Included GamesCandy 2048 Challenge, Gems of Magic: Lost Family, Jigsaw Fun: Piece It Together!, Match Three: Pirates! Heir to Davy Jones, Yum Yum Line
tl;drSuper Puzzle Pack is a Compilation of five family-friendly Puzzle games: Candy 2048 Challenge, Gems of Magic: Lost Family, Jigsaw Fun: Piece It Together!, Match Three: Pirates! Heir to Davy Jones, and Yum Yum Line. Most of these are uninspired knockoffs of well-worn Puzzle game types, and there’s little here to justify this package’s price, even when on sale. This isn’t the worst collection of Puzzle games, but you can do better on Nintendo Switch.
Tell Me Your Story Games CollectionCompilation / PuzzleC-
Included GamesAmelia’s Garden, Cook For Love, Tell Me Your Story
tl;drTell Me Your Story Games Collection is a Compilation of Amelia’s Garden, Cook For Love, and Tell Me Your Story, three family-friendly games with a lovely presentation but dull, tedious, and unnecessarily confusing gameplay. If you catch this bundle on sale it’s a much better deal than getting any of the included games on their own, but even so it’s hard to recommend this bundle when the included games are all mediocre at best.
Terra TrilogyCompilation / 2-Stick Shooter / ShmupC-
Included GamesTerra Lander, Terra Lander II – Rockslide Rescue, Terra Bomber
tl;drTerra Trilogy is a Compilation of Terra Lander, Terra Lander II – Rockslide Rescue, and Terra Bomber, all inspired by early Arcade Space Shooters from the late 1970s-early 1980s, and also all similarly flawed, with overly difficult gameplay due in part to the lack of proper checkpoints. This Compilation doesn’t add much value, either. Skip this one.
Trash Punk & Food Truck Tycoon Black Friday PackCompilationC-
Included GamesFood Truck Tycoon, Trash Punk
tl;drTrash Punk & Food Truck Tycoon Black Friday Pack is a Compilation containing the two named games, both different types of games, but both standing in the shadow of other, much better games on Nintendo Switch. Plus, this bundle’s price fluctuates from “decent deal” to “total rip-off”, meaning there’s a good chance it’s not worth getting even if you want both these games. I suggest you shop around for a better deal… or perhaps just look for better games.
Twist & Switch BundleCompilation / ArcadeC-
Included GamesSwitchy Road, Twister Road
tl;drTwist & Switch Bundle is a Compilation of two simple mobile-style Arcade games, Switchy Road and Twister Road. Both of these games work and aren’t terrible, but aren’t good, noteworthy, or even memorable, either. For a pair of time-wasters on Nintendo Switch, you could do worse, but you could also do so much better.
The Pew Pew Bundle Vol. 1Compilation / 2-Stick Shooter / Platformer / Shmup / RoguelikeC-
Included GamesBlack Paradox, Bleed 2, XenoRaptor
tl;drThe Pew Pew Bundle Vol. 1 is a compilation of Black Paradox, Bleed 2, and XenoRaptor, three 2D shooty games of various quality. Unfortunately, the price of this bundle offers no benefit over buying the games separately or in other better bundles. Don’t buy this bundle.
The Ultimate Sonic BundleCompilation / Platformer / 3D Platformer / Kart RacerC-
Included GamesSonic Forces, Sonic Mania, Team Sonic Racing
tl;drThe Ultimate Sonic Bundle is a Compilation containing two great Sonic games (Sonic Mania, Team Sonic Racing) and one bad one (Sonic Forces). While these games all have their merits, this overpriced bundle does not – you can easily get everything included here and more in other bundles that will end up costing you less. Unless you get a really good sale price on this bundle, don’t bother with this rip-off.
UniCompilation / ArcadeC-
Included GamesAlpha Battle, Assassin, Bartender, Basket Ball, Break Out, Catch the Flag, Chicken Race, Chop Wood, Coin Stack, Command King, Crane, Crazy Soccer, Dart, Do Androids Count of Sheep, Dodge Racer, Dodge This, Fly Me To the Moon, GoBattle, Gun Fight, Hand Tremor, Internet Disconnected, Juice Please, Landing on the Moon, LAPD, Legend Drummer, Math Quize, Moles Attack, Odd Fencing, Pinch Hitter, Pong Soccer, Road Fight, Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, Rock Paper Sense, RPG, Space War, Super Jetboy, Survival, Tank, Time!, Watch Your Back
tl;drUni is a collection of 40 mini-games that can only be played with 2 players. Most of these games are outright terrible, but there are a handful of pretty good ones mixed in here, and if you can get this collection on discount they might prove to be a good distraction. However, even the best games here are seriously lacking content and options needed to hold your interest for very long.
Zen Chess CollectionCompilation / Puzzle / Board GameC-
Included GamesZen Chess: Mate in One, Zen Chess: Mate in Two, Zen Chess: Mate in Three, Zen Chess: Mate in Four
tl;drZen Chess Collection contains four “games” that are all variations of “Mate the opponent in X moves”. It has a nice presentation, but the lack of variety and options here is really disappointing.
#1 Crosswords Sudokus BundleCompilation / PuzzleD+
Included Games#1 Crosswords, #1 Sudokus
tl;dr#1 Crosswords Sudokus Bundle is a Compilation containing two Puzzle games: #1 Crosswords, and #1 Sudokus. Neither of these games is especially great, and while this bundle does offer some decent savings over the price of getting these games separately, I don’t know that $6 for two sub-par games really sounds all that much better than $8 for two sub-par games.
AAA Clock + Clumsy RushCompilation / Application / Arcade / Party GameD+
Included GamesAAA Clock, Clumsy Rush
tl;drAAA Clock + Clumsy Rush is a Compilation of the clock Application AAA Clock and the Arcade / Party Game Clumsy Rush. Neither of these is very compelling – AAA Clock does what it sets out to do but not much more than that, and Clumsy Rush is a frustrating Party Game that only supports two players. If you are dead-set on getting one of those two titles, this bundle might represent getting an extra title free depending on the sale price… but that still doesn’t make this a very good buy.
Arcade FuzzCompilation / ArcadeD+
Included GamesTTV3, Warpzone Drifter
tl;drArcade Fuzz is a compilation of two Arcade-style games, TTV3 and Warpzone Drifter. TTV3 has players avoiding obstacles and trying to reach the edge of the screen, and Warpzone Drifter has players steering an out-of-control car to various points on the screen in a time limit. Unfortunately, both games have frustrating visual design that doesn’t convey necessary information to the player, resulting in frequent, frustrating deaths that sap the fun out of these games.
Atari Recharged Collection 1Compilation / Arcade / 2D Space Shooter / Arcade Brick BreakerD+
Included GamesAsteroids: Recharged, Breakout: Recharged
tl;drAtari Recharged Collection 1 is a physical-only Compilation containing the Arcade-style 2D Space Shooter, Asteroids: Recharged, and the Arcade Brick Breaker, Breakout: Recharged. Of the two, Asteroids: Recharged is clearly superior, but that hardly matters because the price of this package is at least 75% higher than getting the digital games separately. Unless you absolutely must get your games in physical form, skip this… and even if you’re a physical-only gamer, you have far better choices for Arcade-style action than this bundle.
Bill and Ted’s Excellent Retro CollectionCompilation / Isometric Action-RPG / Platformer / ArcadeD+
Included GamesBill and Ted’s Excellent Video Game Adventure, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Portable Adventure (AKA Bill & Ted’s Excellent Game Boy Adventure: A Bogus Journey!)
tl;drBill and Ted’s Excellent Retro Collection is a Compilation that includes the NES game Bill and Ted’s Excellent Video Game Adventure, and the Game Boy game Bill and Ted’s Excellent Portable Adventure. Neither is very good, the extras and options included here are disappointing, and the overall package is overpriced. Even fans of this franchise will have to admit this collection is totally bogus.
Dead Fun Pack: Aliens and Penguins Strike AgainCompilation / Auto-Runner / ArcadeD+
Included GamesMutant Alien Moles of the Dead, Run Run and Die
tl;drDead Fun Pack is a compilation of two games – a terrible Auto-Runner, and a decent Wack-A-Mole game. There’s just not much here to make this package worthwhile.
Dragon’s Lair TrilogyCompilation / Arcade / FMV GameD+
Included GamesDragon’s Lair, Dragon’s Lair II, Space Ace
tl;drDragon’s Lair Trilogy is a trio of “classic” arcade FMV games, though time has not been kind to them. This package works fairly well as a nostalgic look back at a unique trilogy, but the games themselves are nearly unplayable by today’s standards. If you’re looking for fun games to play and not a historical relic, skip this one.
ExZeus: The Complete CollectionCompilation / On-Rails ShooterD+
Included GamesExZeus, ExZeus 2
tl;drExZeus: The Complete Collection is a Compilation of two On-Rails Shooters, ExZeus and ExZeus 2, that have you piloting a mech fighter against an extraterrestrial threat. There’s some old-school charm here, but overall these game have horrible controls and a dated presentation. I recommend you skip this one.
Glass Masquerade Double PackCompilation / PuzzleD+
Included GamesGlass Masquerade, Glass Masquerade 2: Illusions
tl;drGlass Masquerade Double Pack combines the two Glass Masquerade Puzzle games into one package, but does little to make buying them together all that worthwhile, especially given the major control issues both of these games have. It’s a shame too, because the presentation of the puzzles is excellent. However, if you’re curious to try them, you’re definitely better off just getting the first game on its own to try it, or snagging it in Indie Puzzle Bundle Vol. 1. Don’t bother with this bundle.
Little Racers + Red Wings: American AcesCompilationD+
Included GamesLittle Racer, Red Wings: American Aces
tl;drLittle Racers + Red Wings: American Aces is a Compilation containing the two named games. However, of the two, only Red Wings is actually worth playing. If you can get this bundle on sale for $2, it’s like you’re getting Little Racers for free when you buy Red Wings: American Aces, but otherwise you should skip this pairing.
Mini Words CollectionCompilation / Puzzle / EducationalD+
Included GamesMini Words (Mini Words – Minimalist Puzzle), Mini Words: Polyglot, Pathfinders: Mini Words
tl;drMini Words Collection is nominally a Compilation of three Puzzle games with an Educational component, but all three games play nearly-identically, having players use a small jumble of letters to spell out words. However, all three games have terrible controls and boring gameplay, and all but one of the three games has a drab and lifeless presentation. Even at a low $4, I cannot recommend this snoozefest of a game.
Power Racing BundleCompilation / Arcade RacingD+
Included GamesSpeedway Racing, WildTrax Racing
tl;drPower Racing Bundle is a compilation of Speedway Racing and WildTrax Racing, two Arcade Racing games that have a lot of shared art assets, but also both have some terrible framerate issues and game design flaws. There are a few good points here and there, but overall neither of these games is worth getting.
Power Racing Bundle 2Compilation / Arcade RacingD+
Included GamesSpeed Truck Racing, WildTrax Racing
tl;drPower Racing Bundle 2 is a compilation of Speed Truck Racing and WildTrax Racing, two Arcade Racing games that have a lot of shared art assets, but also both have some terrible framerate issues and game design flaws. There are a few good points here and there, but overall neither of these games is worth getting.
Power Racing Bundle 3Compilation / Arcade RacingD+
Included GamesSpeedway Racing, Speed Truck Racing, WildTrax Racing
tl;drPower Racing Bundle 3 is a compilation of Speedway Racing, Speed Truck Racing, and WildTrax Racing, three Arcade Racing games that have a lot of shared art assets, but also all have some terrible framerate issues and game design flaws. There are a few good points here and there, but overall none of these games is worth getting, and the bundle does little to change that.
QUByte Classics: Zero Tolerance Collection by PIKOCompilation / First-Person ShooterD+
Included GamesZero Tolerance, Zero Tolerance Underground, Beyond Zero Tolerance
tl;drQUByte Classics: Zero Tolerance Collection by PIKO is a Compilation containing a classic First-Person Shooter from the Sega Genesis, Zero Tolerance, as well as two previously-unreleased “sequels” (sort of). For fans of the original game, this is a great package, but be aware that this game has aged horribly in numerous ways, with everything from the framerates and controls to the view distance and level design being absolutely terrible by today’s standards. Unless you’re a fan of the original release, skip this Compilation.
Resident Evil Origins CollectionCompilation / Graphic Adventure / HorrorD+
Included GamesResident Evil, Resident Evil 0
tl;drResident Evil Origins Collection is a Compilation that includes Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0, two games that still look phenomenal today, but with gameplay that has aged extremely poorly. What’s more, the physical collection they find themselves in is overpriced and requires a 13.5GB download to play Resident Evil 0. There is so much wrong with this package that it is actually worse than the sum of its parts and the only people who will find it worthwhile are the series’ biggest fans… who are also likely to be the ones most disappointed by it.
Rock ‘N Racing Bundle 3 in 1Compilation / RacingD+
Included GamesGrand Prix Rock ‘N Racing, Rally Rock ‘N Racing, Rock ‘N Racing Off Road DX
tl;drRock ‘N Racing 3 in 1 Bundle is a Compilation of three Racing games, the decent but unspectacular Rally Rock ‘N Racing, the terrible Grand Prix Rock ‘N Racing, and the atrociously bad Rock ‘N Racing Off Road DX. None of these games is especially worthwhile on their own, and bundling them together doesn’t make them any better, even if you save $5 by buying them as a package. Do yourself a favor and save $25 by not buying them at all.
Rush Hours CollectionCompilation / Driving / Racing GameD+
Included GamesDrift & Drive, New York City Driver
tl;drRush Hours Collection is a Compilation of two Driving Simulation games with Racing game elements – Drift & Drive, and New York City Driving. Both games reuse the same core gameplay and share assets, but New York City Driving at least recontextualizes those elements into something interesting, while Drift & Drive seems to bring the worst parts of this template to the forefront. At the very least, this bundle is a decent value, but only if you get it on sale. However, I feel like you’re better off just getting New York City Driving on its own, if you get either game at all. Why spend more for a good deal just to get a bad game?
Speedway Bundle Stock & TruckCompilation / Arcade RacingD+
Included GamesSpeedway Racing, Speed Truck Racing
tl;drSpeedway Bundle Stock & Truck is a compilation of Speedway Racing and its direct successor Speed Truck Racing, two Arcade Racing games that have a lot of shared art assets, but also both have some terrible framerate issues and game design flaws. There are a few good points here and there, but overall neither of these games is worth getting.
Star Wars Jedi Knight CollectionCompilation / First-Person ShooterD+
Included GamesStar Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
tl;drStar Wars: Jedi Knight Collection is a Compilation of visually-improved ports of two First-Person Shooters, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Both games have aged very poorly, with terrible controls, confusing level design, and bullet sponge enemies. However, this Compilation makes things even worse by charging $10 more than the cost of buying these games separately. Unless you are a die-hard fan of the original games wanting to get a physical copy of them on Nintendo Switch, do not buy Star Wars: Jedi Knight Collection.
The Epyx Collection: HandheldCompilationD+
Included GamesBlue Lightning, California Games, Electrocop, Gates of Zendocon, Slime World, Zarlor Mercenary
tl;drThe Epyx Collection: Handheld is a Compilation containing the Atari Lynx versions of Blue Lightning, California Games, Electrocop, Gates of Zendocon, Slime World, and Zarlor Mercenary. These games are semi-obscure, and the care that has been given to this Compilation may make it attractive to collectors. However, the games themselves are mediocre at best, with most of them being outright terrible. unless you’re looking for a stark example of why the original Game Boy absolutely demolished more technically-capable hardware, skip this bundle.
The Four Kings Casino and SlotsSimulation / Compilation / Casino / Card GamesD+
Included GamesPoker, Blackjack, Baccarat, Craps, War, Video Poker, Video Blackjack, Bingo, Keno, Bowling, Slot Machines
tl;drThe Four Kings Casino and Slots is a free-to-play Casino Simulation with a wide variety of casino and card games, but that wide variety of games is the only saving grace here, as everything else is a mess of terrible graphics, poor performance, awkward controls, and poor optimization for Nintendo Switch… all in a microtransaction-filled game that’s gambling where players can spend real money but not earn it. Even fans of Casino games will find this one to be severely lacking.
Traffic Master CollectionCompilation / Driving / Racing GameD+
Included GamesCity Traffic Driver, Driving World: Italian Job, Multilevel Parking Driver
tl;drTraffic Master Collection is a Compilation of three Driving Simulation games with Racing game elements – Multilevel Parking Driver, Driving World: Italian Job, and City Traffic Driver. All three games reuse the same core gameplay and share assets, with varying degrees of success, but all three suffer from gameplay and graphical issues. At the very least, this bundle is a decent value, but only if you get it on sale. But it’s a better value for three games that are mediocre at best.
WRC Collection (8, 9, & 10)Compilation / Rally RacingD+
Included GamesWRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship, WRC 9 The Official Game, WRC 10 FIA World Rally Championship
tl;drWRC Collection (8, 9, & 10) is a Compilation containing the three named Rally Racing games. These are already a somewhat niche sort of game, and they are so similar that the average player would have difficulty telling them apart. However, they’re made worse by terrible ports to Nintendo Switch, and a bundle that’s absurdly overpriced given what’s on offer. You don’t need three of these bad ports, most Nintendo Switch players don’t even need one. Don’t waste your money on this bundle.
5 in 1 Classics: Fashion Bubble ManiaCompilation / Arcade / Match-3 PuzzleD
Included GamesFashion Girls, Fashion Princess, Fashion Friends, Bubble Puzzler, Princess Bubble Story
tl;dr5 in 1 Classics: Fashion Bubble Mania is a Compilation containing three bad knock-offs of the classic Arcade game Qix, and two mediocre knockoffs of the classic Match-3 Puzzle Bust-A-Move AKA Puzzle Bobble. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the price of this Compilation is insultingly high, and this publisher has put out another more comprehensive collection at the same price. Do not buy this bundle, it is a rip-off.
Endless Puzzle Fun CollectionCompilation / PuzzleD
Included GamesCandy 2048 Challenge, Yum Yum Line
tl;drEndless Puzzle Fun Collection is a Compilation of two family-friendly Puzzle games: Candy 2048 Challenge and Yum Yum Line. Both are extremely simple, shallow Puzzle games, and this bundle barely saves you anything on their bloated, way too high prices. Do not buy this.
Hidden Gems: Volume OneCompilation / ArcadeD
Included GamesGilligan’s Gold, Horace Goes Skiing, Mutant Monty, and N.O.M.A.D.
tl;drHidden Gems: Volume One is a Compilation of four mostly Arcade-style games from the Commodore 64 platform: Gilligan’s Gold, Horace Goes Skiing, Mutant Monty, and N.O.M.A.D.. All four of these games are terrible and not worth your time or money. Don’t buy this Compilation.
Nintendo LABO Toy-Con 02: Robot KitAccessory / Minigame Collection / Action / Misc.D
Included GamesHangar, Robo-Studio, VS, Robot, Challenge, Calories
tl;drNintendo LABO Toy-Con 02: Robot Kit is a really unique hybrid of a Minigame Collection, a series of Accessories you create yourself using the included pieces of custom-made cardboard, and a Misc. tool you can use to explore the features of the Nintendo Joy-Con controllers. However, compared to all of the other Nintendo LABO kits, this one is worse in just about every way – there are fewer minigames on offer with less variety and frustrating, awkward gameplay, with glorified menu screens presented as minigames to make up the difference. There’s also nothing here that can be used in other videogames, unlike the other LABO kits. And what little fun there is to be found here are features that are already in the other much better LABO kits. If you want to try Nintendo LABO, go for any of the other LABO kits, this one is the worst of the lot.
QUByte Classics: Thunderbolt Collection by PIKOCompilation / ShmupD
Included GamesThunderbolt Fighting Plane, Thunderbolt II
tl;drQUByte Classics: Thunderbolt Collection by PIKO is a Compilation of two unlicensed Shmups never previously released in the US, Thunderbolt Fighting Plane and Thunderbolt II. Unfortunately, apart from the novelty of actually owning these games, there’s little value here – both games are terribly broken and poorly-designed Shmups, and there are far too many good games in this genre on Nintendo Switch to waste your money on this pair.
Radical Rex (QUByte Classics)Compilation / PlatformerD
Included GamesBaby T-Rex AKA We’re Back: A Dinosaur’s Story (Game Boy), Radical Rex (Super Nintendo)
tl;drRadical Rex is a Compilation containing the SNES version of the Platformer Radical Rex as well as the Game Boy Platformer, Baby T-Rex (released as We’re Back: A Dinosaur’s Story in the US). Neither game is good, with the Game Boy game being especially awful. Skip these “classics”.
Rock ‘N Racing Bundle Off Road & RallyCompilation / RacingD
Included GamesRock ‘N Racing Off Road DX, Rally Rock ‘N Racing
tl;drRock ‘N Racing Bundle Off Road & Rally is a Compilation of two Racing games, the decent but unspectacular Rally Rock ‘N Racing, and the absolutely terrible Rock ‘N Racing Off Road DX, all for the value price of… a penny more than it costs to get the games separately. In other words, don’t bother with this bundle – it’s not worth it.
Solitaire Card GamesCompilation / Card Game (Solitaire)D
Included GamesKings Klondike, Kings Spider, and Kings TriPeaks
tl;drSolitaire Card Games is a Compilation of three Card Games, Klondike, Spider, and TriPeaks… except the game can’t be played in docked mode, the controls are terrible, the presentation is inconsistent, there’s a lack of options, and the game they call TriPeaks isn’t even TriPeaks! There are plenty of other solitaire games on the Nintendo Switch, skip this one.
Star Wars: Prequel PackCompilationD
Included GamesStar Wars: Bounty Hunter, Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles, Star Wars Episode I Racer, Star Wars: Republic Commando
tl;drStar Wars: Prequel Pack is a Compilation containing four games all set within the timeframe of the Star Wars prequel trilogy of films. None of these games is especially great, and one of them is outright terrible, and this bundle doesn’t even give you a good bargain for getting the games together. If you want any of these games, just get them on their own and skip the bundle.
The Jackbox Party Pack 4Compilation / Party GamesD
Included GamesFibbage 3, Survive the Internet, Monster Seeking Monster, Bracketeering, Civic Doodle
tl;drThe Jackbox Party Pack 4 is a Collection of Party Games that includes five games that players play using their Smartphone instead of a controller. Of all the Jackbox collections so far, this is my least favorite, with three of the games here being absolute trash. If it wasn’t for the brilliant Fibbage 3 being in this collection, it would be a complete waste, and since you can get the earlier Fibbage games in Party Pack 1 and 2 (along with other good games), there’s little reason to get this one unless you’ve exhausted those and absolutely need more Fibbage.
2in1 – Application Driver and Serial Killer / SniperCompilation / ArcadeD-
Included GamesApp Driver, Serial Killer With Sniper
tl;dr2in1 – Application Driver and Serial Killer / Sniper presents players with two games that both have players trying to kill as many innocent people as possible. While there may have been some potential for chaotic fun here, that potential is killed by extremely shallow gameplay, poor performance, and the overwhelming feeling that this is two woefully incomplete concepts being sold as a game. Do not be fooled into buying this.
Bundle: Monster Dynamite + Ultimate RunnerCompilationD-
Included GamesMonster Dynamite, Ultimate Runner
tl;drBundle: Monster Dynamite + Ultimate Runner is a Compilation containing the two named games, both mediocre games that seem a lot like mobile games, but are priced far, far higher than they’re worth, and even the bundle pricing here doesn’t change that fact. Do not buy this.
Dungeon Nightmares 1 + 2 CollectionCompilation / First-Person HorrorD-
Included GamesDungeon Nightmares, Dungeon Nightmares 2
tl;drDungeon Nightmares 1 + 2 Collection is a Compilation of two First-Person Horror games. Unfortunately, both games are similarly ugly, simple, feature poor controls, and offer repetitive, boring environments. You have plenty of better options on the Nintendo Switch.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl Double PackCompilation / Turn-Based Monster Collecting JRPGD-
Included GamesPokemon Brilliant Diamond, Pokemon Shining Pearl
tl;drPokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl Double Pack is a Bundle containing the two named Turn-Based Monster Collecting JRPGs without any sort of discount (in fact, it’s a penny more than buying them separately). Both games are virtually identical, the game in question being a game with good core gameplay, but gameplay that is largely unchanged from virtually every other recent game in the franchise, all of which are better than this one in a multitude of ways. You have better options for Pokemon games if you want a Pokemon game, but even if you want both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl for some reason, there is still no reason to get this bundle when you can buy the individual games separately for less.
Star Wars: Grand CollectionCompilationD-
Included GamesStar Wars: Bounty Hunter, Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles, Star Wars Episode I Racer, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Star Wars: Republic Commando, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
tl;drStar Wars: Grand Collection is a Compilation containing nine Star Wars games. Unfortunately, only three of these games are truly worth playing, and this bundle’s absolutely massive $140 price tag isn’t worth it even if you’re resolved to get all of these games, as there are much less expensive ways to get these games. But whatever the reason, you should absolutely not get this bundle.
Fashion Gals: 3 in 1 Bundle!Compilation / ArcadeF
Included GamesFashion Friends, Fashion Girls, Fashion Princess
tl;drFashion Gals: 3 in 1 Bundle! is a Compilation containing Fashion Friends, Fashion Girls, and Fashion Princess, three Arcade-style fashion-themed games with gameplay styled like the classic game Qix. However, these are terrible copycats, the bundle doesn’t really provide any savings, and this same publisher has other bundles with more games for a lower price. There is no reason you should buy this waste of money.
Hentai Games CollectionCompilation / PuzzleF
Included GamesHentai Girls, Hentai Golf, Hentai Stars, Hentai World
tl;drHentai Games Collection is a Compilation containing Hentai Girls, Hentai Golf, Hentai Stars, and Hentai World, four games that are all absolutely terrible and try to entice you into buying them with sexy anime-style girls. Do yourself a favor and just look for that sorta’ thing on a search engine. Even at the sale price of $2, these games aren’t worth it.
Mega Bundle CatsCompilationF
Included Games.cat, Chubby Cat, Fly Cat
tl;drMega Bundle Cats includes .cat, Chubby Cat, and Fly Cat, three simple games that are all terrible, and yet this bundle makes things worse by being a terrible deal – if you’re committed to getting these awful games, there are multiple other bundles that cost the same or even less that include all three, as well as other games. As such, there is absolutely no reason you should touch this terrible package.
Rock ‘N Racing Bundle Off Road & Grand PrixCompilation / Top-Down RacingF
Included GamesGrand Prix Rock ‘N Racing, Rock ‘N Racing Off Road DX
tl;drRock ‘N Racing Bundle Off Road & Grand Prix is a Compilation of two Top-Down Racing games, both of them terrible, with unwieldy controls that players will struggle with. And to top it off, this bundle presents zero value – it’s actually slightly more expensive than buying both games separately. So save yourself some money and headache, and stay far away from these games.
The Monty Mole CollectionCompilation / PlatformerF
Included GamesWanted! Monty Mole, Monty on the Run, Auf Wiedersehen Monty, Moley Christmas, Sam Stoat: Safebreaker
tl;drThe Monty Mole Collection is a Compilation containing five games from the aforementioned series, and every last one of them is terrible. There are decent features and options here, but did you not see what I just wrote? All of the games here are bad. Move along.
